Matt is applying for a job promotion in his company today. Pray for him that he gets it. It will mean that he will work out of the Modesto office which would be so much better for our family! Also I wanted to thank you Travis for helping Matt with his resume. I know he really appreciates it.
UPDATE: Matt found out today that there are 3 other guys from JM who have submitted their resumes for the job today. So it looks like he has major competition. EEEeekkk

we will be praying for you matt. good luck!!!!!!!!!!
Go tear it up Matt. Remember three things when you interview:
1. Listen! Let them know that you are listening and are truly interested in what THEY are looking for in a candidate. Ask questions and then listen. Ask them what they are looking for. Ask them what the challenges they see to be. Seek to understand ...then be understood.
2. Convey confidence. Not cockiness but sound confidence based on your education and experience. Be proud of what you have accomplished and make it known. Help them see that they will meet their goals by putting you in position. Present back to what they told you they care about and are looking for.
3. Ask for the order! 3/4 of the way through the interview...shake things up by saying..."So, how am I doing? Where am I hitting the mark and what blinds spots do you see?" Let them talk. When they respond to any areac of concern or unsurety...Ask them to clarify. They will then tell you more. Then go in for the close and address their concerns once more. Don't leave the interview without asking for the job.
We will pray for you Matt!!! You are the Man!
