All American Blue & Gold Banquet

Back in February, we had our annual Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet.  I just can't do Blue and Gold every year for decorating, etc.  So this year we had an All American Theme.  It was super easy to decorate for and a lot of fun!  We had balloons tied to bags in the middle of each table along with a box of popcorn with an American flag in it for each person at each table.  There were also stars coming out of the bags on the tables.  Dessert was simple - cupcakes placed to look like an American flag and root beer floats.  And for dinner, we had a hot dog bar (and everyone brought a side dish to share).  Can't get much more American than that!

Late Night with Friends

We LOVE having friends over, especially the Allen's.  There 4 kids are pretty much the same age as our first 4 kids so the kids LOVE playing with the Allen kids.  We had them over (back in February) for a late night filled with pizza, donuts (that they so kindly brought), decorating and eating Valentine sugar cookies, playing, running, a movie, popcorn and LOTS of fun!  We need to have them over again - SOON!

Science Fair 2012

Dallin LOVES science and experiments and doing ANYTHING with his dad!  So when it is time for the science fair at school, Dallin LOVES doing his homework.  His project was on Electomagnets.  He didn't win but he did a great job and had fun!  I just wish my sister (science teacher) lived closer so she could give him super cool ideas (but Ed does a great job)!

Tickle Time

I am busy getting ready for the Pinewood Derby tonight but I thought I would post a page from January.  Ed is the BEST dad - I just LOVE seeing him with our kids!

14 Years and Counting

Today is our 14 year anniversary!  I can't believe it has already been 14 years!  Best decision of my life!

Junior Jazz Basketball 2012

The 3 big boys had a GREAT time playing Junior Jazz basketball.  It is really fun to see how much better they get each year (and to see how much more like real basketball it looks as they get older).  Dallin didn't want to play this year but was glad every time he practiced or had a game that he did.  I LOVE watching my boys!

So Different!

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE watching my twins (and all my kiddos) growing up (even though I would LOVE to freeze them at this age).  It is so much fun to see how DIFFERENT Cameron and Kesley are.  Cameron is so low key - he just does his own thing.  Then there is Kesley.  She has to be in the middle of EVERYTHING!  I just LOVE these guys!

Indoor Camp-out

Can you tell I am playing catch-up? These pages are from back in January. The big 3 made a HUGE fort down in the basement and decided one weekend to sleep down there, in a huge dog pile (I prefer my bed). So the next day, the little 3 thought they needed to have a camp-out as well. It was so cute!

Aquarium - Once in a Lifetime Experience!

Back in January, when we were invited to a party closed to the public at the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy, we were so excited and felt so lucky. Then once we got there, it turned out to be a once in a lifetime experience. First, we had dinner (catered by Costa Vida). Then we got to go see the new River Otter exhibit (that wasn't even open to the public yet). While we were checking that out, our friends that invited us asked if our boys (we just took the 4 big boys) would like to FEED THE SEA TURTLE! Are you kidding? Of course they did - I did! We were then taken back BEHIND the EXHIBITS, got to climb up and look down into the SHARK TANK where the sea turtle lives. We got to feed her lettuce and watch her (and the sharks) swim. It was AMAZING! Then, as if that wasn't enough, we got to go BEHIND the RIVER OTTER exhibit and see the 3 new river otters up close and personal (they were in their cages right in front of us). The boys LOVED it! Then we got to go out and go through the Aquarium with only about 50 other people - which meant the boys had the STING RAYS pretty much to themselves! It was great because this was the first time that Gavin cared about the sting rays - he usually is only interested in the sharks but this time we couldn't get him away from the sting rays. Even Brecken petted the sting rays. It was an AMAZING night!

Favorite Things #6 - 2011 Albums

Okay - so I have some others things I was going to post (after a week of being out of town - more on that later) but when my two 2011 albums (yes I said two) came in the mail today, I had to post a picture of them. I LOVE having my scrapbook pages printed in albums to look through and help me remember my little ones! It just makes me HAPPY! My scrapbook albums are definitely one of my FAVORITE THINGS! And no, I am not totally caught up (like I wish I was). I need to finish 2010 (I have a lot done but definitely not all - one of these days). But for now, I am so so HAPPY to have these albums!

Favorite Things #5 - Wall of Pictures

I must say that this wall of pictures of my family is one of my FAVORITE THINGS! I haven't done much to my house lately but a couple of weeks ago I put these pictures, etc. up on the wall going from the main level to the upstairs. I keep meaning to scrapbook it (yes, I scrapbook everything, eventually) but just haven't been able to get to it. Every time I see it (which is ALL the time) I just can't help but smile. There are pictures from when Ed and I were first engaged up to our current family pictures. I LOVE seeing pictures of my kiddos!

Pretty Nails for Kesley

Today, when I was leaving to get my nails done (I know, a totally girly thing to do but I love having my nails done so when I am a total mess, at least my nails look nice), Kesley was really upset I was leaving her so I took her with me. She was so cute! She picked out PINK nail polish (of course). She did a pretty good job of sitting still - but was still so so cute! She had a GREAT time and I LOVED having her there with me!
