Kids say the darndest things.......especially mine!

Here are some of the funny things that have happened over the last month, I can't believe how funny these guys are......you might not be as funny to you as it is to me, but I have to document it so I can remember these stories for when they get older!

I was driving to Caleb school a couple weeks ago (it was on a Monday and I have no idea what they were teaching my child in church the Sunday before.......ryan.....haha!) and we pull up to the school and Caleb bursts into tears! He was sobbing so hard that he could barely explain what was going on. He composes himself and tell me that he doesn't want to go on a mission!

Me: "Caleb, why don't you want to go?"
Caleb: "Because I don't want to leave you guys."
Me: "Well we have a while to go before you really need to decide if you would like to go or not."
Caleb:"What happens to me if I don't go?" Then he BURSTS into tears again. "I die, don't I?"
Me: (chuckling) "Caleb you don't die"

I then explained to him about what happens on a mission and why we go and that it is our choice but that Heavenly Father wants us to go. Then he looks at me and says:
"mom, can't my friend Dylan go for me instead?"

Preface: My brother (age 13) made Caleb a duct tape wallet for Christmas. (I guess it is like the coolest new thing to do, I don't get it) Well, it is Caleb's FAVORITE thing he got for Christmas. I think because it was made with love...haha

Cambree comes up to me the other day and says, "mom, there is something in my nose."
Me: What's in your nose?
Cambree: a green sticker
Me: Well come here, lets take a look
Sure enough, There was something up there. I have never had an up-the-nose experience, I thought to myself "my kids are so dignified, they would never do anything like that!" HAHAHA. Yeah Right! So I grab the tweasers, reach up and pull it out. Sure enough, a green sticker.
Me: How long has this been here?
Cambree: Just a couple days
Me: We don't stick things up our nose, that is not safe. Why did you stick it up there?
Cambree: I took it off of Caleb's wallet and I didn't want him to know I did it, so I am hiding it in my nose!

Well, smart girl. That is one place that I am sure that Caleb never would have thought to look!

We have been picking up a friend and taking her to school with us because her mom just had a baby. She is such an adorable girl and Caleb wants to marry her someday. Well, she is quite the chatter box. Here is a conversation that happened the other day on the way to school.
Abby: My dad has hair all over his body!!
Caleb: (I happened to look in my mirror and he had a very perplexed look, seeing how his dad is not very hairy) Well, is he a pirate?
Abby: um, NO!
Caleb: Well if he is not a pirate then he should shave it all off

I don't know why, but I thought this was SO funny!

New Camera Fun

They are the best of friends!

Trying out the new towels we got for Christmas

So I got a new camera for Christmas! I am having a lot of fun taking pictures and becoming familiar with how it works. It even takes video in HD, which is a huge upgrade for me.

Cabin

So after Christmas we headed to the cabin for some snowmobiling and relaxation. It was nice to get away and just enjoy family and fresh air.

This is our little snow princess.....this girl makes me laugh every day

Here I am trying out my new camera with my little man! Isn't he adorable??

This is what hair looks like after it has been on a snowmobile ride!

Caleb and Cambree riding the snowmobiles.

There was not enough good packing snow to make a snowman......so they made a pre-historic snowman.....a dino-man! They used icicles from the cabin to make spikes on his back. So cute!

Family pictures 09

Are these not the cutest kids you have ever seen????

Christmas Part 1

Yes, I know, I am a total slacker and I am just now getting to Christmas blogging. We had an awesome Christmas season, we were sure sad to see it go this year. Here we are making cookies for santa. The kids got new aprons and chef hats, so we had to put them to good use!

These are the kids new Christmas pajamas. I think I did pretty good picking out the jammies this year! Each kid's jammies totally match their personality, kinda funny! Caleb's has an angry gorilla on it who is lifting weights (he is my wild monkey, for sure), Cambree's is decorated in cupcakes, cookies, milk, and donuts (every treat she loves!), and Caden's has dinosaurs all over it (big kid). haha

Here are the kids spreading their reindeer food all over the yard, so that the reindeer will be able to find our house super fast!

Cookies and milk for sants, carrots for the reindeer!

Coming down the stairs Christmas morning. Ashley and Landon came and slept over. Me-ma, papa and great grandma came first thing Christmas morning to help open all the gifts.

Santa brought Cambree a "barbie princess girl"! It was a definite hit! Apparantly she has been wanting one her whole life!

Caleb got a robot! Both kids also got a scooter! Now if spring would just come so we can ride them.

There were so many presents that it took all of us over 2 hrs to open everything!

Caden got a little toy that he can ride on, and it also lifts up so he can push it when he learns to walk.

Well, the pictures stop here..........just kidding! I got a new camera!!!! Stay tuned for awesome pictures to come.
