THANKSGIVING

I started my Thanksgiving day off with a 5k Turkey Trot run in Cottonwood Heights with 4 friends from my ward.  Every other year the Nelson family does this race but this was an off year so when some friends in my ward asked if I wanted to join them I thought what they heck :)  It was a fun time running with these great ladies.  I feel so blessed to not only have 2 awesome families that I love and know love me and my family but to have such FANTASTIC friends and live in the neighborhood that we do.  We are truly BLESSED :)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING :)

TWO IMPORTANT PIECES OF PAPER...

Rachel got her acceptance letter to UTAH STATE.  Woot, Woot :) She is SO excited to move up to Logan this next fall and get some more independence and see what life is like to live on her own.  It is SO awesome that my sister Mel and her family will be living there too :)

and...
Jake got his Drivers Permit!!! Congrats Jake!
Watch out cause there is now another Dean Driver in town :)

JAKE and WILL HAD BIRTHDAYS

We celebrated both of the boys birthdays these past few weeks.  Jake chose to go to Ruby Tuesdays for his birthday dinner and Will chose Famous Daves BBQ for his.  I just love these family dinners that we get to spend time with our kids.  They are so fun to hangout with and the time is so limited that we will all be living under one roof :( We had the grandparents over last Sunday and the boys picked a taco and burrito bar and chocolate cream pie for dessert.  These birthdays were a SUCCESS!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYS...
Nothing gives me more JOY than being a wife and a mother.  Thanks boys for helping make me a mom.  I think you are pretty GREAT :)

FALL SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS

It was another FUN packed FALL season of soccer and Football.  SADIE moved to the big goals and bigger field this fall and now has 10 girls on her team.  She still loves to play and we LOVE watching her.
JAKE'S team did awesome this season.  They were 12-0 (undefeated) in their season but they lost the division championship game to Bingham which was a big bummer :( The only thing that was sweet is that we won Bingham in the season and they haven't lost in over 4 years so that was quite an accomplishment for our boys.  Jake loved his coaches and team this year.  It is CRAZY to think that he will play in Highschool next year.  NO MORE LITTLE LEAGUE!!!

WILL had a great first year playing football.  Although they didn't win one game he still learned alot and says he has no regrets of quitting soccer and moving to football.  He said his only regret is not trying football sooner... so I guess this first season was a SUCCESS!

Olympus  High School also had an awesome season this fall.  It was so fun to go to alot of the games and watch Rachel's friends play.  They made it to the final four so they got to play at Rice Eccles.  Unfortunately they lost their game there but how awesome to have their final game as seniors played in that stadium....
GREAT JOB TITANS!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Halloween started off with the parade at Driggs Elementary.  It is kind of strange that we only have Sadie that still is in the parade since this is Will's first year in Jr. High.  After the parade I was lucky enough to help out in Sadie's class with their party.  It is always fun to be in there.  That night Mike and a few other dads took Sadie and her buddies trick or treating.  Will went trick or treating in another neighborhood so I didn't get any pictures of him and of course Rachel and Jake were too grown up to trick or treat.  Another HALLOWEEN was a success :)

All ready to TRICK or TREAT:
