Easter Sweety!

Here is my beautiful little girl in her Easter best.

 (What a ham!)

Daddy and Daughter
  (one of my favorites)

Mommy and her Girl
We had a great Easter.  We visited Adam's dad and his wife. They watched Naomi so that we could have out April date.  We visited a new church which was a bit different. But then it was Easter Sunday I am betting not many services were typical.  Then we had a wonderful Easter lunch with some of Adam's family.  We hope your Easter was a time of celebration of the amazing gift God gave us through Jesus' death and Resurrection.

Look who is 3!

My my how time has passed!  It seems only yesterday that I woke up at 5 am thinking I needed to use the bathroom, only to figure out I was having contractions!  We have come a long way.
My baby is now a little girl.
You are so independent!
So tender hearted and loving.
You are a social butterfly who loves to see people and who doesn't know a stranger.
You give the BEST hugs.  I love it how you run into my arms when I come home.
You are my little book worm.
You love to dance and sing and dress up in your Aurora dress.
You love your stuffed Kitty and take her almost everywhere with you.
Rubia is your "sweetheart" and your buddy, hardly ever are you two separated.
You are so much more a girl than a baby or toddler.
I love you!

(This was supposed to be posted on her birthday, but blogger hiccuped or I just did not set it up right.  But better late than never right?)

Family game night

Now that we are in a small town that is about 45 minutes from anywhere we are lacking a TV signal.  Especially now that everything is digital.  Sometimes I wish we could go back to the fuzzy signal just so that I can watch something. But it is a good exercise in using our creative juices to entertain ourselves and Naomi each evening.  We went through a phase were we watched a lot of movies.  But now we are doing a better job of branching out.  I think that has to do with the fact that we can go outside.

Now to the good part.  One of Adam's favorite games is Carcassonne.  Adam and I typically play while we are waiting for Naomi to finish eating (she is a super slow eater). However, one night she saw us get the game out and she scarfed down the rest of the food.  So we decided to let her play.  While the strategy part was a bit above her she enjoyed playing with the "little men,"  counting points, naming colors,  and identifying what was on the cards.

She ended up "wining" the game. Mostly because she had both mommy and daddy helping her.  And we did not want to ruin any of her "strategies."

Hopefully for her birthday we will be getting some more child friendly games for her.

Finding Nemo

The major attraction for our trip was the aquarium.  We had heard many great things about it.  Since Adam was the only one at the training the instructor let him out a little early one day so we could go and have a little more time.

We spent quite a while there.  Naomi loved watching the fish. They had areas where you could touch some sea creatures.  I tried to catch some shrimp but they did not cooperate with me.  Naomi did not mind touching the water surface...but she would go no deeper than that (unless she was assisted a lot).

When you ask her what her favorite part was.  "I found NEMO (and Dory)" is her response.

She also loved the shark tank.

She was very concerned that we should be quite.

They also had some beaver and otters.  She was uncertain abut the he beaver.  But she LOVED the otters.

I am not sure why but there was a short period of time when she had to have her hands over her ears.  The aquarium was very quite.  But I guess she thought the fish were going to make a loud noise.

This was a place that you could touch stingrays and baby sharks. The stingrays were quite friendly.  They liked to splash.
