Dads 37th Birthday...October 30, 2008

Trip to the Dentist...

I took the kids to the dentist this past week. Mike's brother John filled cavities in Will and Sadie and pulled a tooth for Rachel (he said her baby tooth was lodged.) The kids were so brave (I guess a little gas helped.) John is such a great dentist...his office staff is so nice and they are always on time. If anyone needs a great dentist you should try them out...Oral Health Clinic.Sadie was awesome she just got right in the chair and didn't complain.
I think Will liked the gas alot because he would NOT quit talking.
Rachel was a way good sport she let Jake and I watch John pull the tooth out. I kept bugging her on the way there saying "I am so glad I am not getting a tooth pulled out."
Look at the root on that tooth!!! OUCH!!!
Jake was happy he only had to wait with me and not have any work done.
Thanks Dr. Dean...Unfortunately for you we will be back!!!

UEA Break!!!

Thursday of UEA Break was our activity day! We started the day off at The Holladay Library for story time...Sadie loved having Will sit with her on the carpet!!! Kristine and I have been taking Sadie and Brooklyn to storytime for a few years now. The Lady that reads the stories really gets into it. The kids love it!!!Next we went to Gardener Village to see the witches!!! Talk about a crazy day... I think everyone had the same idea to go over UEA...it was super crowded. It has never been so crowded when we have been there before. They sure had some neat witches set up around the village.Oh how I LOVE chocolate!!! Actually who doesn't?After we went to Sugarhouse Park for lunch while we waited for our movie to start!!
(Journey to the Center of the Earth)That night we took Rachel and Jake to Body World with the Tanners. Jada Egan came with us because her family had already seen it. It was nice that Rachel and Sydney got extra credit in Science. We thought it was way cool and well worth it. At the end of The Body World Exhibit!
It was a fun day to spend with the kids. I love it when they are off school and we get to do things together. That's what makes parenting so much fun!!!

FALL Soccer!!!

Since it is UEA break and we have no soccer games today...I thought I would finally post some soccer pictures. This Fall soccer season has been quite interesting...the weather has been anywhere from sunshine (rarely) to rain and than a little snow. I was in Park City last weekend so these are some pictures Grandpa Roger took for me. I can't say I missed sitting out and watching the games in the 40 degree weather.
LOOK AT THAT SOCCER FACE!!! Will has played for about 3 years.
Way to go WILL...Shoot IT!!!
Rachel has played soccer for about 7 years...I think it is her sport. Rachel started reffing for Impact this year. She has really enjoyed it. I think it has helped with her self confidence and really getting to know the game. I wouldn't want to be out there making calls with some of those grumpy parents. I fortunately am a ref coordinator so I schedule where and when she refs...I only put her with the U9 or U8 because the parents don't seem to get quite as into it.

Nothing like a little Hot Chocolate during a 40 degree game.Will LOVES Soccer...he does really well. So CUTE!!! This is Sadie's first year playing.
The little girls are so fun to watch!!!
Sadie LOVES Soccer...she isn't afraid to get into it.
It is pretty fun because 7 of the 8 girls on the team are in our ward.
We are in for some great soccer seasons a head.

ART BY ZOE!!!

Be sure to double click the picture so you can get the real efect of how funny these are...One of Rachel's good friends Zoe was over at our house the other day messing around on our computer...I was quite impressed with what she came up with... I felt it was good enough to make the blog...this one is for you Zoe...we LOVE it when you come over to our house.
