Preschool Christmas Party
Craft day at Fenna's
On Tuesday the girls and I went to our friend's house and had a little Christmas craft day. We started off with making hair bows and the kiddos colored cute little nativities that Fenna pick up for them all. Then we ate a delicious artichoke dip and bean soup...yummmo! After lunch, the kids decorated sugar cookies and we made fleece scarfs for the girls. Thanks Fenna and Rachel!

They Crack Me Up!
One great thing about being a mother is seeing your kids trying to make you laugh. Emi is still learning on how to master the art of being a comedian, but is actually really silly. Miya is almost a master at making me laugh. Here are a few pics that illustrate this:
Emi doing a pose being silly-willy.
Miya singing in the bath while watching herself in the facet.
This one is my favorite because it's classic Miya. What really tops off this photo is that she's sitting on her little couch only in her undies.

Thanksgiving week in Las Vegas
Thanksgiving week we went to Las Vegas to spend the holiday with our families. We had tons of fun singing tons of songs around the piano with mom playing and Brendon holding the pitch (everything from Aladdin to Beatles to Les Mis). We ate a bunch and even ended up going riding. It was a lot of fun and we are grateful for our wonderful families. We didn't take our camera so I stole these few shots from Kara's blog. Can't wait for Christmas.

Congratulations Mason!
I just wanted everyone know that Mason passed his Masters exams yesterday!!! I'm so proud of Mase for all his hard work that he puts into his school work, his family, his seminary class, and his many other endeavors. He really is an amazing man, who has it all: Good looks, sense of humor, incredibly smart, and the list goes on. (I got so lucky) I'm so grateful that he knows how to balance his life so we can have a happy family.
Love ya Mase! Congratulations!

Fun Filled Weekend
On Friday we went to China Beach again...
Posing again with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
Girls building a sand castle.
Saturday:
We started our morning off with a 2 hour hike through the Berkeley Hills with our ward.
Then...We went to Stinson Beach.
It was a lot longer of a drive than we were expecting. The drive was beautiful, but it was full of windy roads, so Miya got car sick on the way up and Emi got sick and threw up on the way home. Besides the drive, it was a fun trip and we enjoyed playing in the freezing cold water.
The view from the drive.
Miya running to get water for the sand castle.

Thank you to Mike and Bille
A couple weeks ago our friends Mike and Bille took some family pictures of us.
Thank you so much!

I like this picture...(my jaw and neck look a little scary though)

Emi was being clingy, mostly because it was freezing cold!

Did I mention it was windy too?

I love this family shot! (great depth of field)

Cat in the Hat
Ward Halloween Party
This is a little late posting this, but with Halloween being tomorrow, I figured you all might enjoy seeing our family dressed like Fancy Nancy's family (From the Children's Book). Last Friday was our ward Halloween party and everyone dresses up! I don't think one person at the party knew what we were, but Miya and Emi loved it, so I think it was a great last minute costume.

Carving Pumpkins
For FHE tonight we carved our $1 pumpkins that we got at the Village pumpkin sale. We teamed up...the girls drew the faces and Mase and I did the carving.

Goodbye Oil Dependence!
You know, living here in Berkeley we have become more "green," more aware of the environment and the energy crisis. This is why Miya's recent introduction of an innovative form of transportation so excited us. I am not sure if it is pure arm and leg-powered or if it is hybrid and switches to flatulence but either way Miya was really scooting across the kitchen floor in her new Model-T tupperware car. It can be a little drafty in the back but we recommend everyone switch to Miya's idea.

Rock Bank Live Concert!
Last night we got to go the Rock Band Live Concert with Dashboard Confessionals, and of course, Panic at the Disco. Brendon did an amazing job once again! Here are a couple pics that I took.
Our friends: Rob, Sharon, Mike, and Bille
One of my favorite part of the concert when Brendon went from playing the piano to...
Rockin it out on the drums! Such a talented guy!
