I wear you around my surrendered paunch
For the first time ever.
Freely, I sit here alone now, naked and beautiful,
The sweet autumn breeze, your exhale, caresses the deep ache of departure
Soothing  my questions of validity.
Because the evolution of the heart changes partners
By the second.
I have been blessed for a year.

1.30.2014

i saw you dance
in the eyes of the cat
a voyeur for just two seconds
and then i turned away and just imagined how you moved

i saw you glide over the cracked linoleum
arms raised flowing the a warn ocean breeze
your breasts and belly swell
of many new mothers

and your hips
those hips
so hypnotic
and the source of my adoration

O, how i could see you
with my closed eyes.

"mostly"

I watch your tail lights leave the lane
You don’t look back
I watch you walk down the corridor
Sometimes you like that
I hear soft quiet moans in the shower
When your pleasure overcomes you

I am your Daddy
Your friend
Sometimes, a great lover
Sometimes I feel I don’t know you at all

Mostly I know you are
Trying,
To be free
To be present
To be loved and adored
Accepted in a way
That your past will be erased
From your mind
And the minds of people

Who do not know

"below the bassline"

I walk below the bassline
Just below your heartbeat
We have shared the dream of violets
Blooming, castles and motes.

I take these dreams to the winter’s snow
The warmth I feel enough to shed
My clothes and bathe in the falling light
Alone.

"the fixer"

i drove the nail into the wall
like a plow going through a drift,
hung the pot and looked back, satisfied.

looking around the house
i see nails, bachelor nails. make do gett'r done nails, all about function,
not about grace or style.

and then i see you shaking your head
we are upset and then we laugh.

HELL!
i am not a bachelor anymore.
i smile.

"how gently . . . the assembly"

this unconventional love
censored love ordinary
together
we look
look away    together
in the dark albeit red flame
within all our colours
and tired oscillation’s
there is my fruitless quest for youth

expectation’s disguised in love
“what a man is”
“what a women needs”
written by people
read by people
believed by people
all this is very large to an old man
your old man
who in his heart sets you free to your
generation
praying you find a heart like mine and the body of
Priapus to keep your flame fed

"cherish the night"

where ever you are tonight
we could leave in the quiet wake

push off from the fear wharf
gently steam into a sunrise unknown

together
