Happy Birthday Piper!

Piper turned one year old this week. I have loved every minute with Piper. She is such a delight and I don't know what we would do without her in our family.

We celebrated by having a little party at home with our family. We had pizza and salad for dinner.

Piper loves her brothers. They are all very good to her. They also make her laugh pretty easily.

Piper took a quick look at her presents and then crawled off to play with something else.

Josh helped her open her presents. Piper got a munchichi and a small cabbage patch doll from our family.

She also recieved 3 cute dresses and a darling bag from Leenie and Parkie. My parents sent her a card with some money.

Piper's first taste of cake.

Happy Birthday Piper. I love you like crazy!

Pepperdine Waves

Baseball season has started and with Finn and Atticus both playing this year our schedule has become very busy. My biggest challenge is finding time for homework and dinner before we have to be out the door by 5pm for practice.

Finn had his first two games this week. Atticus' team is still practicing- more photos to come once his games begin. We lucked out because both boys have great coaches who enjoy what they are doing and put a lot of effort into their coaching.

Finn played catcher today for an inning and decided that it is really tiring. He is a great baseball player and has gotten really good at hitting the ball.

St. Patricks Day 2010

Last Tuesday Atticus made a Leprechaun Trap in Kindergarten. We all were excited to put it out St. Patricks Eve and couldn't wait to wake up the next morning to find out if the trap had worked. I forgot to tell the boys that Leprechauns are very smart and very hard to trap. I didn't realize that Atticus really believed he would catch one. Notice Atticus' face. This was what he looked like Wednesday morning when no Leprechaun was caught in the trap.

We awoke and found little green footprints all over the living room. Finn immediately wanted to know why the footprints were made out of paper and had tape on them. He is getting too smart!

The Leprechaun left a poem explaining that he is too smart and too quick to be caught in a trap. He did however leave a little bag of gold chocolate.

Not even the chocolate could make Atticus happy. He was pretty disappointed.

Finn was barely awake for the whole thing.

Las Vegas Spring

This has been our coldest winter/spring since we have lived here. I have been loving the cold weather and being able to wear our winter clothes a little bit longer this year. We have had quite a bit of rain too. I have tried to enjoy it because we really don't get a lot of weather here. The great thing is it that no matter how cold we think it is, it is never too cold to go outside and play.

2nd grade Field Trip

A few weeks ago I was able to go on a field trip with Finn and his second grade class. It worked out that Josh had the day off and was able to watch Piper and Miles for a few hours. I haven't been able to help very much in either of the boys classes this year so I was really glad I got to go. We went to the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. The museum was okay, but I think the city of Las Vegas could spend a litle less on casinos and a little more on museums. The kids still had a good time and fortunately we had a great tour guide who taught us all some things we didn't know and made it fun.

Leo, Finn, Max, and Jace

The kids loved eating lunch outside and playing on the playground outside of the museum.

Finn is starting to look so much older to me. It makes me sad in a way that he is growing up so fast. I can't believe he will be 8 years old soon.
