My 2nd cousin, Elder Mecham (Thomas and Nanette's son) is serving in our ward right now. Pretty fun to make that connection!

Lincoln's Birthday
There was a tornado warning the day of Lincoln's birthday party. Many parents called to see if we were still doing a pool party. We went forward with faith in our weather man, and just as he said, the clouds parted and the sun came out just it time. The wind made may people's power go out, including the grocery store that was supposed to make Lincoln's cake. Luckily they got to it before the power went!
Had an "Avengers" obstacle course.
Bunch of crazy little boys!! Isaac Stewart, James Gregory, Jack, Bennett, Carter Mortensen, Varchas, Lincoln, Josh Allred, Kam Mortensen.
A new beta fish was a highlight. Thanks, Stewarts!
It takes a village to open presents.
Addie and Sariah Keller, my babysitters/life guards. Couldn't have done it without them.
Birthday boy.
Happy Birthday to this cute 6-year-old. Lincoln loves to laugh, and loves to cry just as much. He's our drama king, but he is so soft hearted and forgives quickly (not sure who he gets this from). He loves to help. Loves to build things, and is very good at it. He plays more on his own than with his brothers. Loves to swim. He makes us smile, and loves to hug and snuggle.

April Happenings
We have had A LOT of rain, hail and tornado warnings. Our backyard drains get plugged up which makes for some LARGE puddles.
Sure loving our bougainvillea blossoms!
Eldon did his first poop in the potty.
Earned himself some Buzz Lightyear undies, but he has since decided that he would rather continue to poop in his pants. I'll let him decide when he's good and ready, cause I have no need for more laundry!!
Eldon is such a little chatter box. This is an early morning conversation we had in my bed while we waited for the other boys to wake up. He just cracks me up. He has developed a pajama fetish. They must be long sleeved and long pants, not too tight, and not too loose. Such a funny little boy.
My friends took me out to Pappasittos for a nice dinner celebration for the new arrival to be. L-R: Brianne Stewart, me, Kathryn Hall, Jessica Williams, and Wendy Nelson
Brianne is due 2.5 weeks before me.
Lucy can't get enough of matt's disgusting feet!!

"Drugging" and "Full of Nature"
Lincoln made Matt a fantastic card for his birthday. A few weeks ago, we had read in the children's version of the Doctrine and Covenants how the Word of Wisdom had come about. Lincoln, I think, was pretty floored by the idea that the men in the School of the Prophets drank and smoked. We haven't really discussed it since we read that with them. Then out of no where, he decides that he is going to make a "game" for Matt on the birthday card. I about died of laughter when I read what he came up with. Happy Birthday, Matt!!
This last Sunday, it rained a lot of the morning. It stopped for a while in the afternoon. We were feeling cooped up, so we decided to go for a nature walk at one of our parks nearby. On the way over, Bennett asked for some clarification on what nature is. We went through a list and tried to determine which things were considered nature and which things weren't. After quizzing me, and me quizzing him, Bennett felt like he had a pretty good grasp on what nature meant.
As we walked along on some dirt trails next to a bayou, the boys found great joy in sloshing around in some fantastic and rather large mud puddles. I purposely had them put on their old, gross shoes in anticipation of the likely encounter we'd have with some mud, so I just let them go for it. Pure bliss. More fun than Disney World. Bennett couldn't get over the tooty noises the mud made as he squeezed his feet in and out of the puddle. Eldon had a little fall, which resulted in a muddy bum. Later, he had to be carried on Matt's back. Matt enjoyed that (insert sarcastic tone). As we headed back, Bennett was a little ahead of us on the trail. He turned around and proudly announced, "Hey Mom!!! My shoes are full of nature!!". So true, they definitely were full of nature, and my heart was full of happiness. These kids crack me up. You just never know what they'll pull out of their sleeves!!

Matt's Birthday
Big Daddy has his birthday. Bennett had some big ideas of what Matt should get for his birthday. Bennett got him baseball bats for the boys, cause he knew dad would like to teach them how, shaving cream and body wash were a must, and most of all Bennett knew that Matt wanted a Toyota truck. He didn't understand why we wouldn't just go out and buy one. That really would have made Matt's birthday. Instead, we got him a remote control truck to enjoy with the boys. I think Bennett was more excited than Matt for his birthday.

Latest Ultrasounds
Last visit, the Dr thought that baby might be jumbo size cause my belly was measuring 2 cm (i.e. 2 weeks) bigger than it should, so Doc ordered an ultrasound this time around to check the growth and make sure I will be able to birth this baby. Things looked fine. Baby is around 5.5 lbs they estimate (but those estimates never seem quite right). If the baby gains half a pound each week like they say they do, this could be a 9 pounder. All my others have been between 7 and 7 lb 14 oz. It was interesting to see how at this stage in the game, the baby can hardly fit on the screen. Lots different than 13 weeks ago at the 20 week check.
Arm going across the face with the eye and nose behind arm.
Scary eyeball shot like they like to do.
Nose and lips. (Nose is the triangle near the top)
And some fun preggo pictures:

Easter Weekend
This weekend we went on our first long family bike ride with one of the kid's riding. Lincoln rode all 4 miles. We were very proud! Bennett made it 1 mile. His bike is so small, he has to peddle a million miles an hour to try to keep up. We'll have to wait till he can handle the next bike size up. (p.s. Why are Matt's eyes always closed?)
Hanging with the guys at Rao's Bakery
Lucy loves to come on our rides!
Don't Eldon and Lincoln look like the same kid in these pictures?
Sunday, the kids just couldn't sleep, so we had ourselves a very early Easter Egg Hunt.
The Hunt
Yep, it's still dark outside. That's what happens when you get up before 6.
Enjoying Grandma Adsero's Easter gifts.

Easter Pool Party
Had the Gregorys and the Stewarts over for some egg dyeing and a splash in the pool.
Rissy and Eldon
Bennett and James
The gang.
When Grandparents Mecham Came to Town
We had a blast when Grandparents Mecham came to visit us. They've been gone far too long. We determined that the last time they had stayed at our place was when Bennett was born in Korea nearly 5 years ago!! Yowzers. We've been to see them several times in between, however. We certainly had a great time with them.
Saturday, March 28th: German Festival in Tomball
Don't mind the striped whale on the left.
Hi!!
Steve-O likes himself a spot of shade.
Guess the gun was a little loud for Eldon's liking.
Matt won a huge stuffed animal for Eldon at the shooting range, but Eldon did NOT want the big one, so they gave him 3 small ones. He couldn't have been happier. He was smiling from ear to ear, but the sun was in his eyes.
Taking a spin with Grandma
At least one of them looks excited to be on the Cyclone!
Lounging by the pool. The weather really couldn't have been more perfect.
Grandpa saying something like, "Kiss my toe".
Guess Lucy was thirsty.
Bennett loved the rides.
Grandpa enjoyed Lucy's "flips" almost as much as Lucy enjoyed his splashes. She actually fell in the hot tub doing this.
Post-pool BBQ
Sunday, we did the church thing and played a bit with the kids at the school playground, then Monday, Matt took work off and went golfing in the AM with my dad, and then we went to Galveston for the afternoon/evening.
They treated us to a very nice lunch at Willie G's at Pier 21 in Galveston Bay
Bennett wouldn't get in the picture with Lincoln. Had to have his own moment.
Grandma took Eldon for a walk while we waited for our food.
Went for a stroll on "The Strand". The old, and perhaps only part of Galveston worth seeing.
I think Lincoln is concerned about his missing flip flop.
Creepy guys on The Strand. Lincoln tried to take their money, naturally.
Hit La King's Confectionary Shop for some C-A-N-D-Y!!!
So many choices, so little time!
Made a decision.
Love this architecture!
We had to eat and walk so we could hit the dolphin tour on time.
On the dolphin tour. They put on a good show for us!!
Not the best video, but OK for posterity's sake.
Made in the shade. Our little Korean tent came in handy.
The water was a little cool.
Loves his guys.
Kept a safe distance after a wave nearly washed him over.
Thinking about how much more crystal clean the water is in Guam.
Chips and candy? Yes please.
32 weeks and counting.
Tuesday, March 31: Bummed around and ate lunch with Matt
This was about the 3rd time through the book. Poor Grandpa.
Lunch at Exxon. We made a little bit of a scene. Didn't quire fit in with all the professionals there.
Wednesday, April 1: Went on a nice walk, ate lunch with Lincoln and they shipped out.
Bennett is doing really well riding his bike on his own. He probably rode at least 2 miles on our walk. This park used to be one of two country club golf courses. We saw lots of herons or perhaps cranes, and have seen white tailed deer jumping around in there just blocks from our house. It is really fantastic. Yes, the kids are still in their PJs.
Lunch at Lincoln's school. Love the buddies in the background.
So long!!!
