I haven't been able to sleep the past couple of nights very well. I find myself staying up way to late, and awaking before the break of dawn. Granted some of those days I have an alarm set for my long runs, but like today I woke up with no reason. Laying awake in bed for hours seems pointless to me when I can be getting so much done while the rest of the house is still sleeping. Mike and I are leaving our kids for a week and going to Hawaii today, and I kinda think that is the main culprit for my insomnia. I have such a hard time leaving home, Mike thinks I am a little silly, but it really is so hard for me. My 3 little ones are my world, that is what I do 24 hours a day, I am their #1. It is hard sometimes, and I go a little crazy and wonder what I got myself into, but it is times like these that I realize how much they are a part of me and who I am. Ahh, I have butterflies in my tummy, and tears in my eyes. Bless my parents for watching them while I am gone, it is such a peaceful thought to know that they are in such good hands. My parents are such wonderful people, and I couldn't ask for better more loving and supportive parents and grandparents for my children. I think that each of my children feel like and think that they are their favorite, and isn't that just how if ought to be? Ok I can't get started here or I will be a complete mess. All I can say is that I have the most wonderful parents in the world, and the very sweetest children ever, and I am going to miss them so very much. I will miss my Boo, Char Man, and Bubba, your mommy loves you more than words.

Healthy Dinner with a whole lot of Yum!

Top Sirloin steak, Blue Cheese Lettuce Wedge, Asparagus, Yellow and Green Zucchini, with Sweet 100 Cherry's sautéed in garlic olive oil and fresh basil. Every thing here is fresh except for the steak. Our cute neighbors row asparagus in their garden and occasionally they have more than they can eat and bring it to us. How lucky are we. Our garden has been extremely bounteous. Gardening is so fun when you can reap what you sew.

5th percent in height, 2nd in weight!

Elliot is starting to move up on the charts. We just went in for his quarterly CF clinic. All looks well, and they were very happy with how he looks, and amazed at how active he is. They said that they were exhausted just watching him buzz around the room. They still want him to be higher on the charts, so we need to still boost the power packed foods. Any ideas? As for now, I am just grateful that the visit is over. I hate it when they have to draw his blood, only 2 pokes this time, but still quite painful for me and mainly him. He must think that I am so evil. Oh yeah he got his flu shot as well. Man, rough morning for such a little guy. Let this be a reminder to you all, GET YOUR FLU SHOTS!!!!! It is the time and lets keep this horrible stuff at bay. Also FYI the H1N1 shot will be available in the middle of October.

Air dried clothes anyone?
It has happened again, our dryer went out so I am back to the old fashion way of hanging them out to dry. My neighbors are kind enough to let us use their line. They do this with all of their clothes, and my kids love to run through them. Now its my turn to watch my kids with sticky hands touch all of my nice clean clothes. What the saying? What goes around comes around. Anyone have a spare dryer?

American Girl Doll FYI

Just to let any mommy's out there who have little girls that love American Girl Dolls, 4 of their movies are on sale for just $5. I believe they are Kit, Molly, Samantha, and Felicity. These would be great Christmas presents, at quite a bargain. Just go to their web site and look under movies, pretty easy. Happy Shopping!

Loving Family Time

I was going through my pictures tonight and came across this one. It was taken last year around Thanksgiving. My mom's family have a cabin down by Capital Reef, down in southern central Utah. All growing up it was a tradition to drive down to our cabin the night of Thanksgiving after our feast with my Dad's family. All of my cousins would come down and we would fit around 35 to 40 people in a 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood were the times that we spend down there crowed as can be. So this past year my parents decided to start it back up again with their children. We all went down and had our second thanksgiving dinner down at the cabin and we had the most wonderful time. This is a picture of us hiking to Casidy Arch. For those of you who haven't been to Capital Reef, it is a place worth checking out. I love it down there and I wish that I could visit more often.
