Family Pictures

Our friends Anson and Amy graciously took some family pictures for us. I learned three things from the experience...
1- It isn't a good idea to have your picture taken when you had a baby a month ago. Of course you think you look fat in every picture, because you do.
2- Taking family pictures with a 2 year old is an experience.
3 - Amy and Anson are amazing photographers!

I'll upload the pictures as soon as I can figure out how!

Kid Update #2

Oliver - 2 Months Old
* We found out he had a double ear infection at his Well-Child Checkup....so sad!
* He's a great sleeper...usually only wakes up once a night around 5:00am. He is showing his brother up big time!
* LOVES to be held. Actually, demands to be held 99.9% of the time.
* Cries when his brother gets anywhere near him. He is like an Elliot alarm system.
* Absolutely hates the car and his car seat. Screams the whole time!
* Stats....
-11 lbs. 14 oz. 75%
- 23 3/4" long 75-90%
-15 3/4" head 50-75%

Elliot - 23 Months Old
* Still obsessed with motorcycles.
* FINALLY starting to mimic what we say thanks to speech therapy. To date we have heard him say: juice, wa-wa, happy, yeah, wow, no, boots, da, jo-jo, ice (Bryce)....I would like to note that my son says his uncle's name and dad, but has yet to say any form of mom...sniff, sniff!
* The other day I found the door open with Elliot no where in sight. I threw my boots on, grabbed the baby, and ran outside in my pajamas in the pouring rain to find my meandering son. He had decided to go for a walk all by himself. I found him out near the main street, with his hands in his pockets, just going for a leisurely walk. When I found him he looked at me like it was no big deal.
* He still loves to ride his bike, be outside, and go to the park.
* He has a new found fascination with trains. He is really good at putting the tracks together himeself.
* He enjoys purposely crashing his bike and rolling it ontop of himself in a very dramatic manner. I think he has watched too many episodes of On Any Sunday.
* Speaking of On Any Sunday, he enjoys 70's movies. CHIPS is also another one of his faves. I put Shrek on the other day and he was apauled. He cried until I put on CHIPS....weird kid.

Kid Update

So I'm going to copy my friend Riles and try to document what my oh so talented kids are doing each month.

Elliot....22 Months Old
* Loves motorcycles, playing with cars, riding his balance bike, really he loves anything having to do with wheels.
* Enjoys coloring and painting.
* Finds joy in shutting every door in our house over and over and over again.
* Is able to yodel like the best of them in Leavenworth, but is receiving speech therapy for real words.
* Loves to entertain and be the center of attention. We think we might have a class clown on our hands.
* Refuses to go the nursery at church. He prefers to play at the drinking fountain instead of singing songs and eating snacks with his friends.
* LOVES his little brother Oliver!
* His favorite foods include pizza, hot dogs, and soda (do you think he is Andrew's son?).
* His cast is off, although he still walks like his leg is broken at times.

Oliver....1 Month Old
* Loves to sleep, poop, and eat.

Our Little Glow Worm

When we took Oliver to my postpartum appointment, he was looking a bit like a banana. They tested him for jaundice and we found out his bilirubin level had gone from 6 when we left the hospital to 18.9! After a series of doctor's appointments, we found ourselves back at home with a home nurse who set up our little glow worm with his very own tanning bed. He had "tan" for 24 hours a day. He was only allowed to take breaks every 3 hours to eat. Believe it or not, he LOVED his bed! The nurse would come to our house every morning to check him out and draw his blood. Luckily he only had to tan for about a week, and our glow worm can now be held as much as he wants!

The Motorcycle Man

Elliot is currently OBSESSED with motorcycles! Our friends who own Eastside Harley Davidson gave Elliot a motorcycle jacket for Christmas. Needless to say, the jacket is Elliot's favorite wardrobe item. He wears the jacket everywhere and shows everyone the motorcycle on his sleeve.

Hospital Pics

Elliot was sharing his raising with his little brother.

Lots of loves from Elliot.

Could not be prouder.
