Some fun photos of this summer!

We had so much fun this summer!

We went to Pincrest with Papa, Hilary and her boys. The boys had a blast on the boat and they each caught a fish! Here is Mitchell and Weston together having fun as cousins.

And here they are showing off the fish they caught.

Then we also had fun on 4th of July.

Here is us watching the fire works and swimming that day. It was a such a great day!

My Trip to Utah

Although the reason for going to Utah was sad, I did have fun while I was there. I got to see Susuanne and her new daughter Joy. It was so much fun to spend time with them. Here is a photo of Grant and Joy together and then of all four of us.

It was also nice to see Travis, Hilary and Tony and Tracy without the distractions of all the kids. We all went to dinner with my parents and that was a lot of fun to all be with each other. Here is a photo of all four of us kids.

Harrison Roger Day

Harry loves to say his full name.....Harrison Roger Day. But this last week he has been confused and seems to think that Roger Day should be attached to everyones name. So I am Mom Roger Day, and grandpa is Papa Roger Day. Also when he gets mad at someone his uses it too. Yesterday he got mad at Mitchell and yelled, "NO NO Mitchell Roger Day!!" We have been getting a big kick out of it! (you can tell I use the kids full names when I get mad at them)

We went and bought all the kids school supplies yesterday. I love this time of year. It is so exciting getting the new crayons and backpacks. Paige will be starting 3rd grade and Mitchell will be starting 1st. I think they are both going to do great this year. Mitchell is very excited to get a Boy Teacher this year. We will be going to get their new school clothes next week.

In Memory of my Grandpa Sam

My Grandpa passed away this last weekend. Although he had a long, great life he was very sick and old and needed to pass on.

When I was younger my brother was a black belt in karate, into baseball and soccer. He had more trophies than he knew what to do with. My grandpa felt bad for me and so he decided that for my 8th birthday to get me my own trophy. He had engraved on the plate "To my favorite little girl in the whole world" I still have it and cherish it.

My grandpa loved people and served everyone he came across. He told me that the only reason he went to church when he was older was because he wanted to be there to help his elderly friends get in and out of their wheelchairs and this is when he could hardly get around himself.
I am so sad that my younger children will never get to know him, be teased ruthlessly by him, or ever sit on his lap and share a bowl of ice cream with him. I will miss him so much. He taught me to love, to laugh and to be a good friend.
I love you grandpa.
