One hundred years from now
It won't matter who you thought you were,
Who I thought you were,
How much money you had,
What kind of truck you drove,
How many cattle you had,
Or how many bulls you rode,
Nor who yer daddy was,
But it will matter if you knew Jesus.

I wish this were OK for me to do!

Daddy has been working out of town, so Landon and I have to go feed on our own. It was 112 degrees here today, already 106 at lunch time after church. So need less to say, at 6pm when we went to feed it was still HOT. But, it had cooled back to 106 again.
I wish it was ok for me to do what Landon gets to do when he gets too hot while feeding the horses....he strips down and gets in the water trough. At first I thouht it was kinda gross, being the horses drink out of there, but then again it is SO HOT. If I were a 3 year old boy I probably would too!! Must be nice!! Mommy's aren't allowed to do that kind of stuff after carrying feed buckets and bales of hay! :(

ABC's

I'm not "cool" and I don't have a pinterest account, but I found this and thought it was cool and wanted to share! I dont remember where I found it to give credit to the one that created it, but I love it!
I can't get Landon to sing the ABC song to me, much less memorize bible verses with the letters, but I hope we get there one day soon. He is Mr. Smarty Pants in more ways in more ways than one, and does stuff on his own time. Like telling me he can't count to 10 , yet he goes from 10 to 17!? I "love" how he just loves to mess with me sometimes. 3yr olds!

Back To School Gifts 2011-2012

Cora is starting 3rd grade and Jakson is starting Pre-K this 2011-20122 school year. These are printables that I made for them to give to their teachers this year on the first day tomorrow 8.22.11.
Heather framed them for them and got them all ready. I thought the poem was really cute.
And as a first day of school after school snack I made them and Kylee these little treats. They are baggies with Smarties candy in them and say
"Hey Smartie Pants, I hope your first day of (grade) was great!"
(Kylee is in 2nd grade, Cora 3rd, and Jak is starting Pre-K)

Heather always makes bentos for Cora's lunch. She bought the goodbyn box last year and hasn't used it, so she will start this school year. Cora wanted humming bird stickers for it instead of using the ones that came in it. I was in charge if making that happen.
This is the best I could do, and I still didn't get it to her for use one the first day of school :(
But she will have it soon. I punched her name (in red per her request), little humming birds and hybiscus flowers and made them into stickers with my neat little sticker maker. Then I put a little modge podge over them to try to water proof them a little bit and make them last a little while before its time to change them up again.

Topsey Exotic Ranch

Saturday 8.20.11
We went to the Topsey Exotic Ranch today. It's good there because you stay in your air conditioned car and drive thru the ranch, and the animals come to you. You can feed them our your window, and most of them are a little too friendly actaully. We had several reach into the car, and a few jump on the side of the car. Landon really enjoyed feeding all the various species of animals, and really thought it was funny when they reached into the car.
It was a great little family outing, finished up with dinner and Namis...YUM!!!
Here are some of the pics from your drive thru the Exotic Ranch.

Lunch & A Movie

Today, I had a lunch date and went to a movie with my favorite little guy. He chose Taco Bell for lunch, so we got steak taquitos, and then went on to the Movies.
He chose to see The Smurfs. It was really cute. Or "smurferific" as they would say! :)
I really enjoyed the day with my little man. He sat right beside me eating his pop corn, and holding my hand.
I just LOVE every minute with him. He make me so happy. The other day, he came to me and said "Mama you make my heart feel so happy!" It was so sweet, I smiled the rest of the day.
(First Movie: Cars 2 with Daddy and Kylee, 2nd Movie: ZooKeeper with Mama and Daddy, and 3rd: Smurfs on a date with Mama. :) I think I have made up for Clint taking Landon to see his first movie with out me by taking him to see the Smurfs because he wanted to see it too. :)

HOT Summer Days

It goes without saying, but it is HOT outside. So we have to do as much as possible indoors. One day last week Clint and I took Landon to see Zoo Keeper. It was really good, and funny. The best part was when my little "white boy" busted out dancing to the music. It was hilarious!!
We have had Kylee this week, and she stayed a couple days with MiMi. We have watched some movies in the evening with Daddy when he got home from work. Last night, we watched Soul Surfer. I really liked it for some reason.
Today, I took the kids to The Big Bounce in Cedar Park. Aunt YaYa and Parker and Pierson joined us too. This place is neat because no one over the age of 10 is allowed in, so no huge kids in there. And there is a seperate section for 4yr old and under. They can go to the other side with the "big kids" if they want, but its at their "own risk" Of course our boys can handle it! :) I caught Landon once rolling on the floor of one bounce houses throwing punches because "that boy knocked me and Kylee off the plane" At least I know he can hold his own, and he protects his sister, even if she is older. :)
Here are few of the pic from our FUN day in the A/C!

BSCC Playday Awards

The kids had the BSCC Playday Awards on Saturday. They attended all the playdays and qualified for the awesome awards. Landon got an awesome buckle, that he is very proud of, and a feed bucket with horse treats, brushes and combs. He also got a little bible.
Kylee got her 4th place buckle and a hay bag with horse treats and brushes in it too. She also got a bible.
It was a little chaotic and hot at the awards, so it was hard to get pictures there. But, I did convince them to let me take a few more of them when we went to feed the horses before going to eat dinner.
Here are some pics of our little cowboy and cowgirl with their new buckles and awards.
