President Hinkley

I love President Hinkley. I guess that it is good that he is with his beloved wife again, but I will miss him so! I gained a strong testimony of him when I did a lengthy research paper on him in college where I came to respect and love him. He was a man of God and was loved by all.

Paige's Room

Well it was Paige's turn to have her room redone. She had out grown her room so we updated it to a more "grown-up" look. I still have a few small things to do like put up some white shelves but I think it turned out cute and Paige is very excited about it. She had a lot of fun going to the store and helping to pick out the color. I even let her do a lot of the painting. She turns 9 next week!

Tongue Out

For some weird reason Harry fell asleep in the car with his tongue out. I just had to take a photo cause he looked so funny.

Ear Infections Galore!

Mitchell, Harrison and Grant have all been really sick for over a week now. They have had fevers on and off and bad head colds. I have asked them a million times if their ears or throat hurt but they have said no.
Well, Mitch woke up crying today saying his ears hurt. I figured I better get all three of them checked out.

Sure enough all three of them have earaches. :( Mitchell finally got a referral to an ENT so we can get tubes in again. Poor kid has had so many ear infections over the last 6 months.

So after paying 3 co-payments and 3 prescriptions I spent over 100 dollars today on these stupid earaches. Please pray all my boys get better soon. I need some major sleep and am going crazy having to hold Grant all day and night.

Just for my records:
Grant was 19 pounds 15 ounces
Harry was 34 pounds
Mitchell was 58 pounds.

Mitchell

Mitchell is playing basketball right now and having a lot of fun. But last summer he was playing baseball and here is a cute photo of him. He tells me he wants to do soccer next. Matt has a blast trying out all these different sports with him.

Grant

I had such a hard time getting this photo. Grant would not stay in the stinking bear chair! He kept climbing out. He refuses to sit still anywhere!

We have lift off!

Grant has been pulling himself up for awhile now and he can cruise around the furniture pretty good. He is also obsessed with climbing all ready. He climbs up on the bear chairs, climbs up onto the dishwasher when it is open and recently onto our fire place.
But until yesterday he would NOT stand up by himself. He has a lot of strength but no balance by himself. Paige has been working with him every day and just now he has started to stand for a couple of seconds all by himself. He will do it for Paige more than for anyone else. He still has a ways to go though before he walking. I snapped a photo of him

yesterday standing by himself.

Paige's new obsession

Paige finds these new hobbies that she grabs ahold of. She doesn't ever do anything half way either. It was yoga a few months ago but now it is cooking. She LOVES to cook. She talks about cooking, she reads about cooking, and she begs me to cook something every day. She saved up her own money and bought herself a new cookbook. She will plant herself in the kitchen and do a whole recipe all alone. She has come up with some yummy stuff. Yesterday she fried her own eggs and they turned out pretty good!

Chocolate!

Grant got a hold of some chocolatethe other day and loved it! Look how happy he is!

Our West Coast Vacation!

We had so much fun on our trip. We went up the coast and spent the first night in Eureka. We went to the Samoa Cook House which was fun for the kids. It is an old logging place where they serve the food by bringing out big bowls of food and you get to serve yourself.

Then we went and saw the house Matt lived in until he was 5. We went on a little hike in the redwood Forrest. It was breath takingly beautiful and the kids didn't want to quit.

Then we went to the ocean and had a lot of fun there. We collected some cool black rocks and wrote our names in the sand. Poor Paige got wet and it was COLD!

After that we went up to Arcata and saw the town Matt lived in until he was 12. We drove his paper route and saw his elementary school and his home and lots of other cool places around there. It was so fun for him!

Then we went and saw Paul Bunyan. I remember seeing him when I was a little girl so that was fun for me! We got the kids some fun little souvenirs and took lots of fun photos!

Harry didn't like staying in the Hotels. He kept saying he wanted to go home and was very confused. Poor guy!

Then we finally made it to Travis and
Megan's house. The kids had so much fun together and all got along great! They played Transformers and had a yummy fondue party and stayed up late talking.

We also went and saw a bunch of beautiful sights. We hiked up to Beacon Rock and that was cold and windy but a very cool view. Went the a huge fish hatchery and the kids got to feed some HUGE fish. Then we went to see Mountmonth Falls which was SO cool.

Christmas 2007

We had such a great Christmas this year.

We had a blast sledding on Christmas Eve! Then Pat and Paul (Matt's Parents) came over and we had a nice dinner together and we did the nativity scene.
The kids were so excited they were jumping off the walls. Here is a photo of the kid getting ready for bed.

Here is Grant playing with his new toy!

We had a nice relaxing day and the kids had fun playing all day with their new toys and board games!
