The Mortensen Family

We went to see Travis Tritt in concert. We figured it would round out our concert tour...Sawyer Brown, Alabama, Alan Jackson, Clint Black, George Strait, Shania Twain and Martina McBride. It was a small acoustic concert. He just talked, sang, and played the guitar. The concert was pretty cool, but the crowd was definitely strange. Lots of older women. One younger guy (maybe 20) sat in front of us and closed his eyes and sang to every song. The guy I sat next to told me this was his 19th Travis Tritt concert. The best was the lady who stood at the end of each song, clapping with tears streaming down her face. There are some die hard fans out there. Who knew?!

We finally did it! We bought a new house. It's a new home built by Lennar. It is supposed to be completed the middle of May. It's the Sycamore 2 on a corner lot of a culdesac. We have the mountain to the back and side of our house and it is a relatively large lot size. I couldn't be happier!

Todd and I got home from date night and I had tried out some bright red MAC lipstick. When I went to tuck Wyatt in he said I looked like a biker chick (I was also wearing my black fake leather jacket). Maybe that will be our next date night...you never know!

On January 2, 2015 we said goodbye to Ted Cox. Paula's husband, and the kids' Grandpa Ted. We all headed to Winslow, AZ for his funeral. Despite the sad circumstances, we managed to have a good time, just the way he would have had it!
