Blessing #34 lunchtime entertainment

Look what I found today! I noticed this small flower in our yard shortly after grumbling about the cold wind that we have had the last few days. It was a reminder that Spring will be here soon. After seeing it the wind did not seem quite so bitter cold.

Blessing #32 A job well done


My girl had just finished her puzzle, and took time to admire her work.   This was a puzzle that she had done this puzzle numerous times, yet she took time to admire her work.  This made me think... Maybe I should so this a little more. Usually as I do my daily tasks as I finish one task I simply move on to the next item on my list.  I bet I would get more satisfaction out of my work if I took time to appreciate my work.  Even the menial chores that seem to fill my to do list.  So today I swept the floor then after I was finished I took just the extra second to admire my work.  It did feel good!

If you think about it God did the same thing.  It says numerous times in the creation story that God declared things "Good."  To declare something good he would have had to have taken time to examine the finished product.  Something to think about!


 I will be dwelling on this thought but I am too tired to type any more tonight. This post just turned into a lot more than I thought it would.  Hopefully I can get in to it more tomorrow! Please share your thoughts...

Today Bethany accomplished another milestone! of course I dd not catch it on my camera. but i have caught her working up to it.



PS What do you think of the new look?  I am thinking I might change it again. Back to a new shoe picture with 4 shoes. What do you think?

I had an over abundance of glass jars.  So I looked for some inspiration on Pintrest.   I found some one who made a "calm down jar" or something like that. Basically the purpose was that when a child got angry they would shake the jar then watch until all the glitter settles.  I am sure this works for some children/people.  I just wanted to make the glitter jar because it looks fun.

• I filled the jar half full with hot water.  
• Then added some glitter glue (I just squeezed a little of each color we have. It probably totaled 2 Tbs)
• Fill to about 3/4 with more hot water and shake to mix.
• Add some regular glitter (I used some "bigger" glitter That there would be different sizes.)   I used what fell of a previous art project It might total another 2 Tbs. Feel free to add more.
• I added blue food coloring and finished filling the jar with hot water.

Note: By using hot water the jar will seal once it has sat for a while. The jar will get a little warm to the touch so you may want to have a hot pad on hand just in case it gets too hot.
Also I think some of the glitter also died the water a little, I died ours a light blue and now it is a purple color.

Blessing # 28: Naomi exercising her crafty side.
As I am typing this Naomi is sitting across from me using the beads she got from Santa to make a necklace. It is so much fun to watch. 

This post is late in the making too.  Oh well, Bethany has been trying to become mobile. However it seems that she does not want to crawl.  She will push herself up into a crawling position but then she ends up scooting backwards. She usually ends up under the couch...

Although I think she is getting a little annoyed with it now.  Now she scoots away from everything (hence the scooting issues she was having in the last post).  She is now quite proficient of scooting around on her bottom.  It is pretty crazy to see her moving like that.

Blessing# 27 Creativity starts early.

Our move is accomplished... we have been in our house for a little over a week. But I just got around to cleaning off my camera.  So here is the official we are moving picture!

My parents did the same thing when we moved!  Although they put me and my sister in an wardrobe box and wrote "Abu Dhabi or bust" all over it. (My family loved Garfield.)

On this Day Bethany was having scooting issues and I was trying to pack some of the kitchen, So I put her in a box with some toys. She loved it neither her nor the toys moved.  Then big sister wanted to join so she got in a box and played as well. I think I have a picture like this of every move!I will have to put them all together someday! Just for fun!

Blessing # 26: We are done moving!

Naomi loves to dress up!  Usually it is a princess dress.  She does have her favorite outfit!


Even when she is not playing dress up she is usually found waring a dress with all the accessories...























Hmmm things have not changed much.
