Way to go Paige!
Paige got Student of the Month! She had her assembly today and insisted on dressing up for school. Dress, tights, church shoes....the whole bit. She is so funny sometimes. I am proud of her though. Her teacher said that one of the reasons she was chosen as SOTM was because she is always a good friend to everyone. As a mom that is always nice to hear!
Grant's first big owie
:( Grant grabbed a candle when I wasn't pay attention
and burnt his hand on Saturday. Poor guy.
It was hard to get a photo of his hand but I tried.

Changes in Harry and Grant
Well Grant is learning fun new things all the time. He is now waving at everyone. He also now insists on going down the hallway by holding onto the side of the wall and walking instead of his usual crawling. I am hoping this is a sign that he is ready to start trying to really walk. He has taken 1 step a few times now but usually he wont even try.
He also FINALLY got his top middle tooth in. He had 3 teeth come in on top but was missing one of the front ones which made him look a little goofy. Well the 4th top tooth came in this weekend so now Matt doesn't have to worry that he didn't have one anymore.
After bragging to a few people a couple of weeks ago about what a good and happy child Harrison was I got a reminder that kids can change on a dime. Someone came and kidnapped my sweet, easygoing Harry and replaced him with a monster. (just kidding....well not really) He has become stubborn, grouchy and persistent all at once. The other night when Matt tried to discipline him on something he yelled back to Matt, "Do not talk to me like that. Say sorry right now!" I had to leave the room to control my laughing because he sounded just like me! We are all hoping this is just a short phase and love him nevertheless.

Why I am thankful for blogs
I have had a few people in the last little bit ask me where I find time to blog. This always strikes me as funny because it takes what??? 10 minutes a few times a week to write what is going on in my life. I find the time cause I love to blog, as this is why...
1) Where else can I see a video of Dad snoring, Carter getting caught eating the gingerbread house, Joy learning how to crawl, and all the other fun things my family shares??
2) It's fun. I enjoy doing it. It doesn't take that much time and I have fun reading all the blogs.
3) It allows me to feel connected to friends and family members I don't get to see very often. I don't always have time to sit and call everyone all the time. But a quick look at their blog can update me what is going on in their family and in their lives.
4) The prophets have told us to record our lives. I don't spend ANY time scrap booking. Instead I copy and paste my blog into WORD and then print it out to but in a book. It is how I journal what is going on with my family and with my children. I think I will look back and be very grateful that I did.
5) I learn from other people's blogs. I have fun seeing what other families are doing and it inspires me to go out and try new things with my own kids. Also I learn from what other people are going through and are kind enough to share.

So Far....
Today we tore out the two walls, and the whole ceiling. (It had a false lowered ceiling that we ripped out.) We also got all the upper cabinets down. Then we got the new sheetrock up.
Here is a photo before we started, one during the process, and a current one where we left off. We have a lot left to go but we are so excited to get started on the whole project!
We started!
Well we started remodeling our kitchen today. We are in the process of demo right now. Wish us luck!

Round 3!
Well I took Grant and Harry back to the Dr today. They both still had ear infections. So Grant is on his 3rd round of antibiotics and Harry on his 2nd. If this antibiotic doesn't work for Grant then he too will be going to the ENT. I wish I could just get tubes in all three of their ears at once and get it over with.

All 6 of us!
Well Paige didn't want to feel left out so she came down with an ear infection too. That offically makes all six of us on antibiotics. Although Matt's sinus infection and my strep thoat are doing much better. I will be so happy when this winter is over!
Harrison's Birthday
Harrison's Birthday was yesterday! He had a great day. He does refuse to be 3 years old though and insists that he is 2??? Haven't figured that one out yet.
We had a CARS birthday for him. We went and had lunch with Matt and then that night everyone came over for cake and ice cream.
I tried to make a Dinoco cake but but it didn't really turn out cause I didn't have to time to do it right. But I tried and he loved it. He got a million toys and loved him new shoes Mimi bought him.
All day long today he has been playing with the cool Train set Nana and papa paul bought him just as she had predicted.
Happy Birthday Harry!
Paige's 9th Birthday
Paige had so much fun on her Birthday. She had her good friend Taylor come spend the night. For some reason we all got involved in a huge Nerf Gun war. It's a good thing we had enough guns for everyone. Taylor is the oldest of 5 girls in her family and thought this was so much fun.
The next morning I took Taylor and Paige to go see the Hannah Montana 3-D movie up in Stockton. It was crazy! Everyone was dressed up in HM gear and the line was out forever. But they had a lot of fun. Here is a photo of them at the movie theater with their 3-D glasses on.
Later that night we had Papa and Mimi and Tony and Traci over to open gifts. Paige is really into cooking so I got her a new apron. She even baked and decorated her own cake!
