So this was the beginning of an annual Mustache Bash Party!! It was so fun, once we got started! Adam made up this party idea at Jen's Ugly Sweater party and thought it would be a fun idea. So, we had all the men start growing their beards after Christmas and then on the night of the party the men would shave a unique beard. So, everyone showed up with bandanas on their faces so we couldn't see the end result until everyone had arrived. We ate food and played the newly wed game. It was so much fun. It was hard because Adam and I haven't done a party in over a year.

Christmas 2011 Rock Springs Wyoming

This year has flown by! I can't believe it has been a year since we moved from Alaska. I remember sitting in Chloe's room in Fairbanks wondering when I could come back to the lower 48, and here I am! Life has been interesting.
We moved to Rock Springs at the end of January 2011. Adam is now the director of Guardian Flight Wyoming! What an awesome guy! He has been working so hard. We are going on our 4 year with the company and so excited to be closer to family.
Last week one of the helicopter mechanics took the aircraft and crashed it north of Rock Springs! Everyone was okay, but the helicopter is a total loss! We have been working on this project for 11 months. Adam has the most wonderful employees. Everyone has come together as a family to get through this devastating blow to this company. Only time will tell if and when we can transport people!

Chloe started school this year! I can't believe she is 5. Dropping her off the first day of school was fun, exciting, and sad! She didn't cry. She was very scared, but held it all in until the end. As I was waiting for her in front of her school, the bell rang, and she runs as fast as her little legs could take her (towards me) and burst into tears!! It was so sad. She is now loving school and can't wait to return after the weekend. Her drawings and reading has improved dramatically. Chloe came home and informed us that she has 2 boyfriends! Adam about fell over. He asked me "does it start this early?!" It was funny.

Lincoln is 3.5 and keeping me on my toes. He is obsessed with Star Wars! He plays a Star Wars lego game all day long. He doesn't eat much. His diet right now is chocolate rice crispy cereal, pizza, bread, chocolate milk, and macaroni and cheese. He loves to be outside and would play all day if that was possible. He loves playing Star Wars with his dad and can't wait for Chloe to get home from school to play games with him. Lincoln is so sensitive. If he is in trouble, we just have to raise our voices and he starts to cry..

I'm just hear trying to keep everything in balance! When I look at my blessings I am overwhelmed and thankful for my little family and the gospel! I love my family and love my new friends here in Rock Springs!
Merry Christmas

I guess I just wanted to update my blog.. I haven't done it since 09 so I thought it was about time. Things are going well. Chloe and Lincoln are getting so big! It is so much fun watching them grow. I am actually starting to love it (and it only took me 5 years)
Shauna did a great job taking pictures of the kids.. There are so many to choose from I don't know what to do.

My Chloe is 5 and Lincoln is 3. Chloe is so excited to start school she can't hardly wait. She start in August all day preschool. I'm getting nervous. Which surprises me because I never thought I would cry or get sad when she started Kindergarten. Lincoln is just a little man. He is such a boy. He is very sweet and will melt your heart with some of the things he says.

Fairbanks update

This is my little Lincoln. He loves his belly!! He is the best baby ever!

I was looking at my blog a couple of days ago and decided to update it. The days are going by fast. Fairbanks is an adventure for sure. Times are good, but hard. I haven't found any friends to hang out with yet. We moved again in July, which was hard, because I was just getting involved in church and making some friends. So, now here we are in another ward and starting over. It will be okay, just hard work.
These are some picture of Adam's mom and dad when they visited with us in June. I have more pictures, but we can't find the cord to plug it in. We also went to the fair on Saturday. It was so nice to get out of the house. The last 3 or 4 weeks its been smokey so we haven't been able to get out. The kids are growing up so fast. Chloe turned 3 in June and Lincoln turned one in April. I have a busy life which I'm trying to enjoy, but you know how the dang kids can drive you crazy sometimes. Life is good. We do miss so many things, I really don't dare to start naming them.
I've been on face book the last few months so I haven't been updating as much. I love seeing all the new picture of my family and friends. God bless and hopefully we will be home soon.

EARTHQUAKE IN ALASKA!!!

Yes you read the title right there was an earthquake today here in little Fairbanks Alaska 3.6 magnitude.
I had just put Lincoln down around 4 A.M. and I couldn't go back to sleep, because of the sun. I started to hear some dogs barking that live around the neighborhood so I'm thinking to myself that was weird, because they never bark. Then it occurred to me that something might happen because they were going crazy. Sure enough around 4:30 or 5:00 A.M I started to shake and not because I was scared. The shaking only lasted a few seconds, but was intense and strong! So, I told Adam "we are having an earthquake!" He was talking in his sleep (which I didn't know at the time) and didn't even budge! Here I was already thinking where my kids and I were going to hide. (ha) Its funny now, but WOW I was really awake after that! Thank goodness there was no damage and no one was hurt.
Other than that the earth moving under my feet, Everything is going well. The sun is shining, there are people everywhere the trees are green, and its warm! I think I'm going to like it here.

This is Chloe and our neighbor Amya. They have rabbits in their garage and Chloe is in love.

Spring in Fairbanks

The snow is finally melting and the bears are awake! We haven't seen any yet, but about 3 weeks ago a woman heard something out her back door and sure enough it was a bear! I really hope I only see a bear from the comfort of my CAR, T.V. or HOME. The weather is getting so nice, we have now hit 70 degrees. I can not tell you how nice it is to go on a run, or to just sit outside and play with the kids! We have enjoyed the last week!
Lincoln had his first birthday yesterday. I can't believe he is already one. He is walking and knows 3 signs for sign language. He is my snuggle baby! He also loves his dad.
Mom came up for a week while Adam was on a business trip. It was so nice for her to be able to keep us company while Adam was gone. I can't wait to see her again. She spoiled chloe and I so much it was great!!
I've been taking pictures that last 3 or 4 weeks around 9:30 P.M. to show you how light it is getting here. The sun rises at 5:30 and sets at 10:15. Things are going well. We both feel a little more settled thanks to a lot prayers and each other. We miss everyone and can't wait to here from you.

Pictures will be published tomorrow its too late! ahhh 11PM already
P.S. Today I saw some green grass...
