So Long Sweet Summer

Well, tomorrow I leave Phoenix to head home to Rexburg! Part of me is super excited to get home, back to our house, our furniture, our real dishes..everything we leave behind for 5 months every summer. But the other part of me is kinda sad to be leaving, I really liked Phoenix...not so much the heat, but overall it was a good summer! As I was thinking about leaving the other day I did realize there are going to be lots of things I will miss about living here...or maybe its just things that the small town of Rexburg doesn't have! Here are a few....

.
Super Wal-mart- Who doesn't love a super wal-mart? I loved that I could get pretty much everything I needed in one trip...groceries, toiletres, etc.

The Library- My sis and I found an awesome library that we went to every week. I have only been to the library in Rexburg once, and that is for a reason...every book was from like 1950!

XI Clothing- This store is so awesome! Way cute clothes at very affordable prices! Everytime I went in (about every other week) it was almost a completly different store because they got new things in ALL the time!

The shopping in general- I guess most places are better than Rexburg and Idaho Falls!

But the thing I will miss most of all in Phoenix is my sister Cami! It was so fun to have her here this summer and have someone to hang out with on Tuesday and Wednesday (her days off) every week! She is living in Scottsdale as a nanny and will be here until April.

Well,
So long sweet summer
I stumbled upon you and gratefully basked in your rays
So long sweet summer
I fell into you
Now you're gracefully falling away

Hey thanks
Thanks for that summer
It's cold where you're going....And yes this is very true! Cold Rexburg, here we come!!

2 More Weeks!

So the summer is coming to an end. I have to admit that I am VERY excited about that. 5 months has just been a little too long to be living in an apartment, without our own stuff! So needless to say I am very excited about going back to Rexburg, back to our house and own furniture, and back to a normal life!!

We haven't really been up to to much. Just working mostly. Bren has been putting a lot of time and energy into getting his car ready to make the trip back to Rexburg. I must say that it is looking pretty good. With all the new interior it looks pretty descent. Last night we went on a little date and Bren insisted that we drive the Camaro! It doesn't have the passenger seat in it yet, so I had to sit in the back, Bren said he was my "chauffeur"!

My sis, Cami, and I made a little trip to Scottsdale and went to Fashion Square Mall. It was pretty fun to go shopping with her, and then we decided we needed to get in on the cupcake craze, and stopped for cupcakes! They were really good but not something I would pay $3.25 for very often!

The Newest Addition to our Family

I grew up in a family being the oldest of 2 younger sisters and 1 younger brother. Therefore coming from a family of mostly girls and having a father who claims the only thing he knows about cars is where the gas, oil, and payment go, I wasn't really exposed to cars very much. So when Brennen and I started dating the "car" talk between his brothers, dad, and him, were some what foreign to me. I still don't really understand what is that facinating with older cars, but I know it makes Brennen happy, so I just go with it.

After seeing Transformers, Bren began loving old Camaro's! After a while of looking on-line, craigs list, e-bay, and the sorts, he decided he had to get one. So Tuesday morning we went and picked up this lovely 1979 Camaro for $1700.

So Brennen decided that he needed new interior for this car because as you can tell in the picture below it was TRASHED! So the new interior I am very happy about, because I told Bren I wouldn't ride in it like it was! So this new car has become quite the project! Bren has inlisted the help of his brother Sam and friend Matt, and the guys have been working on it pretty much whenever they are not working or sleeping. I will keep you updated on the progress of the car. Oh yeah, I told Bren he could only buy it if he re-painted it...so don't worry we will be getting rid of that ugly brown VERY soon!

The new interior from another car, whose home is our living room until it gets put in!

Proof that I helped...just a little!

Brennen in the car....I think that might be a Zoolander face!

Ok, I got in...just long enough to take this picture!

So there it is the newest addition to our "Car Family"!
