In the apartment where I live and office from, there has been a great number of newly arriving Iraqi Refugee families. Therefore, we re-opened our clothing closet and made a lot of special new friends in the process. On Fridays, we meet for Tea Time so they can practice their English as we discuss community development topics.
*We need winter clothes and warm coats for ALL sizes!
The pictures below are from our Thanksgiving Celebration with the ladies and their kids... Tea Time!
p.s. this is a tea set that I brought back from Turkey several years ago. The women were impressed!
Me in the kitchen, what a concept! Ha!
Group picture, well an attempt at it anyways!
The Iraqi women brought all the food, and us American women provided Pepsi and salad! Ha ha!
The kids were off school that day, so they joined us.
p.s. this is a table cloth that I brought back from Peru this summer, it was fun to get to use it!
After lunch, the kids drew pictures of the things they were thankful for.
Then I got some of the pictures as gifts, awh, so sweet!
Then the sugar RUSH hit and we said goodbye! HA!
