One hundred years from now
It won't matter who you thought you were,
Who I thought you were,
How much money you had,
What kind of truck you drove,
How many cattle you had,
Or how many bulls you rode,
Nor who yer daddy was,
But it will matter if you knew Jesus.

My "baby" is ready for T-Ball

Now that Landon is 4 he is old enough to play youth league T-Ball. It kind of hurts my feelings that by little baby boy is growing up so fast. Clint took him to sign up for T-ball on Saturday 1.28.12. This will be his first year, and he is very exited. I was at work so the two of them decided it was perfect timing for then to go get new gear. I think Clint bought everything in the store that the kid could possibly need to play T-Ball. He is all set and ready to go once the season starts. We go on Feb.11 to see what team he is on and who his coach is. We also pick team names and colors that day. Its gonna be fun. I can't wait to see a bunch of 4 year olds running around on the field with no clue.:)
Clint is trying to prepare Landon some for practice and games though. We want him to have a little bit of a clue. They have been practicing the basics since Landon got all of his gear and he is really enjoying it. He is not scared of the ball by any means and loves to hit the ball as hard as he can off the tee.

I do believe he is the very cutest T-ball player I have ever seen, though I may be a little partial. :)

Landon's First Trip to the Dentist

Landon went to the dentist for the first time on Jan.26, 2012. He talked all week about how excited he was to be going to the "cowboy" dentist. The dentist we chose to go to has cowboy theme with a small western town setup in the lobby. It was really cute. They sent Landon and email reminding him of his appointment, and even a text message to my phone the morning of. Well, the morning of the appointment, Landon wasn't as excited as he had been. He decided he was "shy" and "didn't like the dentist", he didn't want to go anymore.
It took him a little while to open up, and I got kicked some in the process, but he ended up doing really good. He has all 20 of his baby teeth, and they are clean as a whistle per the dentist.
Our next appointment will be the end of July. At this appointment they will actaually clean his teeth and do xrays. We didn't want to press our luck on the first trip. :) The doctor got to get a good look at his teeth on the first trip and determined they were in great shape so that was a good first trip according to him.
Landon was really proud of his goody bag from the dentist. He got a new tooth brush, paste, floss, and flossers. He also got a toy. Mama got a little goody bag as well. As soon as we got home Landon went and brushed and flossed his teeth.
We now have 6 months to prepare for our next visit. He is supposed to take a picture of himself at his first mutton bustin' so the hygenist can see. :) He is quite the ladies man at all the doctors offices he visits. :)

Shootin' Range

Clint went to the shooting range on jan.2 to sight in his gun before one last deer hunt of the season. I was at work so Landon went with him. This was Landon's first trip to a shooting range and Clint said he did excellent. Not to mention he thought he was hot stuff sighting in his own {BB} gun. :) My little man is ALL BOY!

Kylee at Youth Fair 2012

Kylee participated in the Coryell County Youth Fair again this year.
We got there just as she was finishing.
The show was supposed to be at 11 so we thought we had plenty of time leaving the house at 930. But, it ended up being at 10 so we missed her. :(
I still got a few pics of her and the goat she showed though.

4 Year Pics

Landon turned 4 and Mama got another reason to take more pictures, as if I need a reason.
He agreed to take some pics on our way home from running errands one day so I obliged. :)
They weren't where I had hoped to take them, and they aren't my favorite pics, but I still got some. :) He makes them all look good.
I just LOVE my little cowboy!!
Here are a FEW of the MANY that I took.

Pappo Turned 60!

Pappo turned 60 this year on the 10th so we celebrated on the 7th after Landon's party with a SURPRISE party. We invited all of his sisters and brothers and their spouses to come. All but one brother and one sister were able to make it. We asked everyone to bring their own steak to grill and we provied several yummy appetizers, baked potatoes, green beans, and rolls. It was OH SO YUMMY!!!
We of course had cake that Laura made as well. Her cakes are yummy, two in one day!
Cody kept Pappo distracted after Landon's party for about an hour while the girls got stuff set up and ready to go. He was wondering what all the cars were doing at his house. He said he thought maybe the house was on fire or something.

Pappo with his kiddos. Me, Heather and Cody
Pappo with his cake and kisses
All the sisters and brothers and spouses.
I had multiple shots of this because I was playing with my new WIDE ANGLE LENS! :)!

It was a great evening of family fun, food, and visiting. A day FULL of partying. :)

Landon Turned 4!!

Landon turned 4 on 1.8.12, but we celebrated a day early on the 7th. He had a Spider Man party this year. We invited some family and friends and had a great afternoon. The weather was nice, so at the last minute I decided to rent a bounce house so that the kids could be entertained OUTSIDE! :)

YaYa made the Spider Man cake, and it turned out awesome (of course) Though she said it wasnt the one she had planned out. There was a humdity issue/mishap with the first one she started.
Birthday Banner made by me.
Party Favors/Thank Yous, I also had booklets of Spider Man coloring pages and Spider Man Crayons for them to take home.
I love these little kisses with his party theme labels on the bottom, even if they are time consuming to make. :)
We had to have cupcakes with toppers too. All the cake was chocolate per the birthday boys request! Thats MY boy!

Mama and the Birthday Boy
singing Happy Birthday to Lanond, he always gets embarassed/shy. :)

Heydoo had to help him reach the cake. Crazy Mama didn't move it forward on the table.

PRESENTS!! He got lots of awesome gifts again this year.
Instead of another toy, Heydoo got him a bucket FULL of his favorite goodies and treats.
There were 4 Dublin Dr. Pepper's in there, but I took the last two and hid them away. Evidently they are going to be a rarity now! Maybe I will be rich one day off them, even if they are singles taken from a 6 pack.
One can be a wishful thinker right!?
He tried to eat as much of that candy as he could on the first day.

{most} of the kids at the party.

Happy 2012!

We celebrated New Year's Eve 2012 at our friends Kristen and James's house. He fried a turkey and we all got good and fat :) then we did some fire works. The big boys did the arial ones and then the kids did the long awaited sparklers.
They actually put on a pretty nice show :)
Landon decided it was a little loud so he went and sat in the car with Kylee and Bryanna. Kylee was in the car because she was "afraid someone was going to catch on fire or die" The things that girl comes up with sometimes! :) The sparklers she was so excited about were more dangerous to her than the ones her Daddy was doing.
Kylee enjoying the show once I convinced her no one was going to catch on fire.....or die :)

The Kids! (minus Johnnie Linn)
SPARKLERS!!

Me and my boy celebrating another year together.
HAPPY 2012!
