Pictures coming of our trip to Charleston, SC last week.

It was a trip of a lifetime seeing how the South Really Lives !  Celebrating the year 1952 when we were born with a great trip that we will never forget.

Staying on a Yacht in the Charleston Marina and touring somewhere every day of the week - the Beach - Historic Charleston, SC - Savannah, Ga. - Harbor tour filled with lots of history - Plantation and gardens.

The food was fabulous and the sites were amazing..........we enjoyed the beautiful floral gardens abounding in the area.

Pictures below - I've worked 3 hours on the pictures today adding pictures......Blogger has changed the browser to Google Chrome so I had to download it since Explorer wouldn't download the pictures after I added them to "attach".........started over after Google Chrome and got them downloaded.  BUT.....some of the pictures are coming out to the side when they don't show sideways on the CD.  I've worked and worked to turn them around the correct way.......nothing has worked.  I guess we'll just have to turn our heads to the side to view these pictures!!!

It's only 23 days until our big "60" Birthday Trip for the 49er's.  We are all getting excited and getting our bags packed as it's close to time to DEPART from Texas and Arkansas for South Carolina.

We will be staying in Charleston, SC on a "YACHT" called the Southern Comfort there at the Marina in Charleston.  Yes, it will be docked, but, still our home for 5 days on the beautiful waters of the East Coast.  Now, this isn't a small little yacht - this is a 2200 sq. ft. of living space Yacht with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.  It's regularly rented for trips to Hilton Head for golfing expeditions and Corporate outings on the sea.  So, we are thrilled to get to be "guests" on the lovely Southern Comfort.

This is the first Post in 2012 on our blog.....my goodness where does the time go? Its already March 2012!

January 2012 - most of us were able to gather for Becky's 60th Birthday .... We went to Jeanne's house and had a meal together and visited about how it feels to be 60 ! I don't think we took a picture on Becky's 60th birthday!!!

2012 is a special year for all of the 49ers as we are all turning "60" this year. For several years now we started talking about a big trip to celebrate our 60th birthdays. We tossed around an over seas trip. A trip to the US West Coast and a lighthouse tour. A trip to NYC which would be fun to visit but so very expensive. We finally nailed it down to a a East Coast trip to Charleston, SC in May 2012.

God has blessed us with the planning of this trip. In looking for bed & breakfasts we found a beautiful beach house on a lovely beach right outside Charleston. Then we found an interesting place to stay that none of us have done before. We are renting a 2200 sq. ft. YACHT called the Southern Comfort there at the Marina in Charleston. It has 5 bed rooms and 4 bathrooms aboard the yacht. We will post pictures of the trip for our memory of the lovely trip to celebrate our year of 2012 ! Less than 60 days and counting now. We can hardly wait.

The 49er's have had such a time getting together lately with all our family activities this summer ~ therefore, we are celebrating Libby and Marsha's August Birthday's this weekend.

Stay tuned for all the fun activities that we have planned.  Jeanne and Becky don't know the plans yet.....Connie can't come to join us this weekend - so, we'll FACETIME her............ohhh.....we can't do that because she's got to purchase the iphone 4 first!!!
