MEXICAN RIVIERA CRUISE

We just got back from our cruise to the Mexican Riviera. We had great fun spending time with the Denning's and Wittwer's. Our kids were perfect ages for the cruise because they could get their food when they wanted and just hangout on the boat. Our itinerary was:

Day 1 - at sea
Day 2 - Cabo San Lucas
Day3 - Cabo San Lucas
Day 4- Puerto Vallarta
Day 5 - at sea
Day 6 - at sea
Day 7 - Back to Reality :(

The first glimpse in Long Beach of the CARNIVAL SPLENDOR....
our home for the next 7 days :)Getting ready to leave Los Angeles.Mike, Ryan Wittwer, Troy Denning
24 hour ice cream and pizza were a BIG hit with the kids...
and the adults :)Our first formal night was on Monday our first day at sea.
THE GROUP.Day 2 - Cabo San Lucas
We were so lucky with such great weather.
It was sunny (high 70s/low 80s) and blue skies. We found some locals to take us parasailing (12 of the 15 of our group did it). I chose to take pictures and watch since I had parasailed before in Jamaica. The kids loved it :)

Getting ready to parasail.
Jake and RachelSadie, Mike, WillUp in the air from their point of view :)After parasailing we ate lunch at a restaurant right on the beach. They had THE BEST homemade chips, salsa and guacamole. After lunch we hung out at the beach. It was so nice to sit with the sand on my toes and take pictures ;)Day 3 - Cabo San Lucas
We hired a water taxi and spent a few hours on Lover's Beach. It was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. We really wish we could have spent more time there. The dads and kids had great fun playing and getting slammed in the waves. Once again I had a great time relaxing, taking pictures and NOT getting slammed by the waves :)After Lover's Beach we spent some time shopping. Our kids were given some $ for Christmas so they had great fun spending some of their cash. It was really fun to see them barter and get good prices for things.Day 4 - Puerto VallartaThe dads and kids swam with the dolphins (I sat out so I could take some pictures). You could not believe what they charge for the pictures they take (they started from about $100 and up to buy their disk.) After their swim we went to a water park. It was once again great weather (blue skies). The nice thing about going on the cruise in January is there were hardly any local people at the water park. We practically had it to ourselves.Aquaventuras Water ParkAfter the water park we did some shopping and spent time at the beach. Our 2nd Formal Night was on Friday our second day at sea .We had such a great waiter and server.
Gede and Lou Lou

We had a table for the kids and than a table for the adults.
The people that sat around us would compliment us on how well behaved our kids were :) It was really fun for the kids to try new things. They were great sports they tried:
frog legs, alligator, shark, oysters, escargot, lobster...
each night we ended the meal with Chocolate melting cake...mmmmm.Almost every night the kids and waiters would dance :) We saw a few comedians perform. We loved the time we were able to spend at sea:

messing around on the deck...water slide...mini golf...splash zone...lots of cards...movies on the big screen...ping pong...hot tub and swimming.Our rooms...
mine and Mikes...and the kids.
We looked forward each night to the daily activity schedule and chocolate mints on our beds...and the fun towel animals the staff would leave us.Our group with Gede our waiter on our last night in the dining room.
We love you Denning's and Wittwer's. Thanks for the great memories!
Unfortunately all GOOD things must come to an end :(
