The lunar eclipse was pretty cool to see. We saw it get to this point, a small sliver, then the clouds rolled in and we missed the rest. But it was a fun excuse to get together with neighbors and have popcorn and treats!

Camping
We went back to one of our favorite group camping sites up near Jinx Lake called Council. It is the perfect site for large groups. All by itself with plenty of space for lots of tents and walking distance to the lake. Though this year there were fire restrictions so no campfire. Boooo! We had a large group from our ward and the Roseners even joined us this year. The Salines came up and Nephi was kind enough to bring his kayaks
and let everyone take turns on them. It was tons of fun!! I think we'll
have to go back next year!! We had to say goodbye to our tent due to a large hole that was melted into the tent by the lantern. We've had many fun times with this tent and it was sad to say goodbye.

Flag Football
Carson got his first taste of intramurals by playing flag football. The 8th graders were there coaches and I was able to watch a couple of their games. The highlight of the season was when Carson caught an interception and ran it for a touchdown. Fun times. If he's anything like his dad...he's got a lot more intramurals in his future!
Wyatt also got a taste of flag football by playing for the city. He loved it. He was a pretty good quarterback and was excellent on the defensive line. He had lots of sacks. At one point he called over to us watching from the sidelines "I found a weak spot!". It was fun cheering him on.

Funny Kids
Emma, do you want to have singing lessons?
No, I already sing really loud!
Owen, this game is kind of hard--you have to be on your toes!
But I'm sitting criss cross applesauce!
At a conference Wyatt was at the craft table and was supposed to fill in the statement I believe...
he finished it with ...in being honest, chaste, benevolent and virtuous.
