Just a bit about Kennedy

*She has the best smile.

*She loves her sister and brother.

*She is very smart and creative.

*She is so sweet and shy.

I love you for all these reasons but above all you fill my heart and that is more than I could ever ask for.  We are so lucky to have you in our family.  I remember the day you where born and how I felt.  You impress me everyday with your ability to always have a smile on your face. 

 

I AM SO BLESSED.

Halloween on base is the best.  Everyone is walking around (a lot of people just leave a big bowl of candy on their porch), enjoying the weather and how safe and fun it is for the kids.  My kids know that the cops are always walking around giving out glow necklaces.   This will be one of the things that I will miss about Altus.

No, Sadie is not taller that Kennedy yet. She is getting close but she is still just the same size thank goodness. Dallin was convinced that he must have his backpack to take the girls to school (he made me stuff his Buzz Light Year in it). It was Sadie's very first day of school and she could hardly wait. She woke up at 6:30 ready to begin the day (luckily I was already awake or that would have not been as fun). Kennedy was excited but a little sad to be getting a new teacher but do not worry she now loves her new teacher. It was a fun walk to school with Dad by our side. We are so lucky to live one block from the school, it sure makes mom's life easier. I miss both my girls during the day, but it is fun to start to see my little boy without his sister always around. He is adorable and very funny. So here we go with another year of Box top labels, Popcorn Fridays and Book Fairs.

The Fourth of July was all about family and fun this year.

How did I get so lucky as to have two Super Heroes in my home. Oh how I love my boys. If any of you have been around Dallin long enough you would know that all he talks about is being a SUPER. He has you put his cape on at least 5x's a day. I have no explanation for Bert only, that's Bert.

This past Sunday before church I grabbed the matching dresses (not twins but want the same things) and proceeded to explain that Kennedy gets to wear the pink this week because you (Sadie) wore pink last week. I was all prepared for whaling and gnashing of teeth but instead this is was I was told. I will wear the blue because that is Jacob's favorite color and it will make him happy if I wear it. Oh the fun that lies ahead for these two. I must say that Kennedy was continually reminding Sadie that Jacob would love the blue. Side note to those who do not know Jacob Mumford and have not read his family blog, Jacob told his sister that he is going to marry Kennedy. Like I said oh the fun that lies ahead for these two.

Life has been so fun, chaotic, and adventurous lately. In the last month we have gone to Arizona to visit Nana and Papa. The girls could not get enough of the pool. Sorry no pictures those would be on our desk top that is non functioning right now. This has put a kink in the working of our house. Note to self backup, backup, backup. On a happier note the girls are swimming so well. They can not get enough of the pool (usually get to go twice a day if you count swimming lessons). Dallin has become quite adventurous himself. The summer has flown by and I am getting a little sad thinking of how old the girls are getting. They will both be in school all day this year. Kennedy will be in Kindergarten and Sadie will be in Pre-K. They are both so excited to go to school. Sadie is steadily passing Kennedy in the hight department. Everyone gets them confused and doesn't know who is who. Kennedy always mentions this to me after she has been called said or asked if they are twins. They are the best of friends and I feel so blessed that they have such a good friendship. Dallin is just our Super Rescue hero of our home. He wears a cape everyday and goes and rescues everyone around the house. He is obsessed with Spiderman (I am dreading taking of his Spiderman shirt tonight). Bert has once again applied for school and the teaching positions at AFIT. We should be hearing news soon on interviews and such. I have just been managing all the chaos that has been going on.

Why as moms do we always choose to be so fussy about what are kids look like. Is it for them or ourselves? I like my kids to look cute and put together but about 30 min. after all my efforts it always seems to look like nothing special was done. This was the case on the day of their dad's promotion from 2nd LT to 1stLT. At least the people that know us also know my kids. We are so proud of Bert even thought this promotion is automatic he still is so hard working and is always striving to be the best. We also had a fun time taking some cake over to the Fire station and then getting to climb in all the Fire trucks (a little kids dream until he sees a plane). We are so lucky to have so many fun opportunities here.

Last month we had the best vacation. We took the kids to Disney World along with my mom and dad and my sister and her family. It was so fun we rented a 15 passenger van and enjoyed every minute of our visit.






It was so fun. We all want to go again next year. The girls are excited to ride Tower of Terror again and of course their favorite Thunder Mountain Railroad. Thanks mom and dad for making it such a great trip. Diamond Parking is the best!
