One hundred years from now
It won't matter who you thought you were,
Who I thought you were,
How much money you had,
What kind of truck you drove,
How many cattle you had,
Or how many bulls you rode,
Nor who yer daddy was,
But it will matter if you knew Jesus.

Christmas at Pappo's

Christmas night we all met at Pappos house for lots of yummy food and more gifts for the kids. They started with their stockings. The stockings are always full of candy and other goodies. They got slinkeys that were the highlight of the night. :)
One of Landon's gifts was Iron Man
Sweet Pierson really wanted that candy stick
Cora got a pop corn maker. She could live off of pop corn.
Super Heroes were the theme, Jak got Captain America gear
Parker got an Iron Man too.
They all seemed to open gifts forever before they were done. They got lots of awesome things and were very thankful for them.

Christmas Morning

Landon woke up Christmas morning to lots of presents from Santa under the tree.
He carefully opened and inspected each one. He was so excited about them all. He wanted to stop and play with each one he opened.
He got the "real Lightening McQueen" that he asked for.
He had to open some of the gifts with his knife. :)
He got lots of awesome stuff that he was really excited about.
His stocking had candy and silly straws in it. He had asked for some stilly straws too. :)

He got a scooter and had to ride it before we left for church. Seeing the excitement on his face with each gift was priceless.
After or Christmas at home we went to church and then that evening we went to Pappo's house for a bunch of yummy food and more gifts.

I've Got Proof Santa Was Here :)

I have several items of proof that Santa was in our house Chirstmas Eve night.
1. He ate most of the cookies we left out, and drank the milk.
2. He left lots of presents under our tree
3. He filled the stockings with lots of goodies
But, the best proof I have is a PICTURE of Santa himself in front our our tree eating a cookie. :)
We put the proof with Landon's stocking so that he would know as soon as he got up and went to his stocking that Santa had come.
Now thats good proof! :)
I caught Santa!

Christmas Eve BowlingFun

Today Clint, Landon, Mimi and I went bowling for some Christmas Eve fun.
We went and ate lunch at Zios Italian and then went bowled for a couple of hours.
We had lots of fun. All the adults acutally got a strike or two each.
Clint won first, I was second and Mimi beat Landon by only one point to come in third.
Landon brought up the rear, but looked the cutest bowling as usual.
He loves bowling, at the bowling alley or on the wii.

It was a nice Christmas Eve. We are going to feed the reindeer and set out cookies for Santa tonight and wait for presents at home in the morning. Followed by church, then Christmas at Pappos with LOTS of yummy food!
Mama is gonna need to start over on the diet and exercise plan in the new year after all the food, as usual! :)

Feeding the Reindeer, and Santa

After an afternoon of bowling on Christmas Eve, and an evening of movie watching, it was time to feed the reindeer and set out cookies and milk for Santa.
It has been cold and rainy all day so Landon ended up shaking all the food out of the bag into one spot instead of sprinkling it inorder to get back in the house quicker for all of us, but it will serve its purpose I am sure. :)

I am certain the red and green sparles will help lead Santa and the reindeer to our house and they will love the food.

This year we left chocolate chip cookies and white milk for Santa. I hope he doesn't mind not getting Dr. Pepper this year like he did last year.
Merry Chirstmas!!

The Reindeer Food is Ready

Tonight I prepared the bags of reindeer food for the kids to sprinkle in the yard on Chirstmas Eve. I had originally made my own tag that I was much happier with,{it was much cuter in my opinion} until I printed it. The font I chose didn't print well so I gave in and used a premade one I found online.
The little bags are filled with oatmeal, white sugar, and red and green sugar crystals.
(I read online its best to use the sugar crystals instead of craft glitter because using craft glittter can harm birds and other small animals and we certainly dont't want to harm others while feeding Rudolph and the rest of the gang)
We are ready to sprinkle the reindeer food in the lawn on Chirstmas Eve night so that Santa can easily find our house. :)

WILD, WILD Boys!

Clint and I left Landon at Pappo's house with him and Heydoo Sunday so that he could play with Jakson and Cora while we started/finished up our Christmas shopping.
Jakson got a skate board at the Montgomery Family Christmas on Saturday and they played on it Saturday night and on Sunday after church while we were gone. Heather went out to check on them, and this is what she found. Those boys were going down the slide, on the skate board! They are wild, and have NO fear.
Oh to be 4 and 5 years old again!
They were having a blast and actually thought it was ok to be doing that. And I guess Heydoo thought it was too, long enough for her to get pictures to show me what I was missing. :)
Look at their excitement! :) I just love those boys! And all their wild boy activities!

Birthday Weekend

Saturday (12.17) night we all got together at Pappo's house for chicken wings that Cody made for mine and Heather's birthday (12.19).
The kids roasted marshmallows and hotdogs in the fire. Its nice that it has finally rained enough here that they have lifted the burn ban, at least for a little while.
Landon, Parker and Jakson all worked hard to keep the wood pile ready for the fire.
My little man stopped long enought to take a picture with his old Mama.
And see my awesome tooled leather bracelet Heather had made for me for my bday? It has a really cool cross in the center and flowers/tooling around it. I LOVE it.
The wings!
Code-Man makes the BEST wings! Who needs Pluckers when you have a brother that can do it better. We had hot ones, and these really really yummy ones with this asian sauce that he created on his own. YUMM!!!
It was a fun night with family, followed by a full tummy.

Santa e-mailed Landon this year too!

Santa emailed Landon again this year, and he was just as excited this year as he was last year.
He watched it very closely, listening carefully to what all Santa had to say
An e-mail just for Landon

He was so happy that Santa knew he had rode his first sheep this year, and that he got a new puppy named Lucy.
He was also happy that Santa knows that he wants Captain America this year.
Landon was really exicted that Santa and his elves put him on the NICE list for always trying to be good about picking his toys up and putting them away.

Bakin' with Pappo

Landon, Pappo, and I made gingerbread cookies the other day (12.13.11) Pappo already had the dough ready so we just had to roll it and cut it out.
Landon really liked rolling the dough.
He was a little over zealous with the cutting of the cookies, Pappo had to slow him down so he'd quit randomly placing the cookies, causing him to have to re-roll the dough.

After we got them baked, it was time for decorating the gingerbread men, snow men, trees and candy canes we had made.
The finished product. Landon is such a good little helper.
