Wedding Theme : Apple Green + Pink Ideas

Monday, August 31, 2009

My friend asked me to show them the colors. Here it is...

This is green + pink color theme. It is so lovely, don't you think so too?
Green apple + pink again! :=)
The gerbera daisies. I think of provide all my sisters with one stalk of hot pink color gerbera daisy. Sister, is it OK? But i am thinking to hold this flower during morning session or dinner session. Morning, would be little bit troublesome for me, i guess because so many things to get it done and maybe evening dress with a gerbera daisy on your hand will look more elegant and cheerful instead of wristlet? What you gals think?

This pink gerbera daisy corsage for him? Wondering if Renaissance hotel can provide me pink color flower? Hmmm....
Another sample of green apple and pink color combination. It is sweet and not awkward at all to me. Gerbera daisies and green apple basket decor for reception table. At first, i thought of doing this. But by looking at my budget, i forgo this lovely decor and replace with candles and rose petals will do i guess.

Wedding Decoration Stuff (2)

Saturday, August 29, 2009

I was glad that dear accompanied me to choose curtain cloth for our little cosy room yesterday. In fact, he has no idea or comment on what design or type of curtain cloth. A two panel window tailored made curtain (2-ply) costs us RM190. It is not cheap!!!

We then went to KK Home Déco at MITC, Ayer Keroh. I noticed this shop few weeks ago but I just have no time to pay a visit here although they are having sales right now.
Once I stepped into the shop, I was really like fall in love here. I LOVE all the decors here. It is so so lovely and english style.
Here are what I bought :
4 little duckies and 4 pieces of grasses. The duckies are so cute isn’t it?? Each little ducky and grass cost me RM1.90 only. A cotton flowery bag to collect our ang pows. RM31.92 after disc of 20%. Initially I have asked Ambridge Cottage to make an ang pow bag for me, but they quote me for about RM70 if I am not mistaken. After I see this flowery bag, I bought this as the price is cheaper. Wedding is all about budget, OK! Further, this flowery bag is not bad too, I can still use as my shopping bag after my wedding. :=)Finally, I found two good looking square shaped clear vases. I have searched all shops in Bunga Raya, either the quality not good or they do not have the square shaped clear vase. This clear vase is only RM19.90 before 20% disc. It is really cheap!!!

I also bought 5 packs of willow branches. Each pack only RM2.90. Cheap right? Both clear vases and willow branches are for photo display purposes at my wedding dinner.

Actually we saw a very cute birdcage in white color. That’s exactly what I am looking for. But the small birdcage cost RM79.90 before 20%. I was really love that, but after much consideration, dear able to hold me back, we are not suppose to waste money on this as we already bought a birdcage!! We just need to buy a white color spray to turn into white color birdcage as well. :=P I was glad that I did not spent on this unnecessary item. :=P

Actual Day Photographer

Friday, August 28, 2009

I have obtained few quotations for actual day photographer. All are ranged between RM800 to RM1,500. Finally, I decided to engage him as our actual day wedding photographer, http://www.angelthumb.com/.
Here is the package offered to me:

· 2 session (morning tea ceremony and dinner reception) photography including photography of bridal preparation, make up
· Large resolution, edited softcopy returned in DVD
· 2 photographers
· Photo slideshow from morning tea ceremony for evening presentation
· Included outstation surcharge

The above package is cost less than RM1k (sorry, I could not disclose the actual price because the price is low as it is included outstation surcharge, :=P)

Actual Day Make Up Artist

Thursday, August 27, 2009

I just paid deposit of RM250 for actual day make up. Pheww… another matter done. For both session (morning and dinner) is RM500, including two ampoules and two eyelashes.

My make up artist for actual day is Eric Chong from Ambridge Cottage.

Wedding Decoration Stuff

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Here are some items i bought from Ikea for our wedding dinner reception decoration last round.

40cm and 30cm clear vases at RM49 and RM39 each respectively. I would want to fill up these clear vases with green apples and place these vases at the reception table.

In the pic : block candle set of 5 at RM29, candle holder at RM9.90 or RM19.90 (if i am not wrong) and scented candles (apple green) at RM19.90. All these are for our wedding dinner decoration purposes. I am not going to DIY myself as i am pretty sure i have no time for all these. What i have is my rough idea and i need someone to transform my idea into reality.

Wedding Gift from Sister

My sister bought us a very cute and lovely 5R wedding photo frame from Disney. ^.^

Thank you sis!

Wedding Checklist

Tuesday, August 25, 2009

Renaissance Hotel gave us a wedding checklist when we paid deposit in Dec 2008 and the checklist is quite handy and useful especially at this moment. I just realised that i left 3 months time to do everything before our wedding!! OMG...Time really flies.

  • obtain floor plan - done

I have more things to get it done other than the above.

Wedding Invitation Card

Monday, August 24, 2009

Renaissance Hotel has forward me the samples of the wedding cards about one month ago, but i was busy with my work and no time to really look into it. Here few samples of the wedding invitation cards.

These are only shortlisted wedding invitation card. I like simple one. So, sample one totally out. Sample 2 and 4 are actually same design, but different colors, one is gold and another one is bronze. Another selected sample is sample no 3. How you guys think? Which design is nicer? I need to reply them by next week. >.<

And this is the form we need to fill up, all the details for the card.

Photo Shooting!

Friday, August 21, 2009

Oh yea. I could not sleep well the day before because I was keep thinking what gonna be during my photo shooting. I afraid that we would wake up late in the morning, I afraid I might be tired, I afraid I could not pose naturally, I afraid I could not smile naturally, I afraid I could not meet up the photographer’s expectation, I afraid I would look fat in the gowns I chose, I afraid of raining, I afraid of the make up, I afraid of everything!!!

The next morning, after ding dong ding dong and we were late and unable to catch up our breakfast before depart to KL. So, we just had our McD breakfast in the car (I always love drive-thru concept :=)). I was driving to KL and dear would be driving in KL and back to Melaka. I remember I reached Ayer Keroh toll at 9am and we have to reach Sunway by 10am. By time we reached Sunway, it was 10.15am. Still not too late.

Once we reached there, Shirley greeted me. I called to confirm everything and they told me Shirley would be my MUA. So, Shirley immediately starts to transform me to a pretty bride! LOL. I was quite bored during the make up session actually. After about one and half hour, my make up was done and she helped me to get on my wedding gown before she proceeded to style my hair. Honestly, the make up and the hair-do was just so-so only. Not my liking especially the hair-do. I did tell her that I do not like this hair-do but she told me this is the simplest hair-do for every bride. I know, but…. I just do not like it. I am just lazy to ask her to change my hair style again because I worried this might be taking long time then.

After everything set, our photographer approached us. In fact, he was there and said hello to us while I was in the make up. But I was just unsure if he is our photographer because he is young! While introducing each other, we did a very embarassing starts. Dear thought that he is Sam Chui, but in fact, he is not, he is Sam Leong. Dear asked him if he is Sam Chui, he replied saying, “No, I am Sam Leong”. I was like, huh… okay never mind. I quickly turned and said it is ok, either one is fine with us. :=P But until today, I am still wondering why they assigned Sam Leong to us and not Sam Chui as which we have requested before. But I really don’t mind because both are equally good and I can accept Sam Leong’s style. That’s OK!!! So, before we start photo session, we have brief communication with Sam. He was asking us if what kind or style are we looking for and if we can accept his style (he did show us his photos). After a while, we start our indoor shooting. Surprisingly, both me and dear were quite natural in the pose and smiles as we able to pose naturally without his guidance. We just think of what pose we want and he just snap the photos. He showed us some photos that we really smiled so naturally and he told us this is the smile that he is looking for because it is so natural and it is US!! He just keep saying, more actions, more reactions, and try to relax ourselves. I think the indoor shooting just last less than one hour before we proceed with outdoor shooting.

My Petaling Street's outfit, but this photo taken in the studio.

Our first location was Petaling Street. I was excited actually but I have not much conversation with Sam la. Don’t know what to ask and I am just trust his professionalism. He lead us to every corner of Petaling Street. The weather was terribly hot and me and dear were really sweating so much. I really started to feel uneasy, not due to the public attention, but the sweat!!! At first, I really thought I would feel shy wearing gown walking in the public and take photos. But surprisingly, I really did not care of their attention. What I wanted was good photos. I was happy and satisfied everytime Sam showed me the good photos he took.

After Petaling Street, we continue our shooting at Heritage Hotel. Once reached there, Shirley, without wasting a second, she immediately brought me to the washroom and gets me changed. Dear also changed himself. This round, Sam guided us how to pose because this round is more to cool and artistic style??

Dear secretly took this photo while Sam taking my photo. LOL. I looked slim at this angle again huh..?? hahaha

This was my last pose before we went back to Sunway. :=P

Sam told us that we able to shoot more than 200 poses which was really surprised me. I hope it was really more than 200 shoots so we have more choices then. :=P

Overall, both of us are happy with Sam's professionalism and we shall wait for the photos now. I really can't wait. Sam told us two weeks, but i hope to meet him again during my next visit.

Oh ya, we were so hungry because we did not take our lunch!! Sam asked if we would wanna to take lunch at Petaling Street (both him and MUA had taken thier lunch), but i rejected because i was not hungry at the time he asked me, but i just feel damn thirsty. LOL. So, he brought us to the famous air mata kuching stall. :=P He even able to take our photos while we were drinking and showed us, see...?? LOL.

So, to reward ourselves today, we stopped by Seremban to have grilled crab!!! Yay!!

It was tiring, but it was fun! I really missing that day. I wish i have more budget to have another photo shooting session. LOL.

Wedding Shoe : ADIDAS

Tuesday, August 18, 2009

My newly bought ADIDAS shoe from 1-U. Again, i have search for a pair of sport shoe in 1-U for the whole night until i nearly gave up, before i found this!!

My new ADIDAS sport shoe for pre-wedding photoshooting purpose! This is to match my short white with black lacey fluffy gown. Again, this is not cheap too because it is new arrival, cost me RM299.90. >.<

And this is dear's ADIDAS. He bought during ADIDAS warehouse sales sometimes ago but it is new as he never wear before.

Wedding Shoe

Monday, August 17, 2009

I have been searching for a suitable and nice wedding shoe for a very long time, until i found this.
Ta-daa~~~~

I was like love in the first sight of this shoe when i stumbled at Wedding Isle. I wrote to them asking about this lovely shoe. I think it was about one or two months back when i wrote to ask about this shoe. At first, i was really thinking to have them post the shoe to me, but my friend advise me to try on the shoe first before buy, as the price is not cheap too.

With the direction and rough map from friend and colleague, immediate after training at KL office, i drove from Damansara Uptown to Desa Sri Hartamas. I was so happy when me and my friend found the shop, and again, i fall in love again with this lovely shoe. I tried on and yes, i want this, i told the sales assistant.

It is pretty pricey actually, cost me RM228. But as long as it is really comfy and i love it, i think it is worth. Further, i have tried to look the whole Mahkota Parade, Dataran Pahlawan and even Times Square, just none of them catch my eye.

I was like so relieved and happy then.

Measurement and Gown Fitting (again...)

Friday, August 14, 2009

As I said in my previous post, I need to make another trip to KG for body measurement. It was one week before the photo shooting session. This time, I requested to have a look again at the gowns room. I want to see if there are any pretty gowns that I like. I asked if I can try again. Of course I can, but I need to pay RM100/pc if I wish to change my previous gown. Dear said OK, as long as I’m look good with the gown. Thank you dear! So I tried on few.
And here are few gowns that I tried on my second trip to KG.
I love this. Don’t you think this is cute and casual? Further, it is so relax and easy to wear and I believe this gown will really ease my pain for outdoor shooting! I take this! :=D
I like this gown too just because of the striking pink color and it is sexy. LOL. And I looked so slim from this angle. Hahaha.

At the end, we paid extra RM200 just to change another two gowns to above two. :=P Honestly, i did not regret at all and satisfied with today's gowns.

This is thier gown fitting room.

After that, we discussed about our photo shooting location. We told them we wants to go Petaling Street, KTM and Heritage Hotel. The management told us that we need to apply for both KTM and Heritage Hotel in order to have photo shooting there. KG able to apply for us for the Heritage Hotel but for KTM, they wanted us to apply ourselves, maybe because KTM needs RM100 as application fee? I don't know. We tried our best to have them apply for us because we were running out of time and we are not based in KL. But they refused saying that they don't do that. :=( Fine, we immediately went to KTM and we really spent more than 2 hours driving to locate KTM. But we were so unlucky, the office was closed on weekends!! arrghh....KG told us that it was open only we made a trip here! >_< I do not want to quote who told me that as i do not wish to tarnish thier reputation here just because of this particular rotten apple! I was really dissappointed. Dear felt that. Fine, i tried to cheer up and i told myself, Heritage Hotel and Petaling Street are both good enough as we may be have not sufficient time to have shooting at three places anyway. :=)

Before went back to Melaka, we went to Times Square. Initially i wanted to go Wedding Isle to look for my wedding shoe. However, due to limited of time, we just went to Times Square. As expected, i could not find my desired shoe. So we went back Melaka empty handed. LOL.

His Wedding Shoe

Friday, August 7, 2009

Here it is, dear's wedding shoe from Sembonia.

Less than RM200 after 50% disc. Cheap eh! Dear complaining that why he able to buy his shoe so easily and i could not find my shoe after 3 shopping malls!! LOL

Wedding Gifts from SIL

Saturday, August 1, 2009

Some of my wedding gifts from my SIL, Hui Ling. All from Aussino! :=)

Two pieces wedding range bath towel set, of which i was trying to look for but could not get when i was in 1-U last time. So coincidently, she bought the same design as my quilt cover set! You read my mind yea? hehehe

Two-pieces mug set with lid, again, exactly same wedding design. :=D

This is tissue box cover from Aussino too.

And the last one, two-pieces pillow case from the same wedding range too!

All these match perfectly with my quilt cover set and i love it. Thank you so much SIL!!! :=)
