Time Off

I am getting ready to start working only part time! Woot woot! I'm really excited and a little nervous. Things will be tight but we trust that the Lord will take care of us. I found out that as soon as you go part time any unused paid time off you lose. Well I found out I had over 80 hours of it so I told my work that I would be back in two weeks and start my part time then.
As a result Jack and I took a trip to New Mexico to see my parents. We had a great time. We just relaxed and grandma and grandpa were happy to play with Jack.
While we were there my mom and I went in to see a high school track meet. It was a lot of fun. It's been awhile since I've been and it was typical track weather; windy and chilly. It didn't disappoint though. The last race of the meet as usual was the best.
Jack and grandpa had a great time together. Dad watched him a couple of times while mom and I went to town or down to the pool.
On the way back I decided not to drive the whole way and stopped in Joseph City to see the other grandparents. Great grandpa Jack and baby Jack.
We had a really good time visiting with everyone. Jack sure missed his daddy and since then has wanted Cory to hold him and play with him a lot more.
This weekend was the APS family picnic. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad we were able to go. They had fun games, rides, and yummy food for everyone. Cory and I won two of the games. The best one was the egg toss.
We won this green frog for Jack. I think he liked it.
On the train that circled around the park. I think it's safe to say Jack liked this as well.
They had a couple of people doing caricatures for free. Cory and I have wanted to get one every time we go somewhere so we were excited to get one free.
Mother's Day was really great. I had these beautiful flowers and pretty bracelet given to me. At church they had all the men and children sing the closing song to the women which was also really neat. In Relief Society they had cheesecake and cupcakes for all the women to enjoy together. It was a great day.
I'm so grateful to be this little boys mom.
I had to get a picture of the two of them because they both looked so handsome!

Jack and I have been enjoying our time together and it will be hard to go back after being off for two weeks. Look at this little face. I could stare at it all day.
We are trying to get in all the fun we can while we are off and that includes seeing more cousins.

Still here

We are still here. I feel like I cannot keep up with this thing but I want to continue to post on here because one day I'm going to print it off and have a great journal with pictures.
Lots has happened since I last posted but here are a few highlights. Awhile back I told Cory we needed to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather before it got hot, so we decided to go on a hike. Desert hiking is a little different. There is not much shade, lots of cactus and rattlesnakes (which I'm glad we didn't see although several people on the way down told us they were on the path just a few hundred feet down.) I clung to Cory the whole way down.

The view was really pretty and Jack even had a good time.

At the top there is a little pool area and petroglyphs. They were pretty fun to see.

We tried to enjoy the nice weather especially because it is starting to warm up and we will be hunkered down inside with the AC on.
Dayna and Justin were sealed in the end of March. It was such a beautiful sealing and they are expecting a little girl. I'm so happy for them and can't wait to see that sweet baby.
Cory and I did the Stunt Run with Tom and his wife Erin. (Tom and Cory and in the CM major and have almost every class together.) It was a fun race. It was like wipeout in a race form.
Jack and Dixie. We love hanging out with our cousins.
Easter came and Jack had a fun time playing with some cars the Easter Bunny brought him.
The end of April me and a few of Heidi's friends through a mustache baby shower, It turned out so well. She only has about two weeks and I'm so excited to see baby Caleb. He is going to be so cute!
The party favor was my contribution and after watching a youtube video I learned how to make tags.
And finally here is a cute picture of Jack in his hat because who doesn't want to see that cute face.

Catch Up

It has been way to long since I posted anything. Once I started back to work I have found that time is precious and I don't have much extra. As a result this blog is going to be a lot of pictures of the past 3 months.
October we headed up to Utah for Cory's mission reunion and to visit with a family that was here from Russia that he knew. I forgot to put up those pictures but we had a great time and Jack did great on the plane ride up there.

We blessed Jack on Oct 12, 2014.

Cousins were born a month apart blessed on the same day!

Trunk or Treat costume and below is the Halloween party costume. Jack was Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk. Cory was the beanstalk and I was the cow.
Time out for women in November. We had such a good time.

Jack went to his first parade. So patriotic.
We bought a new to us car. We love it!
We spent Thanksgiving in New Mexico and had a great time with my family. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of Jack's first Thanksgiving but he liked the potatoes and coolwhip!
At the beginning of December Jack one day had little red bumps pop on his hands and face. Then it all of the sudden started spreading all over him. Poor guy was pretty miserable for a good two days but it only lasted about a week and he was a trooper.

December came and went so quickly. We had a great time with Cory's family and Jack's first Christmas.

The day after Christmas we headed out to California to enjoy the beach.

Jack liked the water but it was a little cold for him.

So cute in is little beach clothes and shoes!

New Years whipped cream eating contest.
And just one more picture of Jack because he is so cute!
