"Thank you for my birthday!"

The sweetest hard headed little guy is 4! I've been so excited for this birthday boy. May is packed full of birthday celebrations of 2 brothers, 1 sweet cousin and 1 precious great Grammy and you can see the wheels spinning in Dillons face; without saying anything he asks "when is my birthday?"
This year, with the move to San Antonio and away from the friendships he has formed over the last few years, we decided to have his birthday party early. So, for his actual birthday weekend, we celebrated big with just the 5 of us. Too many times I'd stop and look at us and think "the 5 of us ARE a party!"
We kicked off the celebrating with dinner on a patio/playground. His last night as a 3 year old brought some yuck growing pains - but I guess that's appropriate in growing up!
Saturday morning he (FINALLY) completed his first successful swim lesson. This was huge for us. I guess he woke up feeling like a big boy and ended up breaking through some fears in the water.
Then it was off to Target for some Legos (and of course plenty of unnecessary-but-typical-target purchases).
He chose to have dinner at "Chuchy Cheese" and his closet-gambler daddy had no objection!
We bribed Drew for this picture - many of you will be shocked to know that, in his ripe ole age of 7, he is utterly embarrassed by Bob the Builder. As much as I, too, felt "over" Bob ... his objection to being seen next to a Bob ride made me sad that the little boy in him is fading. I've decided to bring out the Bob movies for lil Will!
Then it was off for cupcakes at the "homtel"! We celebrated "Puppy's" birthday too. Puppy turned 1 this weekend; though really he is 2 - he was given to Will just weeks after he was born and Dillon immediately took "Puppy" in as his own.
An awesome day resulting in late night snuggles
"Take me down to the river..." Sunday was spent on the Guadalupe. It is safe to say the boys love the hill country just as much as their parents!

Daddy's "sherdouls" are the best place to be
Learning to climb ... by the expert of course!

"Thank you for my birthday!" was his expression throughout the weekend - I think he had a happy transition from 3 to 4!

And that chapter is closed!

Rob and the big boys drove into Tyler this week to meet the movers at the Spring Creek house. Much like our departure from the Chilton house in the Azalea district, I did not get to say a "goodbye." I'd like to think it was best this way, as Andrew had a hard enough time saying bye, as they locked up the house and drove by the school. If I had been there, I would have been a ball of tears every waking moment of the week - encouraging a dramatic departure for my children, I'm sure!
We spend this Sunday, in our "home!" (as Will so happily calls this 500 sqft hotel room), flipping through pictures of the last (almost) 8 years in Tyler, and, specifically, of our time spent in the Spring Creek house, and feeling overly blessed by the memories this house provided. Those that helped share in these memories know that it wasn't always easy, but in so many ways, we are absolutely the family we are because of the short, but full, 2 years spent here.

Holidays
Holidays were treasured here - Daddy was home and we soaked up all the family time we could with family cooking/baking, eating
together, playing games, and celebrating each holiday to its fullest...

 Downtime
Long, fought for naptime's were accomplished in our room ... where I'd finally get them down, just to find myself staring at their quiet, cuddly faces.

We welcomed Molly into the family here!

Milestone's
Many milestones were witnessed in this house.
