Baptism

1. Jesus came to John the Baptist,
In Judea long ago,
And was baptized by immersion
In the River Jordan’s flow.

2. “To fulfill the law,” said Jesus,
When the Baptist questioned why,
“And to enter with my Father
In the kingdom up on high.”

3. Now we know that we must also
Witness faith in Jesus’ word,
Be baptized to show obedience,
As was Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Seth was baptized at the Qasr Al Yehud baptismal site in Isreal on the Jordan river.  The above picture is looking across the river to the Jordan side of the Jordan River.  It is likely that Christ was baptized from the Jordan side of the river close to this area

Sarah leads us in some singing while Steve and Seth change.

Kate does a special musical number.

Here comes Seth all fresh and clean!

The girls need to test the water.  It was chilly and muddy on the bottom.

While changing you had a great view through the barbed wire fence at the desert scattered with land mines.  A good reminder to stay on the straight and narrow path.

Back to the Jerusalem Center Seth was confirmed and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

Christmas Day

Merry Christmas and Ho-Ho-Ho.  It was so fun to have cousins and Grandma's and Grandpa with us.

Off to the gym to play dodge ball.

 oopps!

A leisurely afternoon of  nail painting and pj time.

Battle ship anyone?  We also had lots of fun playing Word on the Street.

Hannah made some delicious gingerbread that the kids decorated.  We also had yummy Wassail to drink.

 The Garden Tomb.

We visited Omar's and Jimmy's olive wood carving shops.

We stopped at the Austrian Hospice in Old Town for lunch.

We did a little shopping in the Christian Quarter.

Merry Christmas!
