My Birthday
My birthday was great. Starting with birthday pancakes, my class each brought me a flower for my birthday, my visiting teacher visited me at school and had cupcakes for my whole class, a pedicure with Emma, fresh strawberries from the strawberry stand, and ending the day with a chili cheese dog from Fudruckers and birthday cake. This is going to be a good year!!

Showstoppers
Emma and Carson had a great performance. Carson did a great interpretation of Schroeder from the Peanuts for the song "My New Philosophy" and they both loved singing the theme song for The Muppet Movie.

Easter Breakfast and LARPing
We had an extra good time at the Easter Breakfast this year. Besides the normal walk around the pond and feeding the ducks we happened to have front row seats for a Live Action Role Play (LARP) i.e. a bunch of nerds with weapons playing a big game of pretend. The kids thought this was the best thing ever! Dungeons and Dragons here we come!!

Beach with the Powell's
The Powells came down to SoCal for a vacation to celebrate Elizabeth's return from her mission. We were able to join them for a day at the beach. It was beautiful. The kids had a great time setting up a shop and even conned someone into buying some seaweed. It was fun to see Elizabeth even though Todd could not speak Portuguese with her at all!! They even came to spend the night with us and went to church the next day. The only down side to all the visitors is the possibility of forgetting a child at home. (this may or may not have happened to Wyatt)
