We had a busy weekend this weekend. Friday Clint and Landon left to go to the deer lease and fill feeders while I worked on Saturday. I went to church on Sunday and they finally got home just before I did. Then, we left to go to Zeb's birthday party and then on to Mimi and Johnnie's for the night. We came home from Mimi's Monday, unloaded the car, repacked our bags and Landon and I were on the road again. The two of us went to Heather's house to help her unpack in their newest house in Comanche. {we got lots done, but still some to do} We were TIRED when we finally went to bed Monday night. We slept in Jakson's bed and when Heather came in to get clothes for him to wear, this is how she found Landon and I...cuddlin' close in the bed. It really looks more like he had me in the head-lock. :) He is my sweet little man and I LOVE cuddlin' with him. He is growing up too fast and do NOT look forward to the day he is too "big" to cuddle with his Mama anymore.

First Lake Trip Of Summer 2011
We made our first trip to the lake for the summer this past weekend. We went as kind of an anniversary trip for Clint and I {5 years on Friday} We went to Granger Lake. Clint, Landon and I went on Thurday afternoon. We walked around the bank of the lake and rode our bikes to the playground area. Landon is a really good bike rider, hes not scared to fall, so the training wheels that barely touch the ground as it is may be taken off before we know it. We also played on the slip-n-slide. Friday we got our jug lines ready and played around with our water guns and kite while we waited to go get Kylee from her game. The game ended up getting rained out so we came back to the lake and visited with Mimi and Johnny. We played checkers, and a big rain storm came through so the kids played in the rain and made mud pies. Saturday Pawpaw and Nana came and brought their pontoon boat. That was a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed being able to move around on the boat and be comfortable. The fishing boat we had wasn't very comfortable. We were still able to check the jug lines off the pontoon boat too. We ended up getting of the lake because we were afraid the weather was going to get bad, there were some crazy clouds forming. We just ended up with some lightning and thunder Saturday night, no rain at all. It was a great family weekend and a great start to the summer and many more lake trips. If only we could afford our own pontoon boat.....

Happy Birthday Daddy
Clint turned 31 on May 15. We celebrated at home with a steak fillet, onion grilled potatoes and green beans. We also had cupcakes. {leftovers from Aunt Sharon's breast cancer benefit :)} Mimi came and stayed the night too. We ate supper, sang happy birthday, gave him a small gift, and watched a movie. Sweet and simple, a nice day as a family.

Landon learned that...
...ropin' off the four wheeler may not be such a good idea, espeically if you aren't paying close attention to where your rope goes.
We went to the shop on the 4 wheeler Saturday night to get a bale of hay for the horses and Landon was still carrying his rope around with him. I was on the back of it so I really couldn't see much around Clint as to what was going on. Well, all of a sudden Landon started shouting "it hurt, it hurt" But never started to cry a lot. Clint looked down and saw that he had let his rope drop and it caught in the 4 wheeler tire and was pulling thru his fingers but he couldnt't/didn't let go if it. He had some nasty rope burn and swollen fingers! I didn't even want to look because I just knew they were cut half off or something from the rope. Luckily they weren't and Landon is too tough for his own good. He wouldn't use his fingers for a little bit, {until he found some more trouble to get into :)} They are pretty sore looking, but starting to heal, and he doesn't let it bother him, so I have to learn to not let it bother me I guess.
We will definately have to go get more in stock for all of the stuff this boy gets into, he has requested Toy Story and Spongebob ones.

BSCC Playday #3
BSCC Playday #3 has come and gone. We have one more to go to. We are also thinking about going to a series that will be in Georgetown held by the Georgetown Area Cowboy Church. {First of 5 today, so we are missing it, we will have to make the next 4 for for awards}
It was not our weekend with Kylee so we didn't stay for all of her events, but the last playday will be our weekend. There will then be more pics of her running instead of just warming up and stuff. She has really gotten comfortable on Hannah. And Kyndall had gotten really good too. She runs in the lead line age group, but she is already going on her own, at only her 3rd playday ever. These two girls will be unstoppable. And Landon as well, whether its on a horse or those dad-burn bulls. His shirt her wore said "Bull Rider In Training" And he had a saddle he fit in better this weekend, so Clint could run faster without worrying about him falling out of the saddle. Landon grinned and yelled "ye-hah!" every run.
Here are a few of the pics from the playday.

Party Deco for Zeb
Zeb's Mama (his Daddy is a friend of Clints) asked me if I would mind making party decorations for his 3rd birthday party. And I of course said yes. She sent me a picture of the plates she found to use and thats what I went off to make the decorations. I made a banner, 16 party favor bag tags, and 24 cupcake toppers using the main colors of the plates and some of the designs it it..guitars and skull and cross bones...I hope she is please with them.

What The..Hail!??....
Last Tuesday we got a little bit of rain. Then Wednesday night we got lots more rain and lots of HAIL. It hit hard and fast and was LOUD. We opened the door to look and Landon said "that really really scares me, don't go outside anymore" Once it slowed down some, Landon decicded he wanted to go see it, then decided he wanted to eat it. Thursday we got more rain and ended up with about 2.5 inches. {and more hail on my car while I was at work :(}

Rain!?!
It rained for a whole 5 minutes this afternoon! Landon and I went and fed horses and it was thundering in the distance. We got home and it started raining so Landon wanted to go play in it. It actually rained enough to come out of the gutters. Crazy how we get excited about rain around here!?!

We are expecting and praying for some more rain this evening and tomorrow. The prayer worked today so keep it up!! We need all the rain we can get and all He will give us!
While we were out on the front porch watching it rain we discovered that our swallows that visit us every summer had babies! These swallows build a nest in the same place every summer and I just leave them alone even though they make a mess on the porch because they eat mosquitos. And now we have baby skeeter eaters!! They are so cute. They were stretching their necks out with their mouths wide open, waiting for their mama to return with supper.

Temple Air Show 2011
One Mother's Day after church we went to Temple to eat with Mimi and then went on to the Temple Air Show. I took my camera this time. We went on Friday night last year after we picked up Kylee and I didn't take my camera because I didn't know we were going. The bad part is, I am STILL carrying TWO disposable cameras in my purse that I bought and took pics with, but have not had developed yet! How pathetic is that!? I took tons of pics of all the military planes and jets, etc.
Also, Landon has been saying for a long time that he wants to ride in a "helli-cock-iller" [helicopter] Well, just our luck they were selling rides at the air show. He kept saying he wanted to ride it so we decided we would let him. Though we both truly thought he would change his mind when it came down to it. But he didn't. He loved it! He said "holy-mocka-mole, I love you mama!" during the ride. It was so cute. He loved the ride and thought seeing all the stuff from the sky was awesome. Clint and I enjoyed it too, though I have been on a helicopter before. It was both boys first trip and they did great. :)
Here are some of the many pics I took at the air show and from the helicopter ride....
