En Qi is 3 Months Old!

Saturday, December 11, 2010

Wow!!! En Qi is 3 months old today! I still remember how stressful both me and dear taking care En Qi in her second months as she had colic. Poor little girl had to take total 8-12 drops of Cuplaton everyday. Now reduced to 4 drops a day. I nearly gave up her and wanted to send her to babysitter. >.<’’’ Luckily I did not, otherwise I would regret for what I did!!! I feel so blessed seeing my little girl sleeping soundly beside me every night. I feel so happy and warm seeing she smiles with me every morning before I off to work.

En Qi @ 3 days old

En Qi @ 3 months old

En Qi now:

~ Weighs 5.8kg

~ Smiles a lot especially in the morning and after her milk

~ Recognizes familiar sounds and turn to see them!

~ Pushes the milk bottle away by using her tongue if she does not want her milk

~ Carries both her hands and legs up high, asking for carry

~ Becomes more and more talkative

~ Attracted to colorful stuff and blinking lights

~ Starts to play with her own fingers by looking at them, putting them together and put them to her mouth!

~ Does not like to sleep facing down still

~ Has her milk every 4-5 hours instead of 2-3 hours previously

My dear, mummy enjoys every second with you.

One Year Anniversary

Thursday, December 9, 2010

December 6, marked our one year wedding anniversary. Time flies. Really. This year we have our little girl, En Qi together with us. Nothing special. We just had our normal family outing day. We decided to go Mahkota Parade (yi-poh wanted to see En Qi) but changed to Jusco as there was no parking available and stuck in the terrible jam. En Qi slept more than one hour in the car before we reached Jusco.
Let me take a nap before reach Jusco!
We settled down our lunch at Sushi King.
En Qi just woke up and felt insecure if she did not see her daddy and mummy around
En Qi was well behaved while we were having our lunch. We tried to feed her after our lunch at baby room but she refused to drink. She refused to sit in her stroller too. Asking to carry in our arm. She kept looking and wondering people and things around her. Soon, she started fussy and cranky. We tried to feed her few times but she just did not want and fussy until we settled her down in a corner of baby department and fed her. After her milk, she smiled with us and yay, we can continue to walk a little more. :=D Anyway, we just managed to stay on for about an hour before En Qi asked for sleep. Daddy failed to carry her comfortably at his arm to sleep and mummy has to take over. She slept comfortably in my arm. As usual, mummy always does not have time to shop for her own stuff, same goes to Daddy if En Qi tagged along with us. What mummy is always looking for is En Qi's stuff. This round, mummu got En Qi few bibs! :=p
Yippie...another photo of 3 of us!
Mummy, I want to sleep. Let's go back...
En Qi immediately doze off once back home. She slept straight 5 hours until I carried and fed her, otherwise, she would sleep even longer!

Working Mummy

Tuesday, December 7, 2010

It has been about 3 weeks I resume to work, leaving En Qi to her grandmum. It is very tiring as I have to travel for 45 minutes to reach office. It is a long journey though. It is around 11pm something everyday after I taken my dinner, bath, pumping and get En Qi to sleep. I doze off very easily then. I have to wake up middle of the night to pump again and continue to sleep for 2-3 hours before get myself ready to work again. I normally go to bed earlier as I need to wake up middle of the night to pump and warm the milk for En Qi. It is very tiring but I slowly get use to this routine now.

I always reluctantly leave the house every morning. She will always smile happily with me once she opens her eyes in the morning. Her smiling really melts my heart. I always lying beside her (yes, she is co-sleeping with us since 2 weeks old) watching her wake up, greet her good morning and smiles with me before I go for my pumping. She is always in happy mood in the morning. Chit chatting and smiles with us non-stop. After about one hour, she will ask for a sleep. We will put her to sleep in her spring cot before we off to work. Mum in law will take over En Qi then.

While at work, I need to pump at least 2 times a day. Everyone was staring at me awkwardly on my first day back to work. It is seems unusual for mummy to pump at work in Malaysia. I ignored them and always locked myself in the room and continue pumping. I am doing this for the sake of my little girl and I do not care how the public looks at me.

Some advise me to send my girl to babysitter as they see me tiring for travelling everyday and have to take care my little girl at night. In fact, I really thought of send my little girl to babysitter as well. But I changed my thoughts now. It is truly rewarding and satisfying seeing my little girl growing up healthily (yes, her colic disappear now! Yay!!! :=D) and happily each day. What I can say is, it is all worthwhile. It is all for you, my dear little En Qi. :=)

En Qi is 2 Months Old!

Saturday, November 20, 2010

I always wanted to blog on time but my little girl always keeps me busy!

En Qi suffered the most in her second month. She has terrible colic right after her fullmoon. She cried every night. My heart aches a lot whenever she cries. I was so upset and down. Anyway, En Qi is getting better each day now.

En Qi on her way to have her 6-in-1 vaccine!

At 2 months, En Qi:

  • Weighs 5kg and 61.5cm tall

  • Starts to murmuring and cooing especially when she is in good mood and tummy is filled up!

  • Discovers her fingers and trying to put them to her mouth although they are covered with mittens everyday

  • Loves milk but hates bo ying compound and colic drops

  • Loves punching her own face after waking up

  • Stretches her body A LOT

  • Loves to be carried at sitting position

  • Bad temper as she refuses to drink the milk if the milk is late and keep crying and struggling

  • Loves to drink milk on the bed and spring cot

  • Loves her pacifier over milk now. Sometimes she refuses to take her milk. What she wants are only pacifier and sleep!
