Trying the blog thing again.... Trying!

It has been almost a year since my last post. We finally got a computer, not only a computer but a computer that actually works! Yay!! Maybe now I can upload pictures and update my blog more. Last time I blogged, I was about 3 weeks away from having my baby girl. My baby girl is now almost 9 months old! Not only is my baby girl almost 9 months old, my Issak is now a 2nd grader and my Skyler is a pre schooler! Why do my kids have to grow up? Totally unfair if you ask me!..
Seriously.... How cute is she? LOVE her!
FYI... When I get more pictures uploaded onto our computer I'll add some of my extremely handsome boys... I LOVE them too!

I did it.... Finally!

So I know I promised like what.... 6 months ago that I was going to update my blog. Well I had every intention of doing that, but got busy and just never did it. Then to top it off both our computers decided that they don't want to work... at all! So I haven't been able to really check blogs to much at all. Today I'm at my parents house and thought I could do a quick update while I'm here. There won't be any pictures, but at least I can update right?

Ok... Where to start??? Well I'll just go back to April when my baby boy turned 2. I can't believe that 2 years has already gone by... well now its been over 2 1/2 years. He is my best little buddy! He is so sweet and super funny!! He does the cutest, funniest things... We just love him to death!! For his birthday Anthony took the day off to spend with us and at this point Issak was still in kindergarten (weird). When Issak got out of school we went and had lunch at Cafe Rio then to the park to fly kites that they had gotten in their Easter baskets. It was really windy that day so it was perfect. We did get pictures but sadly can't upload them. :( Later that evening we took them to Jumpin' Jacks. They had so much fun! Our good friends the Homers joined us so all the kids could play. Then we had some cake and ice cream. It was a fun day and a fun way to celebrate his birthday.

In July Issak turned 6. Once again I can't believe how fast the last 6 years have gone. We went to Cowabunga bay right on his birthday. It was a ton of fun and he LOVED it!! We let him pick a friend that he wanted to invite and he picked his friend Marcus (Anthony's cousins little boy). They all came and helped make it such a fun day! That night we went out to dinner at the Spaghetti Factory, which he picked, and again Anthony's cousins family joined us along with my parents. We all sang happy birthday to him and they brought out ice cream with a candle. He loved it! (again we have pictures but cant upload them). A few months before his birthday he learned to ride his bike without training wheels. So for his birthday we got him a bigger bike. He loves it! All summer long he would ride his bike around our neighborhood. This year in August he started 1st grade. I seriously Can Not believe I have a 1st grader!!! I was so sad to send him to his very first day of all day school. But he did so great and LOVES school! He is super smart and loves to learn and has loved learning even more how to read. He is starting to read chapter books and does SO well! He is such a sweet boy and adds so much to our family! I would be lost without him!!

In August we also found out that we were adding a baby girl to our family! This is our last baby, so to find out that we were having a girl was SO exciting!!! I have loved getting all pink for her! She will be arriving in a short 3ish weeks, which can't go fast enough at this point. Just in time for Christmas! She is going to be the BEST Christmas present I have ever received!!!

On Halloween my kids were so fun! Skyler is big enough this year that he got the concept of going up to the door to get treats. He was dressed up as the cutest Angels baseball player, complete with a mini bat and hat! We asked Issak for a few months before what he wanted to be and he couldn't decide between a police officer or a knight. After a few trips to Halloween/costume stores he decided on a S.W.A.T Police officer. He looked awesome! Sadly it was so cold and rainy on Halloween this year, but that didn't stop us! We got our umbrellas out and went trick or treating. I stayed nice and warm with my little built in heater and luckily the rain slowed down just long enough for us to get through about 3 or 4 streets. Issak was crazy this year. He literally ran from house to house with my dad. We couldn't keep up. The rest of us got home and Issak was still out trick or treating! He had a massive amount of candy that I have really enjoyed picking at! :) It was so fun to get to celebrate Halloween for 2 days this year as well. On Sunday, which was really Halloween, we had a fun Halloween dinner at my parents house. They made witches brew (homemade root beer) that the kids got to stir and loved making. You make it with dry ice so it was nice and foggy.... if that's what you would call it. It was so fun!!

Now we just celebrated Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving for lots of reasons. One is that its a time of years for me to reflect on everything that I have to be thankful for. Although at times I really forget and start thinking of all that I don't have, I really have SO much to be thankful for! And even though I should think of these things all through the year I'm glad to have a special holiday to really make me remember. I also love to eat and I absolutely LOVE pumpkin pie!! My parents always have Thanksgiving dinner at there house and its so fun to get together with family and eat, visit and look at all the black Friday ads. We didn't go out shopping this year. I didn't want to have to beat anyone with my gigantic belly...

Now Christmas is just around the corner! I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas. I love the feeling of the holiday spirit everywhere you go, I love the Christmas music and all the fun festivities there are to do with family all through the season. This year will be a little different with having just had a baby, but I can't imagine anything more special. It'll be so fun to have our sweet baby girl to remind us of the real reason we celebrate Christmas.

While getting ready for baby to come, we decided to put our boys in the same room. So we put together the bunk beds and moved Skyler into Issaks room. I was a little worried about Skyler being with Issak and waking him up and not letting him sleep well for school. But they transitioned so well! Skyler loves being in the room with Issak and Issak also loves having Skyler in there with him. Our boys seriously love each other and get along so great! I mean don't get me wrong they do have their fair share of arguing and not getting along, but for the most part they love each other so much. With Issak being almost 4 years older than Skyler I always kind of worried about how they would get along. But Issak is such a sweet boy and will play with anyone regardless of age. He loves that Skyler always wants to do what he is doing and that he thinks Issak is so cool! They are the best kids ever, I seriously could not ask for better children!! We are completely blessed!!!

Well there is SO much more I probably could have blogged about, but at least that's a start. Hopefully it won't be so long before I decide to blog again!

What blog??

So you'd think I have fallen off the face of the planet as far as this blogging thing goes... But I really haven't, Im still here!
Our camera is not working (for the 2nd time) and so I can't take pictures of anything worth blogging about. And whats a blog if you can't post cute pics right?
Well we have done some very fun things the past month or so, our ward had a chili cook off/fall social, and the kids got to dress up and play games. It was a lot of fun. Also a bunch of us here at the gates went to Cornbelly's, also a ton of fun!! Issak likes to do what he wants these days and decided to wander off... scared the crap out of me! Luckily I have GREAT friends and Rachael helped me find him, thank you again Rachael!!!! Issak and Skyler loved being there and doing all the things they had there to do. Anthony had to work that night so he wasn't able to go and when I do things alone with the kids especially in big crowds it can be very overwhelming! But Im just grateful for awesome friends who were so willing to help me out while we were there!!
Issak also played his 3rd season of soccer and loved it! He seriously is so good at it and loves to play, which I am so happy about! They just played their last game on Saturday and won!! I'll have to get some pics off my phone and post them. Now he can't wait to get signed up for another season! He is still loving school as well and doing so well!! He is learning and loving to read and spell, everywhere we go he is spelling words he sees and asking me what it spells. He is super smart! He has a fantastic teacher and I wish she could move grade to grade with him!!
Skyler is getting bigger and bigger every day! He loves to climb on EVERYTHING! He is also starting to say a ton of words. For example....
Fishy
cracker
Mama
kitty cat
yay
uh-oh
and so much more. He can also make animal sounds. He can do the horse, cow, dog, pig and tries to do a cat. He has his 18 month check up on Wednesday. I can't believe he is already that big!! Time flies much to quickly!!
In about 2 1/2 weeks we would be having a baby! Can you believe it has come so fast? I can't! It's weird to think about and also still very sad. Issak tells me that our baby is in heaven and Heavenly Father is taking care of him now... Isn't he cute??

Happy 30th!!

This last week was Anthony's 30TH Birthday!! When I met him he was 21, about to turn 22 and I was 18.... Wow, time flies!! The Friday before his actual birthday I had planned a surprise party for him. It turned out so great! The surprise as we got there was awesome!!! He had no clue which was great considering I have the Hardest time keeping secrets!
On his actual birthday he took the day off so he was able to come with us to take Issak to school and to pick him up. That night we went to dinner with our good friends Bonnie and Jeremey to Johnny Carinos. It was really tasty!! The only bummer about it was that we had to take our kids with us. No one was able to watch them... I have 3 in laws within my family, 2 of those in-laws have the EXACT same birthday as Anthony!!! So of course none of them could watch my kids and my brother was throwing a surprise party for my sister in law, which my parents were going to. But even though our kids came with us... and were SO naughty... it was still nice to go to dinner and enjoy his day!
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Anthony.... Thanks for ALL you do for us and for being such a great daddy and husband!!!!!

Birthday Fun!!

A month ago... I know im WAY behind, Issak turned 5! All he wanted to do for his birthday was go camping with grandma and grandpa. So he went up 2 days before his birthday and then Anthony, Skyler and I went up on his birthday and had a small celebration with him. We spent the night but had to go home the next morning since Anthony had to work. We took his presents and cupcakes and had a little party! He loved it and it was so much fun! He kept saying "this is the best day EVER"! It made me so happy to see my little man so happy!
I can't believe he is already 5! It seems like seriously yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. He is such a sweet boy and he adds so much to our family. I don't know what we would ever do without him!! WE LOVE YOU BUDDY!!!!!

Say What??

I have SO much that I need to blog about and I will eventually! Today my baby started Kindergarten. I can not believe that he is already 5 let alone going to a big kids school! I have a lot of mixed emotions about him going. I worry about kids being mean to him, I worry about him learning bad habits. But at the same time I am so excited for him to take this big step!
He loved his first day!! I told him that sometimes he'll be out of school on a day that he would normally be going to school and he told me that that doesn't make him happy. Even if there's no school he wants to go! I guess I should be happy that he likes it so much! He is so smart and loves to learn so I know he'll do well!!
My mom is the lunch lady at the school he is going to so he's very excited also about going to "Grandmas work" everyday!!
