Another funny thing that happened yesterday was when we were doing some walking/shopping across the street from where we live. Addy sat down on a bench for a minute and then I told her, "Addy we have to go now." She came over to me and said, "I was just being thoughtful about Daddy." When I asked her what she was thinking about she replied, "I was thinking about how when Daddy leaves Qualcomm (where he works) they will miss him."
Yesterday when I took Addy out of the bath we were talking about bones and how bones help the different parts of your body move. She stared down at herself for awhile and then said, "My body is peach and my hair is white."

A backhanded compliment

Yesterday was my birthday and Addy said this to me as she was putting her pajamas on,"Mom, thanks for being nice on your birthday." I'm not sure if I should take this as a compliment or an insult!

Dinnertime conversation

"I don't want to be a grown up, I just wanna be a bigger girl...with blonde hair."

Another Funny Prayer

A couple of weeks ago we had Addy say our family prayers. When she was saying the prayer, she said the following, "Please help Jeff to be married with me in the temple." The Jeff she is referring to is Jeff Wiggle of The Wiggles. She pretty much never watches The Wiggles, but Jeff happens to be one of her favorite imaginary friends. Which is funny, since he's an actual person! For the record, her other favorite imaginary friend lately is a person or bug (not sure which) named Cricket.

Primary prayer

To say that Addy has struggled with potty training would be quite an understatement. Aside from nursing her, it's been the most difficult thing of my life! As a result, in our nightly prayers as a family we started having her ask for help going on the potty. Also, lately we've been having her say prayers by herself without help from us. So a few weeks ago she was asked to give the opening prayer during sharing time in primary. I thought that she would surely need my help in saying it, but she started doing it by herself and somewhere towards the middle she said, "And please help me go pee pee on the potty." When she was done, the kids (and adults, for that matter) were cracking up! One older girl even said, "Oh man, I wish I could have recorded that." Pretty funny stuff and a prayer I'll never forgot!

Narrator

Something funny that Addy has been doing lately, is acting like her whole life is a story. For instance, she'll come downstairs and say, "Hi mom, how are you doing? Addy said." Or she'll get mad about something and then after, she'll add on, "Addy shouted." It's really funny that she's been able to pick up on stories enough to be able to narrate her everyday activities.
