Bear Lake

We spent 4 days in Bear Lake the beginning of June for Brennen's family reunion. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, hanging out at the beach, and spending time with family.

It is SO beautiful up there!

Avalynn loved being with her cousin Zaylie

=)

This is the closest he got to catching a fish...sadly it got away

One morning Rawson woke up at 4:30 and would go back to sleep which resulted in a drive around the whole lake. Lucky him slept the whole way!

This kid LOVES the water!

Mother's Day

Being a mother is the most amazing, rewarding, yet oh so challenging thing! I love these two kids more than I ever thought was possible and couldn't imagine my life any other way right now. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be home with them every single day, watching them grow and develop, teaching them, and loving on them!

Dustin's Wedding

Brennen met us in St. George a couple weeks after the marathon for his cousin Dustin's wedding. Dust lived with us for a couple weeks last summer in Texas while we waited for his apartment to open so we had the chance to get to know him pretty well. We were so excited to be able to celebrate his wedding day with him!

Avalynn was only content out on the dance floor!

Salt Lake City Half Marathon

For the past few years we have met Ron and Leslie in Salt Lake for the SLC Marathon. Even before I had Rawson I decided I was going to join the crew and run the half marathon this year. I started training the end of January and literally worked my butt off as it definitely helped me lose the baby weight. Training was not easy with 2 kids, trying to figure out when I was going to have time to run, kids being sick, etc. . I was surprised at how nervous I was for the race, but it was super fun. I don't think I would ever run a race by myself, because doing all the pre-race stuff with everyone is what made it so much fun. And it helped that Cami and I ran the whole thing together, so much better to have someone to talk to and push you along. My goal was to finish under 2:30 and my final time was 2:21! Man alive was my body beat after though! I got a really bad stomach ache after the race that lasted until late that night. I was pretty dang proud of myself for accomplishing a half marathon, especially since I hadn't really ran like that since middle school cross country, and having had a baby 6 months prior! I will probably do another one again, it's always nice to have something to be working towards.

I was pretty mad that they lost my bib and had to hand write one!

Weekend in Salt Lake City

The kids and I headed out to Utah so I could run the Salt Lake City Half Marathon. We left about 5:30am on Thursday so the kids could sleep for a while in the car which ended up working out great. We only stopped once, the kids did awesome! We had such a fun weekend with lots of family and friends all cramming into my grandma's condo. Good times!!

We stopped by our good friend's the Haynie's on our way to Salt Lake. We really miss living by them!

Avalynn was on cloud 9 playing tennis with Mimi

On Friday we walked through Temple Square to go check out City Creek. I love these pictures of her that I snapped!

Mimi bought Avalynn this Princess Jasmine that she is absolutely in love with!
