Giddy with Excitement

I'm not yet ready to post about the horror that was our drive home from Utah, but I must rave about the bright spot on my trip; the Williams-Sonoma outlet in Primm, NV. I have literally been waiting months to shop there. I saved all our WS wedding gift cards and have been wishing for a reason to drive that way. Bless you, Thanksgiving.

I was totally overwhelmed when I walked in. My eyes kept darting to each new display and I did the necessary survey lap of the store before committing things to my cart. 90 minutes and 3 huge shopping bags later I left the store. Aaron's eyes were like saucers when he saw everything wrapped and ready to go. I am thrilled with my purchases and planning my next trip! Thank you Sis. L. for telling me about this treasure!

Snuggie Time

Aaron surprised me with a Snuggie last night. There is no doubt he was more excited to give it than I was to recieve it. I have nothing against Snuggies, but Aaron was supremely keyed up about it. Since they are one size fits all it is way too big for me and I can't really move in it, so I couldn't wear it to a sporting event as the box suggests. It should compliment stationary activities nicely, however. It fits Aaron perfectly. I think I'd like my Snuggie at the movies. I'm always cold there. Anyway, the Snuggie will be coming with us for Thanksgiving. A Snuggie road trip. Oh boy.

ditto, brother

my body can't believe you did it again, but my mind can. i love that you've crossed over into the crazy world of endurance runs which excite and terrify me. a huge congrats on qualifying for western states! good luck with the lottery. i hope to be cheering you on in june!!!

To know Lloyd Dobbler is to love him

I can't believe Say Anything has been out for 20 years. When Aaron and I were at the theater the other night we were amazed at the ridiculous movies coming out. Classics like this are few and far between now. I know I'm an old soul and love old movies, but if you haven't seen this one you are missing out. How could you resist this? "What I really want to do with my life - what I want to do for a living - is I want to be with your daughter. I'm good at it." We love you, too, Lloyd.

gross

this is called a belly cake. i'm co-hosting a baby shower and was browsing the internet for cupcake decorating ideas and ran into this. by saying what i think of this cake i run the risk of offending someone who has had or would like to have a cake like this for their baby shower. to you i apologize. however, it looks weird and i can't imagine cutting into and eating part of a cake that represents a growing fetus.

be kind to peds

Because I take public transportation each day I spend a lot of time walking the streets of San Diego and La Mesa. Regularly I am this close to being hit by a car when I very much have the right of way. I pray for my safety each day when I leave the house and I that is a very sincere prayer. I could go on for a long time about how annoyed I am with drivers who pay no attention to pedestrians because they cannot remember the last time they got out of their car and walked somewhere. I wish I lived in a community where not driving was the norm. Suffice it to say I thoroughly enjoyed this article. Read it and remember walkers are not the bad guys.
