We missed the Christmas parade in our town, so we crashed another city's parade. Grandma and Grandma met us there, and we also ran into some old friends of ours. Megan and Lily were so excited to see each other and had the best time. Connor was enthralled, but he was also a little skeptical. A cold front came through right as the parade started.
Megan was dazed.
Connor and Grandpa were parade watching buddies.

A view...
After the parade, we went to our friends' house for hot chocolate. We could barely get Megan out of their house!
Megan kept talking about wanting to go ice skating. She really wanted to try it, and thought it would be so very fun. We went with Uncle Jeff, Aunt Lisa, and cousins over Thanksgiving weekend (yep, that's how far behind I am in blogging). It was a hoot. And it gently reminded me that it's been a long, long, long while since I last stepped on the ice.

Step, step, glide worked most of the time, but she heavily relied on anyone around her for help. She did really well for her first time.
We only made it around the crowded ice 4 times, but it was just enough for her to get a good taste of ice skating. She proclaimed that "it looks much easier and funner on TV".
