So for about a year, I've heard my mom's group friends talk about "JBF". They always talk about how fun it is, the great deals, and "volunteering" to get an early pass. JBF is the "Just Between Friends" consignment sale (www.jbfsale.com) in Fort Worth. Basically, you can take your extra clothes and/or any kids stuff to consign AND/OR you can shop. Win, win, right? I missed the spring sale because I was busy birthing a baby, but I got in on this sale.
You don't have to consign clothes, but if there are extras lying around, why not? Yeah, I didn't decide to consign until 2 days before the clothes were due - and it was my first time, so I was a little panicky. My friend Alyssa taught me the ways and helped me hang, price, and tag my clothes (thanks!). I put a ton of maternity clothes in there for cheap because I never want to see those suckers again!
By volunteering, I got an early pass to last night's preview sale. Holy smokes! I HAD SO MUCH FUN! This is what the center looks like:

(You can see my laundry cart...I used that for my goods.)
I shopped for about 3 hours. My goal was to find: pj's for Connor, dresses for Megan, and a few toys for Connor. Here was my "start" pile, before I sorted and rejected:

I ended up with some GREAT DEALS!
For Connor:
11 PJ's, 3 shirts, 3 jeans, 2 bum around pants, 1 sweater, 1 overalls, 4 toys, 5 hooded towels, 4 washcloths, dinosaur Halloween costume, new package of cups and spoons...I think that's it.
For Megan:
3 shirts, 1 felt/flannel board playset. Yeah, she got shorted, but she's so freakin' picky, and I can't return things!
I got home at 12:30 a.m., and I was so exhausted. BUT, it was worth it. Clothes are all in the washer, and Connor's toys are all wiped down and disinfected. He LOVES them!

I'm ready for the spring sale!!!
