~~5TH GRADE PASSPORT ANYONE~~

Yesterday was a day off school for students so teachers could submit grades.  Michele Chisholm and I decided it would be a great day to take some kids from the neighborhood that had the 5th grade passport skiing!  We packed my mini van with 6 kids, Michele and I and all 8 of our ski gear!  We brown bagged it and skied for the day at Park City!  The weather was absolutely beautiful.  It was actually probably a little too hot. :) Which is crazy!!!  We met Erin one of Sadie's dance buddies and her mom Kay up there too! It was a great day of skiing and being with friends!!!  Great way to end winter and bring on spring...

~~DANCE COMPETITIONS~~

Sadie has had two more dance competitions..."Will dance for kids project" and "Dance America".  It sure is a long day sometimes getting there at 8:30 and staying sometimes until 7:00 but it is so fun supporting Sadie and watching her dance!  She absolutely loves it and her little company group has done awesome in the 3 competitions they have had so far!  Great job Sadie!!!

~~I LOVE TO SEE THE TEMPLE~~

Rachel took her temple endowments out last Friday night!  It was such a great night!!!  I love it when I get to go to the temple with Mike and my family but OH MY WORD having Rachel in there and waiting for her to come through the veil was just the most AWESOME experience ever! One I will NEVER forget!!! We did the 6:00 session and it was packed!  When it came time to go through the veil they had the escorts go first (there were 6 kids taking out their own endowments including Rachel), so I went and just waited in the celestial room for Mike, my parents, my in-laws and still no Rachel... It was so weird because I thought she would have been right behind me.  Turns out they had the kids taking out their own endowments go last so the celestial room was full of people in white by the time they came through!  As I waited for her I seriously got a glimpse of what it must be like in heaven.  I looked around at all the people and the reverence and peace in that room and it was absolutely amazing!  It definitely made me want to live a life that I can always be temple worthy and continue to teach and nurture my relationships with Mike, My kids and our Families!  I am so beyond grateful for the gospel in my life and I am thankful for the testimony and faith and love I have for this gospel!  Families CAN be together FOREVER and I LOVE THAT!!! We are truly blessed!!!

~~MORP~~

Jake went to the MORP dance at Olympus High School a few weeks ago.  He went with Lizzie Earl. This dance was a boys choice and Sophomores asked Sophomores.  It was a disco night theme so they dressed up in their sparkly clothes!  They went to Isaac and Josh Watts' for pictures, dinner at Hires, dance, bowling at Fat Cats and ended with waffles at Ben Bywaters!  He said it was a lot of fun and Lizzie was a fun girl to go with!  Just getting their GROOVE on!!!

~~RUGBY HAS BEGUN~~

I went a few weeks ago and watched Jake play rugby!  I have never been to a rugby game so it was quite interesting to watch.  It moves pretty fast and anyone can score which is nice.  Jake plays a position that when the ball goes out of bounds each team lifts a player to try and block the ball and get it for their own team.  Jake is the player that gets lifted so that is interesting.  He really likes playing rugby, he said maybe even more than football :)  At the end of the game they go and stand every other player with the opposite team and bow to the crowd so that was also something different that I liked.

Almost a few weeks ago when Rachel was home from school for spring break we all  went to go and watch Jake play in another rugby game.  We got our chairs all set up and within the first 10 minutes of the game he got kicked in his ski injured knee and because he had a little scab where his ski wound didn't completely heal it split his knee back open again.  This time he had to get 10 stitches and is out for 3 weeks.  Such a bummer but I guess it's part of being an active teenager! :)
