Random Pages July 2009

Brecken LOVED dancing 2 years ago and still does!
The boys LOVED dressing up - and they still do!
I can't believe how tiny the twins were - but I love seeing their chubby cheeks!

Gavin's Thoughts on Babies

Tonight while I was trying to feed all the kids, Gavin looks at me and says,

"Sometimes babies are really frustrating!"

He could not be more right! They are super cute but very frustrating at times - but then again, who isn't! I didn't even know he knew the word frustrating.

Family Photos July 2009

I LOVE LOVE LOVE having family photos and am so lucky to have a cousin (in-law) that is a photography and takes our family pictures when she can (Amanda Stephan). She came up to Utah when the twins were 3 weeks old and took our pictures. I hate how I look but I LOVE having pictures with all our kids!
Brecken did NOT want to participate in taking pictures. It was a rough day for him!
I am so excited that Amanda is coming up to Utah (she lives in AZ) in a couple of weeks and is going to take our family pictures again. HAPPY HAPPY DAY!

"Hey, go way!"

It is so much fun to watch the twins interact more and more. Sometimes it is cute and nice and other times it is not so nice. Yesterday, Kesley was trying to push Cameron off the bins of clothes I was going through. So Cameron said,

Hey, go way!

Kesley replied and said,

Kessie NO go away!

It was cute - they weren't too mean to each other. It was fun to see Cameron be a little aggressive and talking.

Dallin's 8th Birthday (so long ago)

Here are so more pages I should have done 2 years ago but just did. Dallin didn't have a big party with his friends for his 8th birthday - the twins were only 8 days old. But I did manage to make him a couple of Lego cakes (he LOVED Legos). Hopefully it was still a good birthday for him!

Twins Birth (just over two years late)

Yes these pages are a little (okay a LOT) late - but better late than never. While I am not allowed to do much, I am trying like mad to get caught up (or at least more caught up) with my scrapbooking. I have 2011 pretty much up to date (minus the last couple weeks). I never finished 2009 or 2010. Luckily, before I had the twins I got pretty up to date (since I was on the couch all the time back then too) so I am picking up at their birth. So when you see scrapbook pages from 2 years ago, that is why. Aren't my babies cute! I can't believe how little they were!

Is that Me?

Every time I see these pictures, I can't believe it is me. But it is!

Why am I posting this now? Well, I am finally scrapbooking when the twins were born (I am that behind) and haven't scrapbooked anything new (from the last 2 weeks). Also, I figured these pictures would make everyone feel better about how they look! And I am still amazed I was able to move at all (I didn't move quickly at all, but I was able to move).

Summer Basketball Camp

Nothing exciting today but here are the boys at their basketball camp this summer. They had a great time!

Random Summer Pictures

I have lots of random pictures from throughout the summer - ones I couldn't make a page for (or just was too tired to). So I combined them to make 2 pages filled with some of our random summer craziness or should I call it laziness. Either way, here they are!

Kiss it Better

Kesley hurt her elbow today (not badly just a little ouiee) and came to me and said,
"Mommy, Kessie hurt elbow."

I jokingly said,
What do you want me to do about it?

She said,
"Kiss it better!"

Of course I kissed it better. How cute is she!

Twins Outside

I am trying to get caught up scrapbooking (not possible but I am making a dent) while I am not allowed to do anything (which is NOT nearly as fun as it sounds) - so you might see pages of not so recent events. Here are the pages I made of the twins playing outside the end of May (I took these pictures for their birthday invitation).
They are just so cute and so much fun!

Purple Cast and Bubble Wrap

Here is Dallin getting his wrist checked out by the doctor after hurting it at football practice last week.
Here is Dallin getting his wrist x-rayed at the hospital - we found out he was broken (a buckle or buldge fracture so not bad).
Here is Dallin getting his PURPLE cast on (his football team color). He has to wear it 3-4 weeks but CAN play football! We just have to wrap his cast with bubble wrap and duct tape!
Dallin went to football practice the day he got his cast on - bubble wrap and purple duct tape and all. Now he just has to realize he isn't going to hurt his arm any more. Hopefully he will be good to play on Saturday. We got a doctor's note saying he can play and the coaches say he is good - hopefully we put enough bubble wrap on it to make the refs happy - we can always put on more!

Matthew & Collared Shirts

Matthew cracks me up. One day I got a "collared" shirt (aka polo) out for him to wear to school. He asked me if he could pick out a different shirt. I asked why. He said,
"none of the other kids that ride rip-sticks wear collared shirts and they will notice and make fun of me."
How do you argue with that! I tried to argue with him but he just didn't believe me when I told him no one would notice. So, I have bought him a lot of NOT "collared" shirts so other rip-stickers won't make fun of him!

Rock Boy Cameron

Oh is Cameron cute! It is so much fun to watch him - he and Kesley are SO DIFFERENT. Kesley is in your face, right by you and Cameron is off doing his own thing. His FAVORITE thing to do is collect rocks in the backyard and carry them around. He ALWAYS has rocks in his hand - and is very upset if he doesn't. We even let him go to bed with them in his hands and then when we get him up they are still in his hands. Of course, collecting rocks means he gets pretty dirty (as you can see in the pictures above). Hopefully by next summer we can get a sandbox in the backyard for him - he would be in heaven! For now, he will have to be happy collecting rock!
