One hundred years from now
It won't matter who you thought you were,
Who I thought you were,
How much money you had,
What kind of truck you drove,
How many cattle you had,
Or how many bulls you rode,
Nor who yer daddy was,
But it will matter if you knew Jesus.

Bowfishing {2.10.12}

Clint and I went bowfishing with some friends on Lake LBJ. Poor Landon was very curious as to where we were going on "date night" {I guess this is what a date is these days?...I guess I will tak what I can get} dressed in "hunting clothes"
He told me I looked handsome!?
Clint had told him that he was taking Mama on a date and he couldn't go so he wasn't too happy.
He survived with Mimi and Kylee though.
It was pretty cold, I looked like a marshmallow man...I had 4 sweat shirts on and looked like a fat beast! Everything but my toes was warm though. I can never get my toes warm!

It was actually a lot of fun. We all had a great time. Everyone got at least one fish...except me...I was just above or just below them all. :( and one guy didn't get a fish, but he did get a beaver!

First Tball Practice {2.23.12}

Landon had his first Tball practice on Thursday. This is his first year playing and he is all excited.
He got all his gear gathered and ready to go! He was so excited he was goofy! :)
They played outfield and batted through two rotations
Daddy was home in time to go too for pep talks, encouragement and instruction. Mama was just there for picture taking :)

He had an awesome first hit! I think we have a future star! LOl!

HEART Day!

My boys are "Tha Bomb" and I told them so this year for Valentine's Day!
Landon (and his Daddy) love rolos so I made them "bombs" out of rolos.
Clint said Landon was excited when he found them.
I had left them out for them when I went to work.
I made these cupcakes and toppers for Landon to take to the sitters house, and to a few of his friends this year. I am not ready for my "baby" to grow up, but I am ready for school party fun! :)
I love doing this stuff!!
My boys had flowers delivered to me at work this year for Valentine's day. Clint said Landon also wanted to get me a life size teddy bear, but he would not let him :)
This balloon came with my flowers, but when I got home from work with it Landon did just as I expected he would. He took it off and sent it to his Hunny in heaven. When he gets balloons he sends them all to her. It was so sweet. He told me "I have to have that for my Hunny" He was only 8 months when we lost her, and its suprises me how much he remembers/talks about her. She is in our hearts forever.
Me and my Valentine, I just LOVE this little man!! He makes my heart happy!!

SNOW!!

After church and lunch on Sunday 2.12.12 it started snowing!
The kids ran right out and started playing in it.
Landon was so excited!
He said "Mama, you prayed for rain, but I prayed for snow!! and its snowing!!"
After only about 30 min of snow, I was not tired of the snow, but was however tired of seeing tongues! :0) Kylee and her friend Kyndall were trying to catch snow.
Me and my boy!
Kylee
After the snow stopped, and everyone was cold, we came in and made hot chocolate, and smores..in the fireplace! Yummmmy! :)

My "baby" is ready for T-Ball

Now that Landon is 4 he is old enough to play youth league T-Ball. It kind of hurts my feelings that by little baby boy is growing up so fast. Clint took him to sign up for T-ball on Saturday 1.28.12. This will be his first year, and he is very exited. I was at work so the two of them decided it was perfect timing for then to go get new gear. I think Clint bought everything in the store that the kid could possibly need to play T-Ball. He is all set and ready to go once the season starts. We go on Feb.11 to see what team he is on and who his coach is. We also pick team names and colors that day. Its gonna be fun. I can't wait to see a bunch of 4 year olds running around on the field with no clue.:)
Clint is trying to prepare Landon some for practice and games though. We want him to have a little bit of a clue. They have been practicing the basics since Landon got all of his gear and he is really enjoying it. He is not scared of the ball by any means and loves to hit the ball as hard as he can off the tee.

I do believe he is the very cutest T-ball player I have ever seen, though I may be a little partial. :)

Landon's First Trip to the Dentist

Landon went to the dentist for the first time on Jan.26, 2012. He talked all week about how excited he was to be going to the "cowboy" dentist. The dentist we chose to go to has cowboy theme with a small western town setup in the lobby. It was really cute. They sent Landon and email reminding him of his appointment, and even a text message to my phone the morning of. Well, the morning of the appointment, Landon wasn't as excited as he had been. He decided he was "shy" and "didn't like the dentist", he didn't want to go anymore.
It took him a little while to open up, and I got kicked some in the process, but he ended up doing really good. He has all 20 of his baby teeth, and they are clean as a whistle per the dentist.
Our next appointment will be the end of July. At this appointment they will actaually clean his teeth and do xrays. We didn't want to press our luck on the first trip. :) The doctor got to get a good look at his teeth on the first trip and determined they were in great shape so that was a good first trip according to him.
Landon was really proud of his goody bag from the dentist. He got a new tooth brush, paste, floss, and flossers. He also got a toy. Mama got a little goody bag as well. As soon as we got home Landon went and brushed and flossed his teeth.
We now have 6 months to prepare for our next visit. He is supposed to take a picture of himself at his first mutton bustin' so the hygenist can see. :) He is quite the ladies man at all the doctors offices he visits. :)

Shootin' Range

Clint went to the shooting range on jan.2 to sight in his gun before one last deer hunt of the season. I was at work so Landon went with him. This was Landon's first trip to a shooting range and Clint said he did excellent. Not to mention he thought he was hot stuff sighting in his own {BB} gun. :) My little man is ALL BOY!
