One hundred years from now
It won't matter who you thought you were,
Who I thought you were,
How much money you had,
What kind of truck you drove,
How many cattle you had,
Or how many bulls you rode,
Nor who yer daddy was,
But it will matter if you knew Jesus.

In Our Hearts

It's been three years today since we lost our Hunny.
At the store today, Landon helped pick some flowers out to take to her grave.
For those who mean the most to us are never really gone.
For in our hearts and in our thoughts their momory lives on.

Comanche Pow Wow

This weekend Landon, Kylee and I went and spent the weekend in Comanche since Daddy had to work. They were having the Pow Wow this weekend so we went to that and had lots of fun. There were lots of booths, with lots of stuff to want. The best part of the day was the Indians dancing. The kids did a dance with the Indians, I think it was called the chicken dance (not the same one we all know) Then, they had the parents all join in and we all did the friendship dance. It was really neat, and really fun. {except when I trusted Kylee was following the right person and it ended up that she wasn't and they had to stop the whole thing a start over after placing her, and me because I followed her, and a few others in the right spot.:)}
It was neat seeing them do the war dance and other various ones, with the stories behind them.
I ended up forgetting my camera at Heathers house because I spent 10 minutes before we left talking Landon into putting clothes on instead of his Spider Man costume. After all of that I was aggrivated and walked out with out it. But, I did get several pics with my iphone and so did Heather. Here are a few of mine from my phone.
I think this was the War Dance

It was a great weekend! We all had lots of fun, and I feel bad from all the food I ate this weekend.

My Lil Chef

Landon likes to help me cook. This morning I offered to make him pancakes for breakfast. He said "of course, but I want to help" He did great. He poured the batter and flipped the pancakes when they got all bubbly and ready to turn.
He got this HEBuddy cape at a rodeo. Its a cape for Super-Landon sometimes, but when he cooks its his apron.
Good thing he has the cape on. I don't think the health department would aprrove of the nakey cooking he was doing if we were a restaurant and they came to visit. :)

He made himself a perfect pancake breakfast with my supervision, and invited his Pappo over to enjoy them with him.

Preparing our Pumpkins

Back in August when it was TOO HOT to go out side, Landon and I made a trip to Michaels. I needed a new frame to replace one that had been broken. He spotted a bin full of those "fake" pumpkins, and had to have one. I decided it would be a fun little craft for us to do together, and it would make a nice addition to our Halloween deco this year.
I bought him some purple, orange, green and silver glitter paint to decorate it with. When we got home, he had to do it right then. I dressed him in one of his Daddy's t-shirts and let him go at it.

He really concentrated on each color and what he was doing. I love that he likes to do stuff like this with me. I will enjoy it while it lasts. :)

The finished product, but without the face. He and I agreed we would let Daddy help him paint the face on. They did it one afternoon while I was at work. They got a little overboard with the black marker. Daddy put a face on it, then Landon wanted a mustche on it. Then Landon put some more "decoration" on it. It almost covers up all the neat glitter paint, but it still looks great.

Its a little early yet, but Landon and I are thinking about putting out our Halloween Decor soon!
We have a lot of indoor decor, but would like to find some more to put outside for Halloween before all the fall/Thanksgiving stuff goes out. I LOVE fall. And I would love it even more if we could get some true fall weather here.

Homecoming 2011

Heather, Brandon and the kids still live in Comanche, but he is coaching in De Leon this year. So we have gone from Black and Gold Indians to Maroon and White Bear Cats. Homecoming is this coming Friday, so this past Friday I did my yearly duty of making a mum for Cora, and a garter for Jakson. Landon went with me to pick out all of the supplies so we got a few extra things too. Here are pics of different angles of the mum and garter, and the "extras" too.

I made some noisey bells for the coaches wives, Heather and Wendy!

And the extras...Landon said that Cora and Jakson said they "really wanted these" I don't know how he knows that they would want a meagaphone since they werent with us, but we got them and I decorated them anyway so that they can cheer for their Daddy's team.

GrandParents Day 2011

Grand Parents Day is this weekend (Sunday 9.11.11)
I have the gifts {half} ready for the kids to give their grandparents.
I decorated picture cubes for them. They are nothing great, but from the heart, and in-expensive and easy. I say they are half done becasue I failed to get pictures taken of all the kids together to place on the cubes. I guess that part will have to be late getting to them as I work all weekend when all the kids will be together to get pics done.
For Pappo
For Mimi & {Papa} Johnny
For Pawpaw & Nana
{I thought they turned out pretty cute, espcially since I had some help from one of the little blessings painting them. He is my big helper! :)}

More Fun with Milk

A while back, Landon's milk spilled in the shape of a smiley face. (blogged about it) He thought it was so neat. Tonight he was eating cereal with his Daddy and his milk dripped again. He hollerd, "Hey Mama a ducky!" I went to see, and his milk had spilled in the shape of a cute little duck. I just love his imagination.

Dove Season 2011

I have taken a picture of Landon with his Daddy on the opening day of Dove Season every year since he was born. He is my lil' hunter. This year, his daddy was out of town working so they missed opening day of the season. But, they made it out on the third day (Saturday). I went along, because they wanted me to hunt too, but I just wanted to go take a few pics of the boys. I wasn't really in the mood for hunting, it was hot, and windy. {hence the ugly camo hat, sitting wompy-jogged on my head} They boys had a lot of fun together though.
