Primary prayer
To say that Addy has struggled with potty training would be quite an understatement. Aside from nursing her, it's been the most difficult thing of my life! As a result, in our nightly prayers as a family we started having her ask for help going on the potty. Also, lately we've been having her say prayers by herself without help from us. So a few weeks ago she was asked to give the opening prayer during sharing time in primary. I thought that she would surely need my help in saying it, but she started doing it by herself and somewhere towards the middle she said, "And please help me go pee pee on the potty." When she was done, the kids (and adults, for that matter) were cracking up! One older girl even said, "Oh man, I wish I could have recorded that." Pretty funny stuff and a prayer I'll never forgot!

Narrator
Something funny that Addy has been doing lately, is acting like her whole life is a story. For instance, she'll come downstairs and say, "Hi mom, how are you doing? Addy said." Or she'll get mad about something and then after, she'll add on, "Addy shouted." It's really funny that she's been able to pick up on stories enough to be able to narrate her everyday activities.

Imaginary friends and enemies
Addy has all kinds of imaginary friends lately. Her favorite one is Jeff from the Wiggles, even though he is in fact a real person. She is always pretending like he's right next to her. She's probably also the only kid alive who has an imaginary enemy, who also happens to be a real person. It's Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog movie. She hasn't seen the movie more than a couple of times, but has the book on CD and listens to it often. She's constantly yelling at Dr. Facilier (or Dr. Sillia, as she calls him) and telling him not to do this or that. It's pretty funny stuff!

Boy
Addy has really been liking to talk in different voices lately (don't know where she gets that from?) and her favorite voice to talk in is a very low voice. In fact, she often uses it more than her regular voice. The conversation with her when she's talking in this voice goes something like this:
Me-Who are you?
Addy-I'm a boy
Me-Oh you're a boy, what's your name?
Addy-Boy
Me-Your name is boy?
Addy-Yeah, silly the boy
Funny stuff!

"Creschool Girl"
Addy is currently totally obsessed with jewelry and especially with wearing every bracelet she owns. Whenever she puts on all of her bracelets she tells me she's a "creschool girl." Which I'm assuming means a preschool girl. I'm not sure what wearing a lot of bracelets has to do with being in preschool, but one thing is for sure she's a funny girl!
70 feet long
Addy LOVES the movie "Tangled" and is obsessed with Rapunzel and all of the other princesses. She has a Rapunzel book that she likes to read constantly. I was reading it to her the other night before bed and there is a part that says, "Rapunzel's hair is 70 feet long." When I read it Addy looked closely at the picture and said, "That's not her feet, that's her hair." I tried to explain to her that feet is a body part and also a measurement, but she wasn't really getting it.

A cute moment
Usually Ryan and I both go upstairs with Addy and put her to bed. We do the same thing every night. Read stories and brush teeth down stairs, then go upstairs and say prayers and give hugs and kisses by Addy's bed. The other night Ryan was gone, so it was just me and Addy doing the bed time routine. Lately, we've also been having her give my belly a kiss, so she can kiss her baby brother good night. On this night, she kissed my belly and then wrapped her arms around it and said, "I love you baby brudder." I think she's going to make a great older sister!
"Plubbing my belly"
A little while back Addy asked if she could "plub my belly." Ryan and I had no idea what she was talking about. We asked her to say it again a couple of times, so we could figure out what she was talking about. Then Ryan asked her what it meant to plub my belly and she pushed on my belly pretty hard. We both told her not to plub my belly anymore. Then just a week or so ago Ryan blew up his cheeks and asked Addy if she wanted to pop them. She said she would "plub his cheeks" and then popped them. So I guess in her mind to plub something=to pop it. Which is why she thought she could, "plub my belly." So funny how her mind works!
