F.H.E. (A LESSON ON NEPHI!)

Jared went to our wards youth conference this past week with the youth of our ward. They had a fireside out there and one of the speakers gave a talk that stuck really heavily with Jared. He came home and told me about it and felt that we should have a family home evening the same as this man told that he did with his kids when they were small. The story about this family night that happened years ago with this family was very touching even with Jared relaying the story on to me. The family prepared a FHE lesson about Nephi and his family in the wilderness and how good Nephi was and that he was so obedient! They talked about the Liahona and how it can help guide you if you CTR and have faith. So, we set out the the wilderness, (the backyard) we talked about Nephi and his wicked brothers. We talked about how Nephi broke his bow and couldn't find food, so he prayed and was guided by the Liahona. (a lotion box wrapped in masking tape) The story that this man told at the fireside was about this lesson and how through the years their kids would bring up things about it. It really stuck with them! Their oldest son (who was Bryants age at the time of the FHE lesson) was at the airport ready to leave on his mission when his dad put his arm around him and asked "What really made you decide to go on a mission son?" He said back " It was that night when you and mom taught us about Nephi in that FHE lesson, I decided right then that I wanted to be like Nephi and obey the Lord." What an amazing thing, you never know what they are retaining. The kids were so excited about that lesson and talk about it a lot and want us to call them Nephi.

This is the food that we found being directed by the Liahona!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JAMON!

Jamon was so excited to turn 3! We decided to get all the family together and have a barbecue. We ate hamburgers and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. It was a little chilly for June but we had a great time. It was so cute because when Jamon opened his presents he sat in the chair and waited patiently for Mason and Bryant to read the cards before he even torn into the paper. I was very impressed!! He got a new life jacket and a little playhut. He got a book, water toys, balls and a bat, and the Incredible Hulk hands that talk when you punch people! He is a very lucky boy to have so many people that love him.

SCHOOL DAYS!

In Bryant's last week of school, his class got to dress up however they wanted. Bry decided he would be a football player, and his friend Kinley who is in his class was Hannah Montana! They looked soooo cute! I made them pose, and they got super embarrassed.

KAILEY, THE BIG GRADUATE!

Kailey was so excited for graduation day! Her teacher did such a good job putting it together. They had garbage sacks for gowns, and cute little caps. Kailey knew all of her ABC's and was (of course,) the cutest little girl in her class!

FOR ALL YOU TWILIGHT FANS!
