One of my highlights over Christmas break was getting pedicures with Rachel and Sadie. It is so fun anytime we get to spend time with just us girls :) After our pedicures we went to lunch at Zuppas. Oh how I love having girls. I am so glad I get to be their mom and we can do girlie things together. I sure love you guys!!! xoxo
Kristine took Sadie and Brooklyn to Snowbird skiing over the Christmas break. It sure is nice that Sadie has the 5th grade passport and can go ski different places with her buddies. Skiing sure is fun when you're with friends! Thanks Kristine for taking them! :)
The Nelson girls (ages 18 and older) went to dinner and a movie the Monday after Christmas. It was fun to get away and spend a few hours together. We went to Texas Road House for dinner and then saw the Movie Annie. Thanks Ruthie for treating us!!! Ahhhh I just love my family!!! :)
A couple of days after Christmas Jake was skiing at Park City with his buddies and Mike was working up there as a ski host. I got a text from Mike that said Jake cut his leg and he sent me a picture (it is the first pick below). I was like CUT his LEG? Seriously??? Oh my word did he ever!!! Jake was doing the rails in the park and some how his ski slipped off and the metal on the rail cut Jake's knee. It didn't even rip his pants which was crazy! Ski patrol skied Jake off the hill in a toboggan and Mike met them in the first aide building at Park City. When they rolled Jake's pant up and looked at the wound they said "Yeah, we are going to have to send you somewhere else to get that looked at!" It was too serious of an injury for them to take care of. Mike and Jake headed down to IMC ER in Murray and waited there for about 6 hours while they took care of Jake. Luckily Jake didn't break anything or do something too serious to his knee. It was basically a flesh wound that needed 15 stitches. Boy oh Boy is he lucky!!! He is one TOUGH KID!!! Even though you scare me to death Jake I wouldn't trade your courage, craziness, fearlessness, free spirit personality for anything... Because that makes you who you are!!! We Love You!
Jake has some of the best friends! They came the next day and brought him treats!!!
Woot, Woot we woke up this morning and there was actually snow on the ground :) It was a pretty big deal since it hasn't snowed AT ALL this year and today is Dec 25th! We started our day off at 8:30 this morning when the kids opened their gifts from Santa, we headed to the Nelson's at 11:00 for gifts and breakfast and then to the Dean's at 2:00 for more gifts and more yummy food! We were all very spoiled and got lots of fun gifts this year! It has been a pretty Great day spending time with both families :)
We had our annual Christmas Eve bowling with the Nelson clan during the day on Christmas Eve. Everyone came but Troy, Jed and his family! It was fun as usual eating lots of food and bowling together. We had dinner that night at Roger and Judy's. It was just us and Spence and his family! Ahhh we LOVE spending time with our families. We are SO, SO blessed :)
All ready for Christmas morning...
Merry Christmas to All and to All a good night!!!
