Happy Easter

I love Easter.  I love anything that will give me a reason to celebrate the knowledge I have of our Savior Jesus Christ.  I love getting all dressed up and being together as a family.  Each year, a least since Savannah was born, we take a family picture of all of us Easter.  Some years we are just dressed in Sunday clothes and other years we try to coordinate what we are going to wear.  With two little girls who love matching dresses and a Daddy that loves to wear a matching ties his girls pick out.  Its not a difficult task.  After I took Savannah's pictures for her birthday, I feel in love with the mountains in the background and I wanted to make sure I got one of family with the famous Pikes Peak in the back ground.  Eric said it had to have snow on top, it looks cooler.  So Easter Sunday was the perfect opportunity.  I love them and I love my family.

Easter makes me love my family even more as I reflect on the gift of Eternal Life the Savior gave us. Family is something you have to work at.  It is hard and sometimes you efforts show very little reward.  Then you have those moments of joy when time stands still and you would trade anything for that moment.  This is when I realize the gift given to us by the Savior makes it all worth while.  If everything ended with death, why work so hard for family?...It doesn't end with death and that is why we seek that joy that can only come through our family.  So for me Easter means so much as it makes life be filled with joy in anticipation of something greater to come.

Savannah 6

Savannah is almost done with kindergarten.  It has been a wonderful growing year for her.  She is learning so much.  I am so amazed at how fast a mind can learn.  She is always looking for ways to help her teacher and other students in her class.  She is a great big sister and a wonderful babysitter.  She is taking ballet right now and love to come home and practice with her sister.  She has finally stopped sucking on her thumb, even though she didn't want to.  She gets so excited over all of the little things.  She has recently joined a running club.  She is so responsible around the house and helps me every chance that she gets.  I am still amazed at how much she remembers.  She is a great friend to everyone at school.  She loves to sing, dance and make each one of us laugh.  She has the sweetest heart and we love having her in our family.  I can't believe she is 6 years old.
