HELP! We need your info!

Hello friends and family! We have been really busy the last couple weeks, as I am sure everyone has, with the holidays. We were also very busy moving from one coast to the other. Yes, we are here safely in Florida and have started working on getting our house ready to live in. We have one week left before Adam begins his new job so we are really cramming furniture shopping and painting into our days. I will definitely post pictures of the rooms when we finish.

So, yes, as you can see in the title we need some help from everyone. In our moving process our email was canceled before we were able to save any of the addresses. So I have nothing! I didn't want to put my new email address on a public blog page, and I didn't want to ask anyone else to do the either so I created an email address just for the purposes of replacing my lost information. Please email your current information (mailing address, phone, current email) to barremailgather@gmail.com and then I'll reply back with all of our information. I hope that I am able to hear from all of you! Thanks!

More updates to come. . . .

The Fun Part of Yesterday . . .

No pictures with this entry, sorry. We spent most of yesterday packing all of our stuff into some moving pods. Of course it took much longer and more effort than we were thinking that it would! Which is how is always is!

But the fun news is that yesterday morning we went in for an ultrasound and found out that we are having a baby boy! One of each, now I'll never have to worry about not having one or the other. Clara, by the way, is insistant that she too has a baby in her tummy. And even though mine is a boy, she says that she has a girl baby in her tummy, in fact today she said she had two! I'm glad it's her and not me!

Introducing Our New Addition

Yes, it's what you are probably thinking. We are pregnant! Finally! I know that this is not the clearest of pictures, but the baby is only about 2 inches long here. It still has a lot of growing to do. This is also my explanation for why I have not been blogging lately. The first trimester was kind of rough for me. Being nauseous all day does not make one inclined to spend time on the computer, or do much else for that matter! Clara and Adam have been really great and helpful and are no doubt thrilled that we are finished with that stage of the pregnancy. I am about 14 weeks pregnant at this point and looking forward to a healthy pregnancy.
We are still working really hard to get ready for our big move coming up this month. We will have our stuff packed up and moved by the 21st of December, and then we will fly out on the 27th. Adam and I have been spending our free time sifting through all our belongings and trying to reduce the amount, we have been making a lot of trips to the good will lately. The rest we are packing into boxes, our garage is slowing getting full. I'll try to keep everyone updated on our progress!

Looking for a good read?

So, a lot of you have probably already heard of this book. But if you haven't and are looking for something fun and clever to read, this is it. I loved it, and it's a quick and easy read that will make you smile.

Happy Halloween!!

Clara was a beautiful fairy princess this year. She was very excited about how cute she thought she looked. The picture here is of her at her school's Halloween parade. She danced and waved all the way through! And trick-or-treating for the first time was really fun for her and Adam and I! She loved it- meeting people, getting candy, looking at all the decorations. We hope that you all had a great Halloween too!

We're Moving

Sorry I haven't blogged in so long! We have a lot of things going on. One of our biggest changes is that we just bought a home. We are really excited about it. It is in Florida and we will be making the big move at the end of December. Everything is working out really well. Adam has a great job lined up to start in January-and we are excited!

A Visit with our Dentist

I wish that I had my camera with me when we went to do this. What darling pictures they would have been! Oh well. I'll remember next time. Anyway, this last weekend Adam took me and Clara to his dad's office to clean my teeth. It was definitely time. We set Clara up happily in the waiting room with a movie and some snacks while we went in a hygiene room for the cleaning. Clara was so cute. . . every so often I would feel her next to my head checking in with us. She said "Mommy, is Daddy fixing your teeth so their good as new?" And then when we were all done she came in all ready to jump up in the seat for "her turn". Luckily Adam said her teeth look really good, so he took a tooth brush and cleaned them for her. She is very aware of the fact that her Daddy is a dentist and he fixes teeth all day. On occasion she calls him Dr. Dad.

Clara is 3

Clara had her 3rd birthday this last week and it was the most fun so far! At 3 she understands the whole concept of birthdays and loved that the whole day was all about her. She got a special celebration at school
and then we went to a place called The Jungle (similar to Chuck e cheese). There her favorite part was the balls, although she enjoyed playing the games for tickets too. But, as we learned, a 3 year old plays ski ball different than you or I would!

The Halo 3 Phenomenon

This post is in honor of the release of the greatly anticipated (at least anticipated by a lot of males out there) game Halo3. I know that Adam has been looking forward to it for a while. So I went out yesterday morning and waited in a line of Halo junkies to get it so he would have it when he got home from work yesterday. Actually it wasn't as bad as all that :) He spent last evening with friends from dental school on-line playing the new game and had a great time. I know that a lot of wives hate the video games our husbands seem to love so much, but believe me or not I don't mind all that much. Adam is pretty responsible about balancing his time out. Clara and I feel we get enough attention so I figure if this is what he wants to do to relax then. . . "Have a good time, honey!"

An Afternoon of Painting

Adam set this little station up for Clara up a few days ago. She loved it! How do I know? She spent over an hour outside painting and mixing colors together. And she has asked to do this every day since. She is so intent, it's so cute! Clara also thinks that her little painting smock is really cool. When she was done I asked her if she wanted me to take it off and she said "No, I think I'll keep it on a little longer."

School's In

Clara recently started school. I know what most of you are thinking, "Is she old enough for school ALREADY?" She turns 3 in October. The program she is going to is a pre-school starting at 3, and she goes two mornings a week. And she LOVES it. She is always so happy on school-days! When she wakes up she is ready to leave, I have to keep her occupied so we don't get there too early. Most people ask how Clara is about me leaving her at school and the answer is that she has NO problem at all. But she is always happy to see me when I come back to pick her up. She says "Mommy, you came back to me!" So we are all happy about school, and I enjoy the little break!

There must always be a First!

So I have now officially entered the world of blogging! I love how easy it makes keeping up with friends and family. So my first challenge is . . . what to write about in the first segment? I have a lot of ideas for subsequent entries, but it seems that the first one needs to introduce something, somehow. But I don't really want to type up an official bio, so I am going to ask all of you, my friends and family, to be patient and look for my upcoming entries!
