The other day I was talking to my friend Kelly. She told me how she thought is was so funny how all the FTMOB posts are about Jesus. Then when it was snowing yesterday Belle said something so funny and I wanted to put it on here. Then I started laughing because guess what? It's all about Jesus. So Kelly, I dedicate this one to you....
I looked out the window and said "Belle look how much it is snowing." She looked out and said "Mom, we are in a real snow globe and Jesus is shakin us all up."
I just wish you could hear how she said it, that makes it even funnier.
The picture above is at the lights at Willard Bay. It's awesome if you haven't ever been. At the end they have reindeer. I stayed in the car with Barnes while Aaron took Belle and Reeve to see the deer. When they got back in the car I asked them what they thought. Belle said "one was eating, and one was peeing."
Guess I didn't miss anything.

A Late Thanksgiving Post
So I figured since Christmas is but a few days away, I best post some Thanksgiving pictures. Aaron's family all came here to Utah for Thanksgiving. We were lucky to have Aaron's sister Stacy and her family stay here with us. They are honestly LOADS of fun!! My favorite trips to Target ever have been with Stacy!! (you know exactly what I mean Stacy) :)
We had Thanksgiving dinner at Aaron's sisters house, Wendy. Lot's of yummy, yummy dinner and desserts. But most of all fantastic company.
We played Pictionary, boys vs girls.
Aaron's mom is serious business during this game. Just kidding. She was excited we got the answer right.
Belle and Grace voted Uncle John most popular guy of the night. (Grace is one day older than Belle, how fun is that?)
On Friday we had family pictures scheduled. The weather was stressing me out big time. It was supposed to be rainy that day. During the pictures the weather ended up being perfect! This is how they turned out.....
Love you guys!
We have so much to be thankful for. I gave the Christmas lesson in YW today. We read a bunch of Christmas stories. I was reminded again of how blessed I am. From the gospel and two wonderful families, right down to warm clothes and a place to sleep. We are truly blessed.

Joy To The World
.....So Aaron went out one night looking for the cable. He literally spent hours going to every store in the good ole Cache valley. We ended up ordering it online. It still hasn't arrived. However, we left town over the weekend and we were able to purchase one somewhere else. We FINALLY have the video!! Hope it is worth the wait. Enjoy.

bébé trends boutique
My fabulous friend Michelle made the adorable hat's that Belle is wearing in her pictures. She is starting a business called "bébé trends boutique" She is amazingly talented at pretty much everything, and is one of the most beautiful people I know inside, and out! Thanks Michelle.

Stinkin Technology!

I am feeling the pressure! All this hoopla about the lights and we still haven't posted the video. If it isn't one thing it is another. At first we blew a few fuses. Then yesterday we went to record and the battery on the camera was dead, of course. Tonight the battery was fully charged and Aaron made the video. So what could go wrong now?? Is that what your thinking? Well, since we last downloaded video we had to get a new computer due to the other one crashing. So when we went to download the video we didn't have the right cable to fit the new computer. Why in the world isn't there some kind of standard cable or something? Stinkin Technology! So I will be on my way out tomorrow to get one that will work.
Check back to find out what
17 net lights
41 extension cords
71 strands of lights
and a partridge in a pear tree
look like!

From The Mouth Of Belle
I was having a fun conversation about Christmas with Belle. She was telling me some of the things she wanted to ask Santa for. Then she asked me what I was going to ask him for. I said "for my children to not be so naughty." She started laughing and said "you can't ask Santa for that, you'll have to ask Jesus for that one."
Then we both started laughing. She has a sense of humor way beyond her five years!
(not only is Belle dressing herself, she now dries her own hair too!)

Thumbs Up
So I know I have slacked and haven't even put my movie review up yet. Yes I did see the show. Just like a lot of your comments I went in not expecting too much. Movie's never seem to be as good as the book. Twilight was defiantly not as good as the book. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I likey! I thought it was quite good. We went with a bunch of friends, husbands included. We dropped them off to wait in line while we went and picked up Cafe Rio. The ladies in back of them in line actually asked them if they were gay. What great sports. The boys even seemed to enjoy the flick. I will be going again. Thumbs up.
That was a crazy fun weekend. The night before that my fabulous mother came up to watch the kids so that Aaron could take me out for my birthday. Then she watched them again while we went to the movie. We haven't been on a date in many moons. Two in one weekend, rockstars! Thanks Aaron for keepin the love alive.
(Belle is really into dressing herself right now.)
Then can anyone guess how we spent the rest of the weekend? That's right, putting up Christmas lights. I promise that the video is going to be on here really soon.

Tis The Season
Let there be light! For the last two Saturdays we have been working on the lights. I decided to document the work. It takes so much time!! But we love it.
This is what takes the most time. These rows of lights are just some of the white ones. We lay them out and try to fix the dead ones. So far we have only had to chuck one totally dead strand.
Even Barnes wanted in on the action. He kept rolling off his blanket and into the lights. He had a great time. We still have a lot to do. We best get rolling. Only about two weeks until the lights are on.

The Big 9
My baby boy hit nine months old yesterday. Oh craziness! Where does the time go. I have to say that I think I was blessed with the three best babies ever! Happy, Happy , Happy all the time! (This is a trade off for all the crazy times they give in the years to come) :)
Barnes could not be any more sweet. He has been trying to crawl for about the past month and a half. He gets himself in the push up position and just holds himself straight up. It is so funny. Then he lets himself down when he realizes that he isn't getting anywhere. Well today he made a bit of progress. He was in the push up position and moved one leg in and then the other. That's as far as he went, two little crawls. We will give it another go tomorrow. So exciting for all the new firsts. And also a little scary to have another one on the go.
Our little guy is not a fan of baby food. I have a feeling he will be a steak and potato kind of guy. He wants everything we have. I finely chop up things that we are eating and he goes nuts! I don't blame him. Who wants a turkey dinner from a jar?
Even Reeve is lovin the little guy. He used to not pay much attention to Barnes, but he has taken a recent interest. This is after Reeve got done applying mascara to Barnes. I was just two steps behind him.
Recently when Barnes was sleeping I noticed Reeve was suddenly MIA. I saw the nursery door open and this is what I found. Reeve when in and climbed in the crib to wake up Barnes. As you can see they are both loving every minute of it.
Too fun! Happy 9 months Barnes. We love, love, love you.

Lions, Tink, and Buzz, Oh My
We started our Halloween out this morning by having orange pancakes.
Barnes liked them!
Next I struggled to get Reeve into his costume and into the car. We headed to Macy's to do their trick or treating thing for the kids. Then to a few other places.
After lunch all three kids crashed and took good naps. Next on the agenda was dinner.
Me and Belle made Mummy Dogs. Aunt Christy sent us the fun idea. They were also "yummy dogs." haha
Then we got ready to head out with some friends. Once again we struggled to get Reeve into his costume. We got it on video this time. Any of you within a mile radius could probably hear him yelling "no Buzz, no Buzz."
We just made it out the front door and here he is ripping off the goggles. I even tried to distract him with a sucker. Oh well. Even without the hat and goggles this Buzz costume is so darn cute, and so is little Reeve. Thanks goes to cousin Coop for the costume.
Tinkerbell is all about costumes and camera's. She looked so cute and she was so excited. After I put the glitter on her face she looked in the mirror and said "what a mess." But she didn't want me to take it off. I thought I did a swell glitter job.
This is the friendliest lion I have ever heard off. He was happy as could be with all that fur around his cute little face. He plugged along with us all night sweet as ever of course.
Hayley,Emmie,Belle, Anna. We all had such a fun night!
Reeve and Emmie have gotten to be great buddies.
Happy Halloween to all..........and to all a good night!

The Final Countdown
Well, the big election day is not far away. Aaron and I have already taken the opportunity to vote. Glad we don't have to wait in line on Tuesday!! I decided maybe I could put a fun little somethin here on the blog each day until election day. This is a fun one. Things are so tense right now with the election, so I thought I should lighten things up a bit. I hope you enjoy this clip as much as I did. My friend Kami sent this one to me. Thanks for the laugh.

Granny Andersen and Granny Quiggle
We had a Halloween party for the Young Women. Some of the girls tell me and my friend Angie that we are old on a pretty regular basis. One of the reasons might be because we have a rule about music in the car. They get to pick their music on the way to wherever we are going, and they have to suffer through ours on the way back. So we have a great time torturing them with classics such as Chicago, Johnny Cash, U2, soundtracks from our favorite movies, Aerosmith.....on and on. As much as they say they hate it, we know they love it. They will even say "so, what was the name of that song? Who sings it?" You know they are going home to download them to their ipods. This is only one of the reasons they insist on calling us old. So for our Halloween party we decided, "we'll give em old!"
Good times! The girls loved it. We stayed in character all night. I think me and Angie had a better time than the girls did. We cracked ourselves up. It was so much fun.
If any of you are in need of a lime green moo moo, you can find them on the Family Dollar clearance rack.
Me and Angie made these yummy cupcakes for the occasion. Thanks be to my dear friend Rebecca for the idea, because we totally copied! Thanks for the idea's. The cupcake walk was a success.

You Met Who?
Aaron and I went to a costume party and you'll never guess who we met.
That's right, the Clinton's. They were campaigning here in Nibley and stopped by for a bite to eat.

Hornets Beware
We didn't want the day to go by without a tid bit of drama. I was going in the house with Reeve and he was holding onto the railing going up the front steps. He started screaming and he was holding his hand. I looked on the rail and there were a couple of hornets or wasps or whatever you want to call them. I looked at his hand and sure enough he got stung. I picked him up and carried him inside. I also started having flashbacks. Belle got stung the same way the first week of school. We headed out the door to go to school and she held onto the railing on her way down the stairs and ran her hand right into one. By this time I was ticked at the hornets so I went and grabbed the fly swatter and hoped they would be there when I got back. And they were....let's just say that I took out all of my pent up hornet anger from the summer out on these two hornets! And let me also say that it felt great. Hornets beware, don't mess with my kids.

Down Memory Lane
The last time Aaron's parent were here they brought up a bunch of Aaron's things that were stored at their house. So they have been sitting in the garage for a while. We decided to go through them the other night. Who would have thought that going through a bunch of old boxes could be so fun.
Throughout the pictures Aaron will be sporting his Twin Peaks Middle School Class of 92 t-shirt. He's grown a little since then.
Just in case Aaron forgets his name he will be wearing his Office Max name tag. This is where he worked during his freshman year of college.
Does anyone remember Sally Jesse Raphael? I think she started the trend with those reading glasses.
Then there are those brass knuckles that Aaron purchased in Tijuana. Maybe he needed them in case he ran into trouble at Twin Peaks.
This is Aaron's senior year football helmet. He had to pull some padding out to get it to fit on his head again. Maybe Reeve should start wearing it to prevent any future injuries.
Yep, that's a retainer. It is still on the mold of his teeth. I told Aaron he needs to tell his parents sorry for wasting the money they spent on a retainer that was never used.
I got a kick out of the letter he is holding. I wish I could post the whole thing on here. It was sent to his parents with a dollar for him on it. It said thanks for letting us interview you son about candy. He did some kind of phone survey about it. Aaron is almost positive that this was once in a frame on his wall.
This Christmas toilet paper was my favorite find of the night. I have never seen it anywhere in my life before....except at my Grandma's house! Remember how I said she loved Christmas? She decorated right down to the toilet paper.
We got such a kick out of going through these boxes. I heard a lot of new stories and had some serious laughs! Good times.

What I Almost Didn't Tell You...

I was a little embarrassed to publish this post because this has happened so often lately. However, when Reeve calls me up 25 years from now and says "Mom, what am I going to do with my boys?" I will say "Reeve, let me read a little passage from our family blog book. It is dated October 1, 2008. Today we had to take Reeve to the ER again." I will then tell him the story about how he made a massive mess with his oatmeal all over the counter. As I was cleaning it up he had a "few" minutes to himself. He came into the kitchen and told me "mommies snack." Then he pulled on my hand to come with him. He led me to my bathroom. We have a closet that we keep a bunch of stuff in. When I walked into the bathroom there was an orange pill bottle on the ground with little white pills spilt all over the floor. I picked it up and it was some leftover nausea pills from my last pregnancy. I didn't even know they were in there. Well he climbed up and found them somewhere. And the bottle was childproof, not Reeve proof. I was sure he had taken at least one but I had no idea how many. So I called Aaron at work, and he called poison control. They said we needed to take him to the ER since we didn't know how many he took. So Aaron came and took him. I knew the pills were starting to take effect because he has never sat so still in his whole life. They monitored him for two hours. His heart rate and blood pressure stayed normal. He probably only ate one. And he took one long nap! I do believe the reason I stopped taking them when I was pregnant was because they made me too tired.
I have always heard people say to get rid of old meds....why do I always end up learning the hard way?
Reeve is the most curious little boy. We have had so many of these stories. Reeve is also the sweetest little thing. He never forgets to give me a "thank you mommy" no matter what it is that I do for him. He always has to have a hug from Belle before she walks into her Kindergarten class. Her teacher always likes to watch this. When he gets into bed at night he will repeat hug, hug, hug, or kiss, kiss , kiss until everyone has hugged and kissed him. That makes our long and sometimes rough days alright.

Thankful Thursday
So I have been a slacker at the blog lately, especially where Thankful Thursday is concerned. Well today it is back!
My Grandma Harris passed away last week. She was the grandma of all grandma's! I have so many good memories with her. One of my favorite's was our camping trips as kids. My grandparent's used to load up the trailer and take all 9 of us grand kids camping! Just them and us. It scares me to even think of taking my own three. But year after year they would load us all up and we would have the time of our lives!
My Grandma's favorite time of year is Christmas! In preparation for the holidays she listened to Christmas music 12 months of the year. My favorite song being "Dancin The Christmas Polka." Ever since I can remember we spent Christmas Eve at their house. We came up with the best traditions ever! We would have a bingo game with prize's! Sometimes that could get quite heated when people were after a hot item. Then we would have a hilarious white elephant game. Everyone trying to come up with the funniest gift. You knew when you married into the family that Christmas Eve..... required!
Grandma was the best seamstress ever! Over the years she has made us all so many special things. She has made us multiple quilts. They have little tags on them that say "Made with love by Grandma." She made us Care Bears, Pound Puppies, and clothing for our Cabbage Patch dolls. She has embroidered sets of dishtowels for each of us, and crochet around receiving blankets and burpers. These items were always a hot item at the bingo games. Grandma always had such high hopes for me to be a seamstress. She even gave me a fancy pair of scissors with my name engraven on them. Talents like this I wish were hereditary. Somehow these talents have managed to skip me. I am so grateful to have so many treasures.
I always thought that us grand kids were treated so special. Then I had kids. And boy did my Grandma love the great grand kids! She absolutely loved having a baby in her arms, and that was the best place to be!

Recent Happenings
Well today started out pretty much like every other day. I decided that it was time to post a few pictures of our recent happenings. This morning Reeve took off running down the hall and The wood stair railing must have jumped right out in front of him. I have no idea how but he managed to hit it square on. I calmed him down and then it was bath time. I put him in and first thing he stood right up, and went right back down on his head.
I took a picture after the bath you can kinda see the red lump on the left side of the head from the tub incident.
You might also notice a little something on his lip. That would be a mark left from the fat lip he got last week. Belle went to pick him up from behind and picked him up to low. He swung forward and smashed his mouth on the ground (or so the story goes). Not good. His teeth and gums didn't look so good so we ended up making a trip to the dentist. Luckily things looked good on the x-rays.
I decide to put a little slide show together in honor of "The Flood Of 08." I was in the shower in the very same bathroom. I heard something and looked out of the shower. Reeve turned the water on in the tub and had his hands in it. No biggie. I hurried and finished my shower, no longer than a minute tops! I walked out to this flood. The pictures do it NO justice. You would not believe all the water. There was so much that it went out into the carpet over a foot. It took all those towels to soak it up.
You are seeing things correctly. This is the dishwasher rack taking a spin down the hallway.
While I'm at it i will throw one more in. just for the heck of it. This is what ONE chocolate chip looks like after Reeve is done with it.
Wow, I am worn out just posting this stuff. I just keep thinking about all the health scares Reeve had this summer. I am reminded of how grateful I am that he can walk, run, play, and get into little boy trouble! Most of the time I can usually get a good laugh.

Baby Teeth
I can't get enough of this grin. I took this picture two weeks ago the day Barnes cut his first tooth. I had been checking every day for about a month. This was the big day. As you can see he is really happy about it. The other tooth was only about a day behind. Luckily all of my kids have had an easy time teething. Check out those cute cheeks.
He loves his little Bumbo. His favorite thing right now is to try and crawl out of it. He thinks he's pretty cool if he can. The only problem is that his chunky legs can get wedged in there and it sticks to him. Pretty funny. So sweet.

76 or 77..That Is The Question
My Grandma threw a birthday party for my Grandpa this past weekend. On the invitation she wrote 76th and then told me she made a mistake and he was going to be 77. So I made him a cake and proceeded to buy him some cute candles that made a 77. I was making the cake at my moms and she saw the candles and said "he's 76." I told her "he thinks he's 77." So she went over to the family tree hanging on the wall and we calculated up the years, and sure enough he is 76! When we got there we informed him that he was a year younger than he thought. He found that pretty funny. I asked him what he was in such a hurry for. I wish someone would inform me that I was a few years younger! So I didn't get to use my candles and used this fountain thingy instead.
I don't know why I tried to Ace Of Cakes it again. I had a harder time this time than I did the first. I did make the cake out of rice crispy treats instead of cake, so it is a bit lumpy. It was kinda fun though. I thought the kids would enjoy eating it that way. I learned a few new things so hopefully it will go smoother next time.
Happy 76th to Grandpa!
